It is absolutely awful. I'm in a big dispute with them right now. They did not finish the job. I am calling the better business bureau on them. I hired them because I knew people who had had good service from them. I was frustrated that I couldn't find anyone on Angie's List in my area. The first time they did not finish, and they came to finish on the 23'rd of December. I had ordered Brazillian cherry floors for my living room, foyer, stairs, hallway, and dining room. They came out to finish and they had brought the stairs and what they had brought me was a different kind of wood and it was stained ten shades darker. I refused it and they said that's unfortunate because we don't make Brazzillian cherry stairs and no one else does. I know this is completely a lie. I still don't have my stairs and I talked to a manager and they said that they were able to find some, but that unfartunately it was going to cost me this much more. I said no that is not what my contract says. They are very dis honest. When they came to give me the quote I was not told that they would use a different wood on my staris. The lady thereis awful to deal with. I am going to get legal advice about the contract I have with them. They want to charge me extra other than the contract price. They offered to split it, but I said no because that is wrong. I am really sorry that I used them because they did not finish. What they had did was very good craftsmanship.
Description of Work: On 12/06/2011 Luna salesperson, Ed Horvath came to my home to show mee hardwood flooring options. I ordered solid Brazillian cherry for my foyer, staircase, LR, DR and hallways leading back to the bedrooms. The agreed price was $7800.00 as per our contract. Installation date was to be 12/13/2011. They called me and told me that the stairs had to be custom made and would not be ready at that time, but they would come out and begin the project on the 13th and finish the stairs on 12/23/2011. The installers come on 12/13/2011 and completed the LR, DR and hallway after the wood had been delivered a few days beforehand. When the wood was delivered to my homw, they showed me the wood and I agreed it was what I had ordered (minus the stairs which were being made). They floors were and are beautiful. The installers worked quickly and were professional. I received a phonecall from the salesperson, Ed Horvath on install day 12/23/2011. He told to keep in mind that the stairs would be oak and appeared mush darked than the Brazillian cherry but that the cherry would darken uip over time. I was very puzzled about this phonecall and was worried what they would bring me. A couple hours later, the installers arrived. They showed me what the stairs looked like and they were indeed oak and stained very dark. It looked ridiculous with the Brazillian cherry floors. I was very disappoionted to say the least and called Luna. I spoke with a man that told me that they never install Brazillian cherry stairs and risers because they don't make it. He went on to say that they don't make it because oak is a much harder wood than the cherry and holds up better. I refused the stairs and was told that production manager, Kate was in a meeting and would call me back. The installers finished installing the Brazillian cherry foyer and the molding that still had not been done upstairs. Again, they did a great job and put all my furniture back. Since that time, I have spoken with Kate several times and so has my father. She did some research and found Brazillian cherry stairs and risers, but is insistant that for them to install this, it will cost me more money because the stairs are more expensive than oak. The last offer from her was for me to split the difference in the added cost of these stairs and risers. We seem to be at a stand still at this point, as this is unacceptable to me. I want what I ordered at the price agreed upon as per our contract. It is unacceptable to agree on a different wood and different color for a staircase between my Brazillian cherry fiyer and living room.

Response from Luna Carpet
She selected and purchased a Brazilian Cherry solid hardwood floor with complimentary stained solid oak treads and risers for installation on her staircase from Luna on December 6, 2011. The flooring materials were dropped at her home for acclimation on December 10, 2011 with installation of the flooring commencing on December 13, 2011. The treads and risers are custom made and were scheduled for a later installation on December 22, 2011. The flooring installation started on December 13, 2011 and was completed to her satisfaction. The installers arrived on December 22, 2011 to install the staircase and she questioned the color of the product and the species of wood for stair installation as it appeared several shades darker than the actual flooring product and is made from solid oak hardwood. It was explained to her that the Brazilian cherry flooring is an exotic hardwood that is photo sensitive and the color will get darker and deepen to rich dark red over time. The solid oak materials used for stairs are stained to match the deeper, richer shadings that will appear in the flooring with its exposure to use and sunlight. She was unhappy that the stair materials were not the same Brazilian cherry wood species. Luna does not offer its customers solid hardwood stair treads and risers in anything other than oak that is stained to compliment the flooring selections we offer. We understand that she is upset that there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the color species of wood that was to be used for the stair installation. She was not charged, nor did she pay for exotic hardwood treads and risers for her staircase. This is not a product that Luna carries or offers to their customers. In an effort to resolve her concerns and ensure she is a happy customer, a manager contacted vendors for availability and pricing of the Brazilian cherry stair materials. To show her that we value her opinion of us even more than her business, we have offered the following options to her: installation of the custom oak stair materials and install them for an additional amount of $300.00. We look forward to an amicable resolution of her concerns.
