Noah Construction

Our deck design and construction went very well. The owner "overengineered" the construction for a high level of strength and stability. They used edging boards throughout to avoid having board ends on edges. The owner also worked very well with me in designing a tricky part of the deck/pergola interface and in determining the best way to combine our choice of slanted deck boards and minimizing waste. There was no argument when I realized we'd made one error in design. They just removed part of the deck and rebuilt it in the better way. The photo shows the completed deck as they continue to work putting the skirt underneath.

We were very excited! He was a nice guy, appeared knowledgeable of the work we needed. He never emailed us. After a week, I emailed him and requested the quote and an approximate timeframe for starting the project. Two days later without hearing from him, I called and left a voice mail asking for a return call. He never called or contacted us again. At the time of his visit, we would have paid any amount he quoted - we were so pleased with his demeanor and professionalism. After losing 2 weeks waiting on him, we would not have allowed him to do the work for free. What kind of business person is not responsive to his customers? ...a bad one.

We contacted Mike Vanderpool of Noah Construction at the reccommendation of our friend who works at Home Depot. I emailed Mike about our proposed plans of building a foyer closet with lighting using the excessive available space in the adjoining laundry room. I am by nature a very punctual person and when I got a reply back just moments after sending the email I knew this was my guy! He was courteous and interested in the project despite it being rather small scale. We corresponded with regard to timelines and meeting to look at the home. He arrived at our home precisely on time and after normal business hours since my wife and I also work. He spent time talking with us, measured the space, quoted a very reasonable price and never made us feel rushed. The project began the following week and knocked it out in two days in beautiful form. He left us to do the painting which we requested (to save us some money) but everything else he and his crew did to our overwhelming satisfaction. As far as we are concerned he is our go to guy for the countless projects we have yet to tackle. We have already contracted him to do the install of our laundry cabinetry, butler's pantry and my garage lighting! Until a few weeks ago I had never heard of Noah Construction or Mike Vanderpool but now that I have I couldnt be happier! ~Charles
