George Foley of Brown's is the consummate professional. We called him after my wife discovered a small bat in our attic. We called George to arrange an appointment for a free inspection. He came at the appointed time less than 24 hours after we called him. He examined the bat and determined it was an adult small brown bat (we were concerned the bat might have been young, making infestation more likely); he then thoroughly inspected our attic and the exterior of the house to determine possible points of entry for various types of pests. George advised that I could do some things myself to minimize future problems, but told me we had no infestation problem and there was nothing for him to do. He spent at least 45 minutes with us at no charge. Personally, he was extremely pleasant and polite; professionally, it was clear to us that he really knows his business. If we do have a future pest problem, we will call George.

They did a very good jobs of getting rid of them and keeping them under control.

We have been happy customers for nearly two years and plan to stay with them for quite some time. Travis of Brown Exterminating calls every month to schedule our regular service; he shows up when he promises and calls right away if we need to reschedule due to bad weather. He is always professional and courteous; excellent customer service! We have a young daughter and, knowing this, he always knocks instead of ringing the bell because he knows his appointment time usually lines up with her nap. He doesn't have to do that, but it's just one small example of how they go the extra mile to show respect for and really take care of their customers.

We love that they have been flexible to visit monthly at the time we are available.

Had a nest of ground yellow-jackets crop up right next to the garage. Both the Misses and my daughter are allergic to stings, and I had to get it done fast. Called around 1:00pm, and the work was done by 5:00pm. These guys are great. I have them on contract for ants and spiders, and knew they'd be able to take care of my bee problem no sweat.

George was pleasant, professional and helpful. Took the time to explain the issues and how to best deal with them. Initial cost was $150 with additional monthly service plan agreed to. Punctual and professional charging a fair price for what appears to be expert service.

Provider returned on the new scheduled date, after not having the carpenter ant bait with them when they were first asked. They applied the baits and were very conscious to drill holes in the door frame carefully and discretely. They were very sensitive to our needs to protecting our animals. House was infested with carpenter ants. Only two ants were seen the week after the bait was applied and the house appears to be ant free at this time. I am satisfied with their service and will use them again if needed.

We called and told Browns that we needed another treatment for CARPENTER ANTS. (We had hired this company for the same problem a year ago and while we did see a temporary decrease in carpenter ants, we suddenly became infested with tiny ants in the house.) We called and specified CARPENTER ANTS and they agreed to send a tech to take care of our CARPENTER ANT problem on 5/26. When the tech arrived on 5/26 he did not have the products to address CARPENTER ANTS, which we were clear on as the problem when we called for service. The tech will supposedly be back next week sometime to treat our house for carpenter ants. I just hope he brings what he needs next time.

Mr. Martin returned out call promptly and made an appointment with us, which he kept punctually. He clearly explained what Brown's could do. We asked him to do this, and he kept his appointment to do so punctually. It was a pleasure to work with him as the representative of Brown's. His manner is both professional and friendly. I look forward to his monthly visits for our six-month contract. As explained above, Brown's does not fill holes in the house fabric where pests can enter, but he offered to do this as a private contractor. His charge was very low, and he seems to have done a thorough job. We are very pleased. A very satisfying experience. I recommend this company and Mr. Martin warmly.

This experience was excellent. The workers were thoughtful and considerate, efficient, thorough, timely, knowledgeable, and professional in every sense of the word. This was expensive, but necessary work. It is only a few months since completion so I cannot review its effectiveness. However, I am very satisfied with the way in which the work was done and the responsible workmen who completed the project.

I don't have anything to compare them to in terms of price or effectiveness, but our experience with them was just fine.

Called Brown for quote. Ralph arrived same day. Called Ralph next day to hire. Date set to arrive on Oct. 11 @ 8 AM. Ralph arrived @ 8 AM. Job completed by Noon.

They are attentive & do a good job.

I did like the job they did with the carpenter bees, but I had to call them back to address the yellowjacket nest they took down as well. They didn't charge me for the additional visit and did take care of the bees for me. I think they did a fair job.

They are friendly, the technicians are friendly. They are prompt, when they give you an appointment time they are there by that time. They are very thorough.

There aren’t many service providers out here so finding a good service provider can be difficult. I have cats so they put out granules, fruit fly traps, and things of that nature.

I agreed to have them come every other month until I choose to cancel

They are on time, courteous, and conscientious. I am pleased with them.

Not too well I contacted Brown's based on the good rating on Angie's List. I was contacted quickly, and when the office in Charlottesville could not come out within the week, a person from Waynesboro came. He deferred judgement on if my house could be certified termite free to his boss in Charlottesville, and an appointment for the following week was reset. no one followed up, and I received no response from 2 phone calls with promises to return the calls. I would have appreciated being told that they don't want to work on the house, it is too far, too difficult, something other than no response!

I first called a national company I've used before in another town, but they wanted an annual contract for prevention. I don't like spraying so generally or frequently and Brown was very willing to remove the nests with no other obligation. Soon after we discovered another nest and they came back promptly and at a discounted rate and exterminated that nest as well. I will certainly use them again as needed. The service person was also professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about his work. He gets an A+

I used Intrastate Pest Control, but the idea of a contract or high rates sent me comparing. I sought the advice of Angie's List and called Mr. Martin with Brown Extermingating. I had sweet ants and they were overtaking my kitchen. Mr. Martin treated my kitchen and explained why he was using his specific treatment, he was well versed in all aspects of his vocation and rid me of these menacing ants. I am hopeful that I have many opportunities to recommend Mr. Martin with Brown.

We ended up not doing the work but he came out. We talked about some things. He was a nice guy. He spent some time and did not charge us anything. He was very helpful. I will recommend him. I will use him in the future.
