The estimator was not very knowledgeable about how the work would be performed or how to price the work. After a few phone calls by the estimator I was given a price. This was September. I gave the company authorization to proceed with the work. I requested a person knowledgeable about the work to walk with me through the proposed project and a two week notice before the work was to happen. After numerous messages left with their office and discussions with the lady who answers the office phone part-time it became late October with no word of when the project would happen. In late November the company owner call and said they would do the work in two warm (50 degree) days with two days' notice. I had originally been told the project would take a full week in warm weather and longer if it was cold. This was totally unacceptable to me and I expressed my dissatisfaction to the owner and he seemed not to care. I informed him I would spend my money with someone else and terminated our agreement for Salem Paving to do the work. The irony to this story is one of my neighborhood friends is a relation to the company owners and had requested that I get special treatment and an excellent project. I received neither!

When I first called (on a Tuesday), I was assured that someone would contact me by the end of that week. No one called. So, I called another paver. Finally, at the end of the second week (10 days after my call) someone called me to set up an estimate. By that time, I'd already hired another contractor and had the job completed.

Excellent project. Toni was relentless in making sure that the base and grading was done properly. Result was as close to perfect as I have seen. Hard rain that used to find its way into one of my garage doors now flows away from the house and also flows away from the RV pad. Yet the slopes are subtle enough to be unseen.

The more I look at my driveway the madder I get!

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Salem Paving. Tony Ekinci treated our project like he would for his own driveway. He was in constant contact with me about the progress, and any detail that should be addressed. They completed the work promptly and did a beautiful job. I could not be happier with our new driveway. Thanks Tony!

The work was really good. They were outstanding. Everything was wonderful. They cleaned up well. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

After about a year I had to call them back because the driveway started cracking because there wasn't enough base put underneath of it. I had to call them back again a while later to have them go over it again and Tony, the owner, came out and they fixed it the last time. A great thing about this company is that Tony stands by his work and came back out to make sure it got fixed right the last time. I think Tony is the best and he impressed me with how he stood by his work to make sure it got taken care of the right way.

The job went okay. They did an excellent job with cleaning and everything.
