+ 1 moreWhen I've had an emergency, Mr. Driver has made himself available all days of the week and all hours of the day. His work is always highly professional and well done. I recommend him and his team most highly. We are fortunate to have his service in our community.
Description of Work: Mr. Driver has done multiple repairs at my home from toilet fixes, garbage disposal replacement, to heat pump repair.

Description of Work: We called Don Driver to repair our garbage disposal. He was on-time, very capable and got the job done. On the way out, he noticed our a/c unit was shaking and unbalanced. He balanced it for us at no cost. We have since used him to fix a couple more things.

+ 1 moreI have used Don Driver multiple times for over 25 years. First, when I had a condo at Timberline (the condo management company used him as well), and then when I bought a 70-year-old house in South Roanoke. Don is the kind of person you can leave alone in your house and ask him to lock up when he leaves. You can rest assured that he will not charge you for something you don't need. He is not the cheapest, but he charges a fair price and can be trusted to fix only what is broken. He explains everything he is doing. He cleans up after every job. The three electrical jobs had been on my list for some time. They were minor and went as planned, except that I didn't actually have a problem in the porch light, so that was a nice surprise. The HVAC job was a relief - saved me a ton of money for repairs that were not needed and gave me an assurance that things are working well.
Description of Work: Electrical: Don and his assistant Luke checked a porch light which had been blinking on and off every now and then and determined that the connections were fine; the dusk-to-dawn sensor was the problem. I was concerned that there was a short in the wiring but learned that was not the case. The sensor still works, so I did not have it replaced (you can get those at Lowe's and they are easy to replace yourself). Electrical: Don replaced a light switch that had broken. Electrical: Luke installed a new light fixture in the basement. HVAC: I have 3 heat pumps in my house: upstairs and downstairs in the original house and one in the newer addition. The upstairs unit was functioning o.k., but was not cooling as well as it had been. I saw the Blue RIdge Heating and Air ad for a tuneup for $39.99 and called them. They came and gave me an incredible list of things that needed to be done. Since the cost was so high, I called Don to have him look at it (should have just called him in the first place! But $40 sounded good!). As it turned out, the BRH&A quote was full of things that didn't exist or didn't need to be done. Don and Luke cleaned the coils on two of the inside units and all 3 of the outside units and added regrigerant to one unit.
