Description of Work: We originally contracted with TJS at the end of winter 2015 to get the spotty areas of our lawn to fill out, and to get rid of the dandelions and crabgrass. I had tried with limited success to do the same for several years before contacting them. I contacted them because of their Angie's list rating. | |TJS told us that they don't have the equipment to handle the chemicals such as herbicides and fertilizers, so they got us to subcontract with the Lawn Ranger for those applications. | |TJS came once and charged us $312. The Lawn Ranger came four times and charged us a total of $210. The Lawn Ranger's last application was late fall of 2015. | |Everything seemed fine until this spring (2016), then we realized the extent of their failure. Not only has no grass regrown in the patchy areas but our lawns (front, back, and side) now sport somewhere between 10 to 20 times MORE dandelions and 2 to 5 times MORE crabgrass than we have ever had. | |If you want to raise a healthy crop of dandelions and/or crabgrass, then by all means contact these guys; otherwise I recommend that you steer clear.

+ 3 moreCalled 2-April-2015. Jason came on time and was very nice. The quotations and prices were e-mailed. The crew for the yard mulching and trimming came on the 27-May-2015 on time. They started in the 3pm and finished the following day. They did excellent work. Even a bees nest in one of the shrubs didn't slow them down. The crew for the trenching, dry well and pea gravel arrived on 7-July-2015 on time. It took the crew two full days to do the work. They did excellent work. My wife and I are very pleased with the results of the work both crews did.
Description of Work: There was two contracts. 1st) Pruned 8 large shrubs, a 25 foot tree, edged mulch beds (3) and mulched the beds. They cleaned up and hauled all the trimmings away. ($800) 2nd) Created and buried large dry well, buried three gutter down spouts with pop-up drains, moved a back door drain out from under the deck and completely covered the area under the deck with ground cloth, edging and pea gravel. ($2K)

+ -1 moreMr. Snell arrived promplty to give an estimate.A few weeks later his crew came, after a substantial rain as agreed, and did the job. They seemed to have done the job as agreed to, I do have a green lawn in spite of the drought. I was a little disappointed that they did not do any raking down of the disturbed soil and made sure that the seeds were covered lightlyl I did that myself. 10-15 years ago I would have loved to do that, but at age 72, not so much. This is the first time I used anyone to do any type of yard work for me, so I guess I just did not ask the right questions to make sure I got the service I needed.

+ 1 moreOur overall experience was outstanding. The initial visit was great, he gave us several different options and ideas to think about before proceeding with a design. We met a second time to confirm everything we wanted within our new landscape. He presented us with a digital design, along with an itemized estimate. Both the design and estimate were a great help by giving us a visual of what our new landscape would look like after completion. They showed up and completed the job as promised. The employees where very professional and courteous. The new landscape and lighting has changed the whole look of our house. We have received several compliments from our neighbors and friends. We would not hesitate to recommend T.J.S Enterprises. They were a great company to work with.
Description of Work: They provided us with a digital landscape design of what our new landscape would look like after completion. They removed our old existing landscape & disposed of all the old plants. They installed new drain tiles from our existing down spouts & installed pop-ups for erosion control. They installed our new landscaping & incorporated new low voltage lighting at the same time.
