Opie's Tree Service

Well, where to start. Opie was recommended to me by a friend who has had work done by them before. I had Opie come out on June 27th and look at a massive and unhealthy Oak that I wanted to get removed. Pleased with the quote he gave, I messaged him and asked when he could get it done. He responded, "...roughly two weeks I will call ahead of time touch base when I know exa,ct day." On July 9th, I message him again because I hadn't heard from him. I simply asked if he had a tentative time, to which he responded, "I am little behind with all the storm damage think bout two weeks." Again after not hearing anything back from him, I messaged him on Aug 1st and asked if there was an update, and he said, "starting sometime this week will let you know the exact day." Yet again, I hadn't heard anything from him, and after the storm came through, I messaged him back on August 5th to see if he could take care of this tree because I wanted it down before it caused severe damage. He didn't respond. I messaged him again on Aug 12th and said, "Tried to call but couldn't leave a message because your mailbox is full. Do you have a day yet that you can get this done? It's been 6.5 weeks since we initially spoke, and I need this tree removed before another storm possibly rolls through. Please let me know ASAP." His last message to me said, "hey im sorry I still have trees on houses and garages, not sure when it's going to let up. unfortunately, I have to prioritize." This is ridiculous and it is not my problem that you are backed up with work. From the very beginning Opie seemed like it wasn't a job that he really wanted to do. That's fine, but don't keep telling someone that you're going to do it and then all of a sudden, basically say it's not a priority. ITS A PRIORITY TO ME AND MY FAMILY. I am in the Marines and am very busy so I'm trying to get this tree removed before it falls like a responsible home owner. I relied on your company to get it done and you couldn't. Your lack of communication through this process was the final straw, and I hope that you don't treat other customers this way. I will never recommend your company to anyone. For those who read this, I do not recommend his services. Unless of course you enjoy getting the run around and waiting decades for a tree to be removed, or if you love being left in the dark the whole process then he's your guy.

They removed 8 tall gum trees for me today. Everything about their service gets 5 stars from me. They were very thoughtful and careful of our property, plants, etc. They had all the equipment they needed to ensure everything came down where it would not cause damage. Their cleanup was outstanding. During the day I decided I wanted another two trees down and the price he gave me for the extra work was very fair. When I need more work in the future, I know who I'll call!

Work was completed on time with no surprises. Team was professional and maintained safety requirements with very large trees near my home.

Crew did an amazing job. Where prompt and professional. We were very surprised at the level of detail they excercised cleaning up the areas around the trees they fell. Most of the areas were overgrown with weeds and all the areas they worked on were completely cleared of any weeds and brush. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommend you give them a call when you need any tree service performed.

Quick service; left the area clean

Approached Opie's 4 man group working in my neighborhood, requested estimate for the work. Within half an hour, Chris Gromlich gave me a reasonable estimate. Within the next hour his group moved their trucks and equipment to my property, completed the work and cleaned up the area. They are fast and professional, using a powerful mulcher (up to 12 inch diameter trees), a and quot;cherry-pickerand quot; with a reach above my two story home, a small Bobcat log handling vehicle and several large chain saws.
