David A, Virginia Beach homeowner Chris Yi, and the folks from JES completed my crawl space encapsulation and de-humidifying. The way they continued to work with me from initial evaluation to final inspection was exceptional. Due to construction and bad weather, the job required more flexibility on their part than initially planned. The professionalism and attitude they displayed throughout the entire time allows me to give them my highest recommendation. If you plan to keep your home, a true value for the price.

The crew (Rattana San, Jorge Gutierrez, and Mike Price) arrived as scheduled, calling 30 minutes before arrival. The crawl space encapsulation was installed very nicely. Due to heavy rain, the project took longer than estimated, but the crew came back on Saturday to make up the time. The only minor issue I had, was that the vents for the intake and return air were not cut square. (the vents were installed by a different crew) I would recommend JES for addressing crawl space issues

Completed project on time

I had the pleasure of meeting the professional staff sent to my home 3/20/19, to complete a crawl space encapsulation. JES sent a team of 4, 2 - Foreman; Casey Foster and Jose Lopez, along with Edwardo Garcia and Maylo Noe Reyes. The team worked well together, all were knowledgeable and performed a thorough and professional job. The job was completed expeditiously. The future of our home is looking healthier and the air feels cleaner since the encapsulation. Would definitely recommend not only JES but this TEAM OF FOUR!

The crew took 7 work days to complete a project originally scheduled to take 4 work days. When done, there were numerous locations throughout the crawlspace that were not sealed with large gaps in the vapor barrier and uncaulked/unsealed holes in the walls/insulation. There were also two leaking pipes in my crawlspace they knew about because they left paper towels beneath them but never told us about the leaks. The leaks were not present when we performed a pre-work inspection. JES had their own plumbing company, A-1 Plumbing, return to repair them and A-1 did a shoddy job as well. Additionally, the JES-installed dehumidifier was found to be leaking in the crawlspace, creating a pool of water within hours after it was put into service. Of course, JES was long gone... we found it only by chance and turned the unit off and called JES. They returned, *fixed* it and left. It again was leaking so we called them a second time. This time a supervisor showed up and said it wasn't installed correctly and fixed that. JES people across the board were all very professional but their workmanship was terrible.

On the initial consultation, Michael Burgess took his time, not only with the inspection itself but in educating me about all of the issues and possible solutions. He worked with me to get the most for my money. Mike also stopped by during the construction process to make sure things were being taken care of properly. I felt like he cared about my house as much as I did. Mike made this process much less scary. Jose Rodriguez, the foreman, Francisco, and Joseph were here for five days of really hard work. There was a ton of cleanup to be done in my crawl space, the joists needed to be replaced and the house needed to be lifted as the floors were sagging. Jose s team was always on time, communicated with me about what work was being done and when. They were even nice about leaving the area for a while so I could let my dogs out in the yard each day. Overall, I am thoroughly pleased with JES.

Jack Hill was very helpful and very knowledgeable. He was able to discuss options with me and we made the best decision for my project. I would request Jack Hill again to come to my home for projects.

The initial work of raising our foundation was July 2018, and they did an excellent job. This most recent work today was for them to return for a large area of dirt settlement. Tyler English arrived and worked real hard in replacing the settled dirt with 30 bags of dirt, making two trips with his truck and tamping it down. He made sure the grounds were as he found it. Before that, I should write, he measured the level of the foundation and all was in alignment. Really good job Tyler - thank you.

These five stars are more specifically aimed towards the excellent emergency carpentry work of Robert F. and Mark G. Not only did these two men find problems that were overseen, they went out of their way to resolve them so that the foundation and sub-floor was secure. Courteous, neat and knowledgeable, they thoroughly explained the work needed while they performed a last-minute job. Oh, did I mention that they fought through holiday traffic on the Saturday 3 days before Christmas? Our hope is that they can return before the completion of this job to ensure that everything is done and done correctly. Well done Robert & Mark! Thanks!

Chris Green, Sherwarren Fleming, Chaunye Smith and Bobby Scott were an excellent team. They knew what they were doing and explained every step to us. They worked hard each day, and each person knew their respective role. Chris listened to our specific needs and adapted the work plan to meet our concerns with the water management in our basement. The work was finished on time and the crew cleaned up wonderfully.

Excellent work

Very satisfied with the work done by JES on waterproofing and cleaning out our crawl space. Everything was done when promised and in a timely manner. The crew, Alex Wilson, Will Draper, Mike Condello and Kevin Murry, were customer-focused and left the area better than when they arrived. We are already seeing the benefits from the work they did -- less moisture/humidity in the house and the room that stayed at 63 degrees was up to 68 degrees after the first night.

The entire JES operation is class act. From the quote, to contracting, to the installation - everything was smooth and professional. The installation foreman (Jessie) was great, and his crew Kenian, Alex, and Will were hard workers. They were all friendly, and everything was completed at or above expectations with no issues. I've hired JES twice. You might find cheaper contractors for foundation work, but you won't find better!

Had small cracks in corner of my dining room. JS came out in early 2015. Then in December 2017 crack got bigger, called Jess, they came out, made things worse. Could no longer close exterior door or open windows, those were not problems prior to Jess doing work, and was told by Eric they would no longer be doing warranty work. Also tried to force me to sign another contract. Would not recommend them at all. Check other references. I wish I had. I'm getting no answer from Mr. Waltz which I've left several messages. All I ask for is to fix my house which is what I paid them for.

From the estimate to job completion, we were kept fully informed of what the work would consist of and any risks to what was proposed. the two concrete lifter workers, Kade Monell and Jordan Cook, did an excellent job of making sure that if anything they were doing might not be perfect, they would call me in to be sure I approved of how they intended to proceed. The work exceeded my expectations.

JES does quality work and stands behind their products. I found this company to be forthright, honest, courteous, productive, and extremely competent. At each point of the process, they took the time to explain the procedures thoroughly and apprise me of updates to the their work. After all the work was done, they did an exceptional job of cleaning up the work space. JR Walker, in particular, is a standout employee of JES. He is kind, caring, informed, patient, and skilled. JR stayed on top of the work being done, spent lots of time making sure that I understood exactly what was being done to my basement and why. He did an amazing job of following through at every step to keep me informed and to ensure that everything was being done to perfection. JES and JR are truly represent not only the best in reliability but in integrity. I would without hesitation recommend JES hands-down as THE company to go with for any basement work that needs to be done.

This company saved me thousands of dollars and did a fantastic job re-leveling my pool deck! It took quite some time to get on their schedule, but it was more than worth the wait.

Work will not be done for another 2 Months. Have to hire electrician to put in dedicated circuits for sump pumps and plumber to move the laundry sink.

I encountered some minor issues which were quickly and efficiently taken care of by Karen Shackley, Joe Campbell, Carpenter Team of Elvis and Melvin, Todd Simmons, and the Manager in Manassas Brad Hibbird. Job well done, TEAM JES.
