'Honesty and integrity are not dead. I had a massive leak due to a broken pipe behind a sink on my in my basement I really just don't use. Instead of jamming me up for a bunch of costly repairs I did not need he showed me a valve to cut flow to the sink and it totally fixed the problem. On top of all of that everyone was so pleasant and professional, from the young lady who answers the phone to the plumbers who were so good with my dog any my kids. I know we all come to Angie's list because at times we can feel vulnerable when we need a major home repair. I mean who want's to be ripped-off?!? If you are in a tough spot Classic should be your 1st call.

They were high on the price charged. But I guess you get what you pay for. They were very professional and did the job quickly and accurately. And the job was done for the quoted price.I would use them again in an emergency like this. If it wasn't an emergency shopping around would be a lot cheaper. My only complaint is that they still charged the fee for a price given even though I used their services. My past experiences have always been if you use the company for the job they don't charge you for coming out and giving you a price quote.

Very professional, courteous, and punctual. I received partial credit for the repair of day 1 that was applied to repair on day 2. I am very pleased with the overall service. I will definitely use them again and refer them to others.

They were very friendly and explained to me what the problem was and how they fixed it. They were able to come within a short period of time after I called them.

Did a great job, checked all pipes with a camera for roots and other blockages, found none so worked their way back to the commodes. Prior owner installed wrong size s bends. Bought two new which they installed. Great guys, very informative and worked within my tight budget. No problems since the work has been completed

Things went well. John arrived on the day and time as promised, reviewed the work, presented an estimate, returned on the agreed on date to do the work. Everything was completed to my satisfaction.

Answered the phone at 8PM when we called with a stopped up main sewer line. Explained clearly that there was a charge of $59.00 just to show up in addition to any other labor charges. After reading other reviews here, we decided to give them a shot. They arrived the next morning, close to the estimated time we were given. They price given to snake the drain was $488. No guarantees, pay for the attempt, regardless if successful or not. We opted to pay the $59.00 fee and continue our search for service performed with a guarantee and at a reasonable price. I would not recommend their overpriced services.

I called them Monday afternoon. I was told they would come Tuesday afternoon. But I received a call Tues. morning saying there had been a cancellation and they could come earlier. Dave and a helper arrived and gave me an assessment. Ideally a larger tank would have served my household better. But there was not enough room to fit that in--at least not without extensive remodeling. Besides, the larger tank would have cost me another $800. So I opted to stay with the size I had. My current heater was well-made, but over 30 years old and full of sludge or sediment. After they had removed the tank they showed me the water damage and mold that had been growing. It was Dave who recommended the water damage company who came that day. Because their task would be time-consuming, the water heater would not be replaced until the next day. I was without any water for am few hours, but had to wait until the new heater was installed before I could access hot water. I was pleased that it all was taken care of in such a timely fashion. The workers were polite, considerate, and thorough. The cost was rather high, I thought. But I felt good that the job was done right.

We received a coupon from this company for service to our main drain line. The men worked very hard and both my husband and myself were very impressed. They had to approach the line from inside the house to the road AND from the road to the house. They have very good equipment to perform the clean-out. Of course they wanted us to have additional work done by them..but we didn't think it was necessary. We would use them again..

Any good plumber could tell you that making the drain were not going to fix our problem. What we needed was someone to open up the trap and get the item out that had fallen in. So, he basically wasted my money.

Work was done as quoted without problem. My only complaint: I discovered two days after they finished that they had covered my water meter with more than a foot of mud. I shoveled it out myself and did not call them, so they had no chance to correct this. Although, they should have known better. No change to ratings for this.

The overall experience was positive. If I had decided to go ahead with the extensive work, I would have been comfortable using them.

I stopped using them because they charge $7.95 just to be enrolled in their program. They were prompt but I will not use them again.

The technician arrived on time and took a look at the situation. I believed that the pipe leading to our septic tank was clogged and that was the reason it was backing up in my garage. He took a look at it and asked me to run water in the shower and flush the toilets. When I did the water began to rise in the garage. He then asked me when the last time I had my septic system emptied and I said that we lived here 6yrs and have never had it done. He then recommended that I contact a sewer service and have them drain the tank to make sure it wasn't the issue then if the problem persisted he would come back out and clear the drain. He said that he could clean the drain but if that wasn't the problem then I would have spent money for nothing and he said that would not be right. He charged me the $59 for the service call and gave me seven days to get the tank cleaned and said that if the tank wasn't the issue and he had to come back out that he would waive the fee for the return visit. I was extremely pleased with the service and will definitely use them in the future.

They do a good job. We use them all the time. They are professional. We spent $600 for the removal and installation. They are really good. We would continue to use them in the future.

