I contracted with Brown for the past year for routine pest control (mainly spraying every few months for black widow spiders). The technicians are nice, and I saw some improvement from their services. Their flexibility with the contracting was great (i.e., no services required over the cold winter months). But the company is not well managed. The technician missed my last appointment, and I did not receive so much as a heads-up phone call to let me know. The company then called several weeks later and didn't even apologize for the missed appointment. The scheduling representative was not able to book a new time unless the technician was already scheduled to be in my area on that day, which made re-booking nearly impossible. The scheduling rep promised to check with the technician about additional dates and call me back, but that also never happened. Too much frustration to deal with these guys. I'm going to try someone new.

Brown Exterminators had to come back multiple times until the problem was solved, We couldn't have asked for better service. It demanded extra work which they completed without an extra charge. We were very satisfied with their professionalism and promptness and would recommend them highly.

Excellent. They were very thorough and knowledgeable. They vacuumed and cleaned out the area they had nested in as well as sealing up the entrance they were using as well as another opening they felt they may start using. It did have to be after dark when the bats had left and took them about 4 hours. Highly recommend

They came out after dark as scheduled and did an excellent job of cleaning the paneling and vacuuming out all the guano. Then they sealed off the openings. They were very knowledgeable, hard working and very professional. I would highly recommend them.

They did the job. No way of knowing whether the termites are really or permanently gone. They had to dig holes in the patio/driveway/stoop. They made no attempt to make the patches match the original or to warn us about the permanent damage they were doing.

Ants are always a process to get rid of the service has just begun. Very happy so far.

The two-person crew from Brown arrived during the stated time frame, immediately conducted a quick assessment and the requested pest prevention service. In addition, the team also removed multiple aggressive wasp nests and provided tips on how to prevent and deal with any further problems from wasps or hornets. They were knowledgeable, polite, and professional and I'll definitely keep them in my address book for any future needs!

Ants are already attacking the bait and carrying it back to their home. No more intrusion into the house. On schedule arrival day after call to their office - great turnaround on a sudden problem. Technician was very knowledgeable and carefully thorough in examining possible sources of the problem. Bait and spray is designed to withstand the frequent rain we have in this area. Very reasonable cost given the treatment area. Also very honest - did not try to exaggerate problems (only ants, no termites) although I could not tell the difference.

He mentioned some other suggestions. He also suggested a treatment plan.

We felt they went above and beyond and have been very pleased with our interaction with them.

I contacted Brown Exterminating, Standardsville, VA, to set up an initial termite inspection of my home and contract for annual inspection services. The representative, George Foley, came out and provided an inspection. I paid $175 for the inspection and signed up for an annual service contract on Oct 8, 2013. This involved signing an "Agreement" for a continuous protection guarantee under which a "Guarantee" for that protection was supposed to be provided to me. First, the "Guarantee" never came. Second, the company representative told me that the company would send me a bill for the annual fee to renew my policy and do an annual inspection in 2014. However, the company seems to have simply just dropped me. They never sent a bill or contacted me to schedule a 2014 inspection. I contacted the company and left a voice mail but they did not return my phone call. I would not advise anyone to sign up with this company -- or at least the Standardsville branch of this company. They are not reliable and did not meet the basic terms of their own Agreement.

Punctual, professional, helpful - exactly as advertised

Very pleasant fellow named Ralph Martin arrived, introduced himself, and first did the inside of the house everywhere, and then did the outside, spraying the insect killing liquid. It worked for after he left, I found several dead insects.

George was great - prompt, professional. We had him treat the house twice, and would definitely use him in the future.

My experience was good. They were on time for the appointment. The technician was competent.
