The job went well. Some problems with replacing the exterior door but the issues were overcome with professionalism and experience.

Jeff was a pleasure to work with and we will be contacting him for additional work around our house. He was punctual, professional and friendly. He was extremely patient as we changed our minds about products and work to be done over the course of a year, actually, and he was always willing to discuss options and gave us time to decide. He also gave suggestions on products and we ended up going with hardwood and carpet that he showed us. We are thrilled. Both flooring products are terrific and his work is high quality with strong attention to detail. Jeff was easy to get in touch with and was consistently responsive to us. We are extremely happy with his work and our new floors!

Jeff was meticulous in his workmanship. This was probably a bigger project than you would normally pick a handyman to do, but the great thing about it was that we weren't dealing with a half of a dozen sun-contractors. He did it all. If nothing else, it proved to me that he can and will tackle any project and do a great job!

Jeff was very responsive and worked to our schedule with sometimes long hours to make sure everything we needed done was complete before our painters came in. He is highly skilled and experienced so was able to give advice as to how to proceed best for future projects in terms of cost and quality of materials. Reasonable pricing, excellent workmanship, very professional and trustworthy.

Once the project was started we ran into some outdated electrical issues. Jeff and his partner were able to fix the unexpected issues at a fair price. We also had a lot of issues with our concrete slab being uneven. Jeff was able to fix this so that he could put in the laminate flooring evenly. We were very pleased with the end results.

We didn't even get through the quoting process without Jeff Phillips screwing that up. He seems to come and measure everything and then forgets that he did, putting the blame on the customer. Not to mention they showed up for the quote in a run down old van without any company name on it and I had to ask them several times who they were with before they got an attitude with me. I would not recommend this "Chuck in a truck" to anyone.

Very well. They did a great job and cleaned up well. With the edging work on the wall that had some of their finishing compound, we didn't have any wall paint and they said they would get the paint as it was their responsibility.

He did a very good job. He completed a new shower, put a new floor in and painted the bathroom. My bathroom now looks great.

I was very lucky to have connected with Jeff Phillips of Mighty Dad. My mother's home needed repair, and I live in another state. So Jeff took on the project and I wasn't there to see or inspect the work. A few months after the work was finished, I was in Roanoke and saw it. Really nice workmanship, good attention to detail. Price was very fair, and the inevitable extras were very reasonable. I certainly got my money's worth and more. I'd use Mighty Dad again anytime. This really was a great experience.

Jeff and his team member did an excellent job. He returned the estimate in a timely manner and showed up to perform the work when he said he would. Jeff went above and beyond the scope of the work because he saw a need. One task was to repair the fascia board to prevent squirrel entry into the attic. In addition to performing this task, he removed all the moss from our gutter, caulked the leaky gutter joints, and reattached the gutter to the fascia in places where it was loose. He didn't charge us any extra to do this work. I will definately be availing myself of Jeff's services again in the future.

WOW! That pretty much sums up everything about Jeff! His work was fantastic. The day of my wife's baby shower I noticed some leaking under the toilet only to find that the leaking had been going on for quite awhile. The sub floor had rotted and needed to be replaced. Jeff dropped everything and came right away (even though it was a Sunday) to make sure we were not going to hurt ourselves and then laid out a quick plan which took a little less than 3 days worth of work. Jeff is going to be helping us bring out business to life so there will be more reviews to come.

Mighty Dad Repair, owned and operated by Jeff Phillips, is a trustworthy local enterprise that values customer relations, honest business, efficiency, and quality work. Jeff Phillips renovated an area of vinyl and tile floor that was severely water damaged in our restaurant. We had a pressing deadline to reopen the restaurant, however, the project grew bigger and bigger as unexpected obstacles continued to arise. Despite the pressure, Phillips respected our needs and worked late nights to get the job done with no complaints, simply determination. Members of our staff contributed in the ways we could, because we were pressing the project to be finished as fast as possible, for which Phillips reduced the price as fair compensation for our efforts, which we greatly appreciated. Though the luan came unglued the day we reopened, causing air bubbles under the vinyl, Phillips promptly returned to the restaurant on a Sunday- not his normal hours, but it was our only time to be closed to repair it- and he fixed it immediately. It reinforced his flexibility to ensure customer satisfaction and his dependable communication. The new floor is beautiful and better protected from future water damage, which has enhanced both the aesthetic and functionality of this area in our restaurant. His work was excellent and above and beyond what I have received from BIG COMPANIES that charge MUCH MUCH MORE. It was nice to have wall sconces replaced after painting that were CLEANED! Haven't had that happen before. He went the extra steps to make sure the job was completed correctly. He could have easily put new vinyl over the other in the half bath and I would have never been the wiser, but he removed the old, sprayed a mildew remover and made sure there was absolutely no dampness. He took just as much care in detail to installation of appliances, painting and my Kitchen is my happy place now. When he completed his work, there was no mess left behind! I will be calling Jeff to do future work for me! For a job well done, for a good and reasonable price ... anyone must have money to burn if they don't give this man a call first.

