Description of Work: Attitude of contractor was unprofessional; defensive (even when answering a question, much less when responding to a complaint). Service was subpar, even if it has been half the price. The paint began peeling in several places within 6 months of the job. The little places, such as edges of window facings, were unpainted. Painters broke expensive kitchenware. Windows could not be opened after job. Prescription drugs were missing after job.

Description of Work: We have two wood decks and two wood porches. They re-stained all of them in one day. Very satisfied with their work!

Description of Work: I hired Salem Painting to paint the exterior of my house based on Angie's List reviews. They totally lived up to those excellent reviews! Cory Webster, the owner, is great to work with and his crew did a fantastic job, on time, and on budget. I could not be more pleased and already plan to hire them for additional interior work.

Description of Work: They did an excellent job removing wallpaper glue from walls, applying a coat of oil based primer, panted two ceilings, protected new cabinets and cleaned up at end of job. Very considerate, each workman and accompanying supervisor evidenced clear pride of workmanship. I was very pleased.

Description of Work: Salem Painting and Services recently painted the ceiling, crown molding, and walls in a 16-18 foot high stairwell in our house.

Description of Work: Corey Webster and his men arrived Tuesday morning as scheduled at 8am (2/26/13) to paint the kitchen and bathroom. They did a great job. The kitchen walls had to be sanded and filled in a few places and in the bathroom one area kept bubbling up. They completed the job on Wednesday, but because of the problem in the bathroom , they returned on Thursday to patch an area and again on Friday to repaint that area (not their fault). Also, from the beginning they covered their walk in and work areas from the front door to the work area! Too, at the end of each day they cleaned the areas well.

Description of Work: Painting of exterior wood trim, windows, shutters and doors. Service included pressure washing surfaces plus sanding, chaulking and priming as needed. Also cleaned the fronts of the gutters and downspouts.

Description of Work: What a terrific group of professionals! Four men arrived not only on time, but even earlier than expected. I had wonderful, but dated wallpaper in my large dining room. They brought in many cloths to protect the hardwood, very carefully removed my wood blinds, and taped off everything very neatly before beginning. In no time at all they had removed all of it with no damage at all to the walls. They put a sealer on after removing all of the glue.and began painting. The only problem was that I had chosen the wrong color. While they were at lunch I bought a new color. Suprise! They handled the change very well with no complaints at all! In fact, they did such a great job I had them do a bathroom also while they were here. Cory, the owner, was right on the job checking the before & after job. I am thrilled to have found such a terrific company and would recommend them to everyone! Bravo Salem Painting!👍

Description of Work: Needed 3 bedrooms, 1 office, 1 master bathroom, hallway, stairwell, foyer and large kitchen/eat-in area painted. To include all prep, trim, ceilings and walls. Master bathroom needed more prep as walls had stubborn wallpaper that we were unable to remove. Did not request initially but added 1 more full bathroom to the list. Also had two good-sized openings that needed to be patched before they could be painted.

Description of Work: My entire house was painted inside and outside including the brick. The painters even painted wrought iron railings, other objects not attached to the house and anything else that looked like it needed painting. They came on time and immediately started work.No coffee breaks throughout the day and not a lot of chatter. They took care in moving my furniture used lots of drop cloths to prevent spills. When they finished , all the furniture was put back in place and they proceeded to vacuum the entire house. The men were very professional and very neat. The price was more than fair. I also has the exterior of both buildings repainted and some needed surface repairs done as regular maintenance. I had the full interior of another building painted as well.

Also painted a new entry door and scrapped and repainted the main entry door and sidelights. All materials were included.
