The service they provided and our experience were outstanding. They came on time, gave us a clear estimate of the cost, and delivered outstanding service. I would highly recommend them and would use them again any time.

He was great. He goes the extra to make sure the customer is satisfied.

I ended up writing in the space above. Sorry for any inconvenience...needless to say, now this "older woman" thinks the tradition my mother started when she insisted on going to Eways, has proven to be a good one. I am glad the tradition of the Eways being in oriental rug sales and service continues...from Frank, Sr. with/to Frank, Jr. and all the staff! I will always insist that I go to Eways...and if I take good care of these rugs, my children may "insist", also!

Very professional craftsmen. Ours was a relatively small job but we, and our area rugs, were treated with the utmost care and respect. Mr. Eways even translated some figures woven into our Persian rug to determine when and where it was woven - we did not even know we had an antique. They delivered the rugs to my mothersapartment and installed them with a special safety backing that we had not even thought to ask for. I am a big fan of work done well, with pride, and for an extremely reasonable price.

They were amazing all the way. I called and spoke to the owner who is in his 80s, had arranged to go take the rug there and his son called me back who is now running it and said you know where do you live I can come pick it up anyway it turns out he was about 15 minutes from me and so my husband and I dropped it off on our way and he said I got the van it is in my driveway I will take into the shop Saturday morning you can just bring it by just very accommodating on both ends when the rug was finished actually brought it to his house and we went and picked it up. Once they returned it and we rolled it out and my husband and I looked at it and we noticed a little white thread coming up from the bottom and I thought oh my goodness what happened and it is just my ignorance and I didn't think that I had done anything to the rug, but I thought we need to call and ask them may be this is kind of lifted some fibers in the cleaning process so we called them and they said oh my goodness our reputation is so important to us and we want to come out right now. They came out within an hour I think both the father and the son and they came out and they explained during one rugs are made bla bla bla kind of went through that and said this little thread that are usually snips but these rugs evidently worn when we cleaned them it kind of made him come up to the surface so that we could actually see him now so they took it back to their shop brought it back the next day they had snipped all over and they brought me a rug pad and just anything if you ever need anything we are here for you. I don't think I have had a customer service experience ever like I had with them.

Rug was cleaned thoroughly. Looked almost new when we got it back. They clean these rugs the "old fashioned way," no mass production. Each rug is cleaned using "old school" methods that are advertised as dating back many years. Enterprise has remained in the family for all those years. Excellent work, exellent customer service.

The two gentlemen named Frank Eways, father and son, answered my questions over the phone, explained that I would save money if I brought the rugs to them myself, helped me move the rugs from my car, explained the costs of replacing or trimming the fringe, and told me that the son travelled regularly to Charlottesville, where I live, and would be happy to deliver the rugs to me at no cost. Both rugs were beautifully cleaned. I could not be more pleased. A classy operation.

As stated above, everything went extremely well from the first phone call.

When I dropped off the two smaller rugs at their business, they were look at and I was given and estimate for the cost of the work. I then asked them about the much larger oriental rug and was given an estimate for the cleaning of that rug and the cost for them to come got the rug, move the furniture, and then return the rug when it was finished. The timetable they gave me was accurate and the cost was what they had estimated.,

They were excellent. They picked up the rugs within 2 days of calling, did the work quickly, and delivered and laid them back down for us. They moved all furniture necessary, trimmed the pads, etc... The rugs look great after their cleaning, the colors vibrant again.

New to the area, wanted rugs cleaned before rolling out in new house. Consulted Angie's List, and Frank S. Eways was far and away the best prospect. Was delighted when they said they could take them right away. Everyone there was knowledgeable, professional, and personable. They showed the same care for our old family room rug (which has had various bodily fluids from babies, cats, and dogs) as they did for my grandmother's fine old Persian. The family room rug was worth cleaning, but not repairing (reweaving) and they patched it so well that you really need to look carefully to see the patch. One small rug of my grandmother's that both my parents and I have used for a doormat, they cleaned 3 times, in order to get it absolutely clean. Their care and attention to detail is much appreciated, and I heartily recommend them.

I was shocked to discover, by walking on wet carpet -- after the fact and probably when we were away and had used a housesitter -- that our immaculately well-behaved dog had peed on our beautiful Persian rug, and probably not just once. (Never mind that I now suspect that he peed on my Celtic harp, too!) With much difficulty, we sixty-somethings got our rug up and then consulted Angie's List to see who might help us fix this. Frank S. Eways was the clear front-runner in my Angie's List search, and so I called them. Mr. Eways couldn't have been more gracious over the phone, even offering to help me achieve the lower rate if I brought the rug to him in a convenient rendez-vous point in Charlottesville (where I work) instead of driving up to Ruckersville. I don't work in the consumer business, but if I did I would write that we should all head up to Frank Eways (& Son) to see how it's done. Mr. Eways gave me a precise, immediate, and transparent estimate of what it would cost to clean and patch my rug (not reweave its holes, as it wasn't in good enough condition for that), as well as to replace the underpadding. I immediately decided that despite how degraded my rug had become, I could not replace it for what Eways would charge me to bring it back to beautiful and useful. Imagine my surprise today, therefore, when I drove up to Ruckersville to pick up my rug and found a sparkling, patched -- and half-refringed rug, which I had not even asked for -- elaborately spread out before me! They had gone beyond the contract I had signed to improve my rug. Despite my lame attempts to pay extra for this extraordinarily time-consuming art/service of refringing, they declined. This is a company you want to patronize. They will treat you well, and make you feel like royalty when you are there.

I called Frank S Eways Oriental Rugs and Gallery on 5/31/2011. Frank S. Eways, Jr gave me an estimate for my five rugs(2 large and 3 small) and gave me a $40.00 dollar discount if I would bring the rugs to them. He also agreed to throw in pads for my smaller rugs free of charge if I paid for the pads of the larger rugs. I was waiting for a call from another company for an estimate but after my call to Eways I was ready to take my rugs there. I took them that same day. Frank was very hospitable and assured me the rugs would be taken care of with great respect. I was introduced to Frank Sr. and Charles who was an employee there. They unloaded the rugs promptly and I was on my way home. When I got the call that my rugs were done. I headed to Ruckersville in my 72 Chevy pick up to bring my rugs home. Unfortunately, my truck overheated and my radiator was overflowing in their parking lot. They brought out towels so the anti-freeze would not come in contact with any animals that might wander by. I called AAA to come tow me to a repair shop in Madison, which is about 12 miles from the store. When Frank Sr. heard what was going on he offered to follow the tow truck to Madison( said he had some business to do there anyway) and then loaded up my rugs in his personal truck. While waiting for the tow they offered me coffee and I talked to Charles who was repairing a rug for about an hour. After another 30 mins. passed Frank Jr.offered to get me lunch. I had eaten earlier and said no, but Frank Jr. brought me lunch anyway. He would not let me pay for it. We sat down and had sandwiches and ginger ale. It felt like I was at a friend's house having lunch. Just as we finished eating the tow truck pulled in. Frank Sr. and I followed the truck to the repair shop and then he took me home and helped me carry in the rugs. I have made new friends for life. They were so kind and wanted to make sure I got home safely with my rugs. Never in my life have I been treated with such respect by someone who did not know me very well. Thank you guys, you're the best. OH! By the way. The rugs were beautifully cleaned and look great. So please take your rugs there to get them cleaned. Frank is a super nice guy who knows the value of good customer service. I have already recommended him to many friends and will continue to do so.
