Terrible customer service experience over a job that took twice as long as originally planned. I left messages for weeks and weeks for management to call me back. When I finally did get a manager on the phone they were argumentative and unapologetic about my frustrations. It seems like this company has too many customers and not enough staff to serve them. Very disappointing-- especially for a local company.

Contract signed on January 6, 2022 and sizable deposit made. Five months later we still have no start date. We have repeatedly called with our concerns over delays and all we get are excuses. The president of the company told us he doesn't care about our frustration and dissatisfaction and he hung up on us. We seriously regret ever dealing with this company.

... After studying their High Quality work on a friend's 2nd Story Sunroom and Dining Room... My Bride and I decided that we wanted this little company in Salem to build our Dream Room. Steve ( Southwest Sunroom Sales Manager ) was right on track; He reassured us that the Southwest Team could handle any contingency. And they did with Incredible Results ! Personable and friendly communication, and coordination, removed all the stress that comes with any challenging project - they actually made it fun. These are professional contractors and builders and a service team that deliver to Happy Customers. Some events: Pergula takedown, Deck removed, Fish pond moved and filled in, Electrical power updated to code, and power lead moved to other side of home... Then the really impressive Construction started on our 14x18-foot new "LIVING ROOM" There were No Inspection Issues, WOW. And believe me, the inspectors were here during All stages of the project (s), You get your money's worth plus = Southwest always builds safe, above, and beyond the code. i.e. you can literally drive a tank up on the subfloor and foundation. It Is BUILT ! I retired from the U.S Marines and have spent the last 26 years in Service and Installation work locally, and have been to "some" job sites and teamed up with lots of service people. What has impressed me most about the Southwest folks was how motivated and skilled the two guys that did most of the construction were... Troy and Key really excel in my book, and they obviously love the kind of challenging work they do. Come sun or rain , they were here early and motivated and ready with a plan to get 'er done. Communication and Status updates are very good top-down = Service Manager and VP (Kevin) Kept all of us in the loop informed... Even after the initial startup and walk around... to make sure each Builder, Contractor, and Customer is Happy and on the same sheet of music. Noteworthy: When the guys who are actually building your sunroom care enough to call and remind you "that if anything should go wrong this weekend [ because of an approaching tropical storm ] please just call us, we will be home all weekend." That is when you know Southwest has attracted some really Great Employees ! By the way, the new roof and guttering held back and dispersed an incredible amount of rain. The cleanup was always immaculate every day and at Completion = You almost can't tell they were even here and the Mud had been very high... Well, I lied just a little; There is this incredibly fine building attached to our little home. It is really more of a cathedral than a Sunroom ! This experience, and this addition, has been BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST THINGS WE HAVE EVER DONE. Pat and Theresa L 2018 Salem Virginia [ smile ]

Excellent porch enclosure ideas and plan designs presented. Totally pleased with the planning process and initial beginning of our porch enclosure. The quality of work is evident and we could not be more satisfied.

They are excellent workers. Report to work exactly on time, clean up the work area, are polite and very exacting.

We are delighted with our twelve new windows and three doors, especially the front door with sidelights and the French double doors downstairs. It is truly amazing how the new windows and doors open our view to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains that surround us. Shane and Wayne did a superb job installing them. It was wonderful to have all the debris removed daily and they were so tidy you wouldn?t even have known they were on the job during the four days. They were on time and worked diligently every day. There was no evidence of construction at the end of each day. So our lives were barely interrupted except for watching the craftsmanship in action. We have half of the inside trim done and expects to complete and be ready to paint the trim by the middle of next week. It is going to give the whole house, interior and exterior a much more classic look that I love. Please share our appreciation with the rest of the staff and feel free to quote us. It is our pleasure to write this endorsement of a job well done.

Southwest Sunroom did a fantastic job from start to finish. The sales representative was available immediately and through the process. The installation was perfect. The two man crew were courteous, clean, professional and did a great job. I have my new door and side lights.

Kevin and the team were hands on in every step of the process. They were here everyday and committed to our project. they customized everything to our specifications and set a high bar for the quality of work. We are THRILLED with our room!

Absolutely perfect I started project sooner than expected, finished in timely manner, workman were very respectful of our property.

Very professional presentation, no hard sell. we went with Window World, similar service and professionalism, price to quality a bit better.

They came to measure windows, and arrived within estimated time frame. 29 windows were installed during the week. They assisted by bringing in two crews to get the installation completed quickly. We have a baby in the house.

Kem was great in explaning and measuring for work to be done, and did just what I needed. The two men explained all about installing it.

They arrived on date set. Finished in the day and left in the with a new room and clean.

The whole process went smooth. The meeting to prepare the estimate was timely. Scheduled out for six weeks and in 6 weeks they were ready to start.. It took approx. 3 hours to complete. The workers were professional and cleaned up and hauled away the debris. The vinyl weatherstripping trim around the garage doors actually was put on better than when originally done by the garage door installers. Even received a call back about a week later checking on how things turned out. Good outfit to work with.

The work was very professionally done, with no waste of time or delay. The two guys knew what they were doing. I am very pleased with the outcome. It met my expectations and then some. The crew was courteous, time-efficient and neat. The work area was kept clean with no debris or scraps left on either the inside or outside. They disposed of the old windows. I would recommend the company without hesitation.

It was fine. They were very nice people and we would do business with them again. There was nothing I disliked, I liked everything. They were very thorough. We just elected not to have that time at this time. We would certainly make advantage of their services in a future date.

Replace approx 34' gutter & down spouts. Install Rhino gutter guard to all house gutter - replace one picture window. Very well done - again. Southwest did a wonderful job - recommend them highly!

It went very smoothly. There were no delays and the workers were extremely courteous and thoughtful. The owner of the company and sales person kept close watch over the project and with what the workers were doing. Overall, they did an excellent job.

It was a very difficult installation for the installers due to location and height from th ground. Shane and Wayne worked all day on the drop down unit and were assisted the next day by Kevin. The awning went much quicker and easier. In spite of the difficulties they worked diligently and professionally to complete the installation. We are extremely pleased with the appearance and results. Our porch and upstairs bedroom are very much cooler and comfortable. Kim Favor stayed in touch from the initial measurements through the delivery and final installation. His follow up after the job completion was also much appreciated.

I contracted for this room in February 2012 and was promised a start in mid-April, weather permitting. The work was started on April 4th and finished early in May. The crew worked steadily throughout the period, missing only a few days. They were very professional, friendly and pleasant to have around. They kept everything neat and clean and left no trash or damage behind. Mr Alley supervised the job and was available when I had questions or requests. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and we love the final result.
