+ -1 moreI have Verizon and would discourage anyone from dealing with this company. They charge too much, have horrible customer service, and treat their customers like garbage. DO NOT DEAL WITH VERIZON FOR YOUR PHONE, INTERNET, OR TELEVISION SERVICE!
Description of Work: I had been a customer for Verizon for about 8 years getting their phone and internet service first at my apartment and then moving the service to my home. I also subscribed to Verizon Wireless as my cellular service and DirecTV for my satellite service. At the end of of 2010, I bundled all the services together in an attempt to save some money. At first, the savings did not materialize and then around the first of February, my internet service went down. The phone worked but I could not get an Internet connection. I called the customer service number (this is a joke, you call them and wait for about 45 minutes to an hour to get someone on the phone and they pass you off to another person and then decide you need to call a totally different number where you again wait 45 minutes to an hour. I did this for about a week when the person decided that the network people needed to be involved. I waited another week and no one ever contacted me. At this point, I decided I would solve the problem by cancelling my Verizon and DirecTV accounts (no problems with them other than pricey) and get phone, internet and television through the local cable company. Verizon then contacts me and tells me there is an early cancellation fee for the internet service because I bundled all the services and got discounted Internet service (remember, I cancelled my service because I wasn't getting the Internet service promised me). I disputed this with three phone calls to Verizon and the last phone call I put in a dispute of the early cancellation charge. That was the last I heard from them until today when Verizon had a collection agency contact me for the charges. Verizon is most crooked company on the face of the earth. I highly recommend that no one deal with this company because the charge too much, have horrible customer service, and they treat their customers like garbage. DO NOT DEAL WITH VERIZON FOR ANYTHING!