I was not home when they came, but my husband said they came in the morning around 8-8:30. When I got home in the early afternoon they were finishing up.

I contacted Classic Plumbing when we were discussing remodeling our basement. They were quick to reply, sent out a service member who discussed the project with me, and provided a realiistic and reasonable bid. They followed up with me concerning the bid and unfortunately we were not able to proceed at that time. When I am able to go forth with the project, Classic Pumbing wil be the company I will contract with.

We’ve been a member of their service plan for over a year now. We had bought the toilet commode from them sometime ago. It never has been repaired and they kept saying that it was our fault that we weren’t using the right standard paper and so on. It was very insulting and we were not pleased with that at all. We felt that it was a problem with the commode which still is acting up, but we are not intending to call them anymore. We canceled the services and they asked us to write a note which my wife did. All she said was that we were very unsatisfied. We expressed our concern and they did not seem to take care of that. Their price was far too much. The service sometimes has been okay. At times they used to come soon. They used to be here the same day because it was always an emergency. They were not professional because they were talking about our personal toilet habits, making insulting comments and not using good language. We would not hire them under any circumstances.

Having never needed the services of a plumber before, I relied on Angie's list for recommendations in my area. The first business listed was Classic Plumbing Solutions. I liked that their license numbers were listed on their Angie's List listing and felt even more confident in my choice when I saw that the company has an A+ BBB rating and has been in business for over 30 years. You have to be doing something right to last that long! The business's website was informative and they even offered several coupons, which sweetened the deal. From the moment I contacted the company, I was impressed with their professionalism and the tiny details that told me they valued my business. From calling to let me know they were on their way to my house, to taking the time to explain the work that needed to be done, to taking care of getting the city permit and working with the city inspector to make sure I could be home when he came, to calling me several days after the installation to make sure I was satisfied with the service, these guys were on top of their game. The best part? Every year on the anniversary of the installation, the company will send someone out to drain the tank and do a preventive maintenance check...for free. Highly recommended!

I had a drain clogged and we could not use water. I saw the company was listed on Angies list. I noticed they had A's in their ratings, but did not notice (at the time) that some of the ratings for their prices were a B. I called Friday evening to see if they had any openings for Saturday. I was told they did have an opening in the morning. She explained the plumber would tell us the cost of the work beforehand. That's fine, I expect that. But, on top of the price for the labor, there would be an additional cost of $109.00 JUST FOR COMING OUT ON A SATURDAY! In other words, if they were to charge me say, $100.00 for the labor, there would also be an additional fee of $109.00 for coming out on a Saturday. Have my drain cleared for $209.00. Whoo Hoo! I then asked about availability during the week. I was told she could not have a plumber out here until Wednesday. AND, there would still be a fee of $59.00 attached to the labor just for them doing the work. I called back again and clarified this. So, for an extra $50.00 I could get an appointment the next day. But if I wait, I would only have to pay only an xtra $59.00. I called back and said thank you but no. She was very nice. She explained that the "xtra fee" ensures me that the employee is a professional. So, I should pay xtra for a professional, who should already be a professional? $109.00 xtra ensures me that the employee will be able to do his job correctly? I was also told that they could not warranty a drain cleaning. That was not comforting to know that if a week later the problem was still there I would not have a guarantee. After the phone call I went and looked at the ratings again and "duh" there it was. Some others were not as happy about the prices either. I think someone needs to tell others about this xtra fee as they search Angies list so they know ahead of time what to expect. I am not questioning the companies work quality in any way. I am willing to pay for the work, but charge me xtra just for doing the work the right way? That's not right. This seems unethical. How blessed are we to have their presence in our home!! I wrote this because we need to look out for each other and in my opinion there should be no fee just for doing the work. That is why they call it a labor fee and plumbers have hourly rates! . It wasn't as if it was an emergency call at 2 in the morning. Many companies work routinely on Saturday. And to charge an extra fee because he has a colgate smile and is not going to drink on the job does not justify this xtra fee. Companies used to fire people who were incompetent. Now we pay for them to be competent? Oh sure there is a discount if the work is $150.00.. Had they done the work on a Saturday and IF the work was $150.00, they would have given me $15.00 off. Let's see, they would take 10% off of the $109.00 for the "professional employee". What discount is there when there with this xtra fee attached? I don't get it.

The technician was very thorough in giving me all my options to replace my defective garbage disposal. He ended up drink to a plumbing supply store to replace my disposal with a non stocked brand. This choice was the best for my situation. He also let me know how I could replace my bathroom fixtures on my own without going through ultra expensive replacement costs through his company. For what was done it seemed a little more expensive than I was used to but he saved me a lot more through his honest evaluation and recommendations. I will use them again in the future.