Jeff also silicone-caulked some gaps the builder had left around ledges in my screened-in porch and around the pipes under the cabinets in my kitchen and bathroom sinks, some of which were quite extensive. He is by far the best caulker I have ever seen, and was very helpful in answering questions I had about other things around the house. In summary, Jeff was knowledgable, professional, reasonably priced, and his performance was excellent.

I can't say enough how great a job Jeff and his crew did in getting this project complete. Jeff encountered a number of different items while completing this job that required him to contact several different companies and he was able to coordinate these unforeseen repairs and continue to get the job done. Jeff was very helpful and I would definitely hire him again to do some other projects in the future.

He came out and did an estimate. It was great and he was willing to work with us but Mighty Dad will not be able to start until a couple of weeks from now and so my husband has just been slowly working along and he is finishing it up. He was very timely in getting the estimate and it was a free estimate but we just ended up doing it ourselves because he was so busy. I called on a Wednesday or something and he said that he could be out on Saturday so that was great. We might still end up using him for doing our shower but we just do not know. My husband cannot do all of this because he just does not have the time. He was upfront about saying that he would not be able to get to us until towards late July and he said that he would be flexible on the price depending on what my husband can do.

I was not able to use Mighty Dad because my father was in town and helped me to do the work that I needed.

I contacted Jeff via Angie's List due to a horrible experience w/ another contractor. He responded quickly to my request and gave me a quote for everything I wanted completed/repaired. He showed up on time and volunteered to stay late to get as much accomplished as possible. Project #1: He installed a new bathroom vanity and faucet, recessed mirror, overhead light fixture, moved/combined electrical outlet, installed tile floor, floor trim and door molding, paint, shower curtain and reinstalled existing toilet. (He also installed sheetrock, mud, sanded it and painted everything I asked him to paint. ) Project #2: Installed 2x closet storage/hanging shelving. This was an additional project I asked Jeff to do while he was working on the bathroom project. He gave me a quote and we worked on it after the bathroom was complete. He was very flexible due to my house being a hundred years old and some things were very challenging to figure out. He proved to be very knowledgeable, resourceful, reliable and trustworthy. I am thankful that I came across Jeff and would definitely use him again.

I have used him for previous updates in the home and he did a great job then and an excellent job this time. My kitchen rocks! It is so inviting and a great room to come home to now. He offered suggestions for what products/colors would work best in the room. He was very patient and accommodating when I changed my mind. He is 100% dedicated to a job well done. I highly recommend him to everyone!

My foyer ceiling was damaged due to a burst water line in January in the extreme cold weather. Mr. Phillips was finally able to get to the work in March. The delay was due to weather problems. He was prompt when he came to give an estimate and was also prompt when he came with his helper to do the work. He had to install new ceiling drywall. It needed to be textured. He was able to match the texture to the old very well. Then the ceiling needed to be painted. During the process of removing the old drywall and installing the new there was some damage to the paint on the walls. Mr. Phillips was able to touch up those spots with paint I had left from the original painting. However, it did not touch up very well. It was necessary to purchase more paint and paint the entire foyer. This of course added $$$ as it was not part of the original estimate and took an extra day. All in all Mr. Phillips and his helper did a very nice job.

I hired him to replace my kitchen floor with vinyl flooring, replace shoe molding in the kitchen, cabinetry work, etc. He was extremely easy to work with. He worked around my schedule, always on time, always called in advance and during the job if there was a question. He even let my dogs out while he was in the home for their potty break (while I was not there). He did a wonderful job. I'm very pleased with the work he has completed and I have hired him for additional work in my kitchen (painting, wallpaper removal, installation of backsplash with tile, etc). I would highly recommend him. He does great work!

It's so hard to find a good drywall contractor and so happy that I came to Angie's List and so happy that we found Jeff. Very professional and courteous. He quickly contacted me back and scheduled the work right away and was finished within a week and a half. We just put a coat of primer on it last night and it looks great. You couldn't even tell there was a contractor there after he left, paid special attention to the clean up. He is already ordering our vinyl flooring to install on Monday. We will definitely be using him again and will recommend him to our friends and family.
