If I have any request for extra work to be performed, it is done within just a few days. I can't say enough good things about this company. I look forward to many years of doing business with them.

Description of Work: I called Tuckahoe Landscaping about putting some sod in my back yard on April 11, 2013. I spoke to Sandra Slocum in their office regarding getting someone to give me a price and some information. I called Tuckahoe as I have seen their trucks in my neighborhood doing work at other homes and also found them here on Angie's List. I immediately received an email from Sandra about having Tim Tufford come out and give me a quote. On August 16th, 2013, I sent an email to follow up as I had not been contacted further regarding my request. I again received an email from Sandra Slocum indicating they were in there busy time, but she would have Tim Tufford come out and get me the information. At 4:05PM on the 17th, I received a simple email from Tim Tufford indicating that he declines to bid on my work at this time. I am disappointed that they were not interested in my work and disappointed at the lack of timely follow through. While I appreciate the directness of the email, it would have been nice to know a week sooner as I could have involved another contractor and saved everyone some time.

+ 3 moreWe contacted Tuckahoe and received an email from the administrator requesting an estimate for us from the field sales. We didn't hear anything for a week, then found a written estimate in our paperbox. The responsiveness what not what we expected. We called another lawn treatment service and they responded right away via email and phone. Someone actually came out to give us an estimate. The reason we went with Tuckahoe was due to their extensive services. It was what we were looking for in lawn treatment. Despite the so-so responsiveness in the beginning, the communication, contract, advice via email with the company since then has been acceptable. Price was better than the estimate we received from the other company as well. We have an annual contract and someone came out to start services the very next day. Recommended, but follow-up may be required on estimate.

+ 3 moreThey are very good. I think they are very reliable. They do a great job. I think they are small enough to provide personal service. They have the name of the person providing each service on their card. You know who you are calling for a particular job. The book keepers are very personable and friendly. They are big enough to do everything and small enough to not get lost in numbers. Their prices might be a little higher than some of the other companies. Once it got really hot here in Virginia and all of a sudden everybody wanted their irrigation system turned on. They were delightful to come in and do that job. They tried very hard to finish that work.
Description of Work: I use Tuckahoe Landscaping for lawn and yard work. They come weekly during summer and monthly most time of the year to do different types of things like putting fertilizers, grass feeds, snow removal, edging, mulching, and re-plowing. They also take care of my irrigation system.

+ 0 moreWe had a very positive experience. Linda Allgood was extremely professional (called back immediately after our initial inquiry, came out and did a formal estimate, super nice). The crew ended up coming a day early (and we were asked via phone if that would be ok) and were also very professional. They even politely asked if our kids were napping before starting up their leaf blowers. What we had done for the money seems like a great bargain. Great job, Tuckahoe.
Description of Work: Landscaped an area where we took a tree down, aerated and seeded our whole yard, and improved the look of our entire yard.

Description of Work: Tuckahoe Landscaping planted three trees and about five scrubs in our backyard. They also added rocks under the shrubs.

+ 0 moreThey did a very good job for the most part. I have been pretty pleased with their service. I just called them whenever I needed something done and they came right out. They were very dependable and they did a year long maintenance on my yard. They do whatever needed done and they set a price by what you wanted done.
Description of Work: They fertilized my medium sized yard, mowed and picked up the clippings.

+ -1 moreI have a medium sized yard, for one price each month they come as needed to mow. They do the extras as needed such as fertilizing, spraying chemicals to kill bugs on the lawns and trimming the hedges. They always clean up the grass clippings and keep it all looking neat.
Description of Work: I have a monthly service contract for mowing and yard work on an average size yard.
