Culligan Water Conditioning of Ruckersville VA

Description of Work: We originally purchased a water softner with Culligan in 2002. We had nothing but problems with it. The unit was (we replaced it) a piece of crap. They had to come out multiple times because it broke down. Then they had the nerve to charge us because their units were so poor and tried to upsell us additional filters to deal with the problem that their expensive filter couldn't deal with. Everything about this company is a disaster, from the person on the phone, to the managers to the technicians. This is the WORST company I have ever had the misfortune of doing business with. If there was a letter grade below F, they would deserve it. DO NOT do business with them. Hopefully they will be out of business soon. One could only hope!

Description of Work: I could not turn the knob on the water softener tank and was told by the Ruckersville Culligan store that I needed a new knob and seal pack. This business had installed the original tank. The woman running the office looked up by sales contract and knew what model and item # I required in order to fix the tank and she said she would order it and it would come the next week. She said they had knobs in stock. She said it would come in the week of August 7 and I contacted my plumber. I went to the Ruckersville store. She handed me a seal pack and said she had no knob but that the owner would bring a "used" one. I asked for the bill and a receipt which she refused. I did not realize at the time that she had intentionally given me the wrong seal pack. It did not fit my model and she knew it. My plumber came and could not fix the water softener (a very simple operation). I had to pay the plumber and will have to buy a new water softener. During this debacle I called the home office of Culligan and was treated with appalling rudeness. I have never been treated by a company in this manner. I do not recommend it to anyone.
