+ -1 moreI was disappointed in the results - they cut the grass so high, in many areas it didn't even look cut at all. This last week, I had to call the main office because I had thought they had missed a section of the yard - but when they returned they said they didn't - that was just the way it was supposed to look (scraggly?) and that since it was a small section of yard (less than 50 sq feet) they only use a weed whacker - but if I wanted it to look better they could use a push mower for more money ?!?
Description of Work: I contracted them for a weekly mowing

+ 0 moreThey responded quickly to my request and performed the contracted tasks. Have used D and D for over 15 years while at this house and have relied on them frequently to help me out. They maintain my lawn by cutting the grass, raking leaves in the fall, my yearly trimming of the bushes etc. They also have responded to fallen trees and large limbs to cut them up in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend them to anyone who might need their services.
Description of Work: D & D was contracted to redirect water away from my basement door by doing two things: First by trenching from near the door where water collects and to trench allowing the water to flow away from the door. Second, to create a berm to help keep the water flow coming down the hill from turning the corner towards the basement door.

+ -1 moreDand D has a lot of people working for them, as they do all of Forest Lakes, which is why we tried them. They are relatively inexpensive. They are rather quick with mowing and don't do the neatest job. One time we had them mulch and do the edging, but I think they used a machine, and a lot of grass clumps ended up in the bed. They were covered with mulch, but later, I had grass clumps growing in my beds and was very annoyed to have to dig them out, as they took root.

+ 1 moreSept 28 called Dand D. Left message after hours. Sept 29th, Helen returned call, saying John would be by to give an estimate, leaving information in mail box. Waited 5 days, no paper work in box. Neighbor called saying he found paper in his mail box. Estimate was dated 10-01-2012. We decided to wait until 2013 to do the work needed.
Description of Work: Did not use.

+ -1 moreI have used them for 20 years and they are great. They are very reliable and very good. They are a little pricey but it is not any worse than anyone else, I would say average. Their quality is excellent. They are very responsive.
Description of Work: I use D & D LAWN CARE. They do a lot of different services. They mow weekly and they will do just about anything you want them to do.

Description of Work: D & D has done my lawn fertilization and treatment for about three years now. For years I had watched them do the care for the common areas of Forest Lakes and I realized that these common areas looked much better than my lawn. Not the case any more! They are always prompt and responsive with any phone calls. The folks that do the work are very courteous and friendly, being careful to not harm other plants in lawn. They are also active in the community, supporting sports teams, etc. I highly recommend them.

+ -1 moreOverall the job completed was done very well. My difficulty was getting them here to start the job once the estimate was approved. Once they were here the did an excellent job.
Description of Work: Total yard renovation. Dug up the old grass and laid down compost and reseeded yard. Also put in a walk way with stones and plants to the side of the house. Getting them nailed down as to when to start the job was difficult, however, once they started the job was done very well in a fairly short period of time a few days. Through the years (14) I have used their services to cut grass, mulch, rake up leaves, etc and they are always punctual and do a great job.
