Great job!

They were great, removing a tree this large from a small back yard gave me concerns. They had all the equipment they needed to safely and quickly remove this tree and disposed of cuttings and cleaned up all of the debris. I would highly recommend them for any tree work you need to have done, anything from simple trimming to completely removal of a tree of any size. I feel sure you will be completely satisfied.

Jay's Tree Service used a Spider Lift to remove a large tree located, in a difficult place to reach, in my back yard. They protected the turf with mats that the lift could travel over as it moved across the lawn. No damage was done to my lawn. They cleaned up all of the debris before leaving. They responded quickly to my initial call. They came to do the work soon after I called. They worked closely with my neighbor. I was very pleased with their work and highly recommend them.

Jay came by right after I called and gave me an estimate. Since the tree was leaning against another tree, he came the next morning and removed the large tree, a small dogwood and another limb that had blown down. Excellent job and I am happy to recommend them.

Showed up on time and knew what they were doing. Work went quickly and they cleaned up very nicely.

The tree removeal was scheduled within two days of initial contact with Jay. Jay was Very courteous when explaining the process and answered all my questions/concerns for safety during the visit for the estimate. They were able to work us in on the same day as the tree was splitting higher up. The tree was cut down, sawn up, chipped, and the ground cleaned of any debris within an hour from start to finish. The crew members were very professional and worked well together as a team.

Jay and his crew showed up right on time and went to work. They very carefully removed tree limbs close to the house. They finished that same day and cleaned up all the tree limbs and trimmings. One of Jay's crew then did the stump grinding and left the entire area covered with mulch from the stump grinding so I didn't have to put mulch down myself. ( The area around the tree was mulched with no grass prior to the tree being removed). Overall a very professiomal job done well at a fair price. I would recommend Jay's Tree Service to anyone needing tree work.

Excellent. He charged minimum price for removal of medium size dead tree and vines from a second tree. Dead branches were revealed after the vines were removed, and the workers removed those dead branches too..

It went well, overall. He showed up on-time for the initial consultation / quote. He gave me multiple options ranging from simply removing the stump and leaving the pile of shavings, up to more of a full-service where he would remove the shavings, bring in top soil and plant grass. We went with the full-service option. The first time he told me he was coming, he didn't show up and didn't call me. I let it go a couple of days and called him and he said he got busy and would need to check his calendar and get back to me. We ultimately set another date and he did show up as promised, with a helper, to get the work done. The grass he planted hasn't done well and I will ultimately need to re-seed. I'm also not sure he brought in much dirt as there seem to still be a lot of shavings in the dirt that's there. Then again, I'm not an expert on these things. I just know the grass isn't growing, despite being watered every other day, or every day on the hotter days.

Jay and his crew were very professional. They were prompt and hard working. They removed the trees, cleaned up all the debris, and left our yard looking much better than when they started. We would definitely hire them again.

They did a great job. I wanted to keep the wood for firewood, so they blocked the pieces into manageable sizes. They cleaned up the area and ground the stump as well.

Three hardworking gentlemen arrived with high quality equipment and got right to work. They started about 8:15 and had the trees down, stumps ground out and cleaned up by 4 PM. I highly recommend this company!

I'll tell ya'! After joining Angie's list for the specific reason of finding a tree service,I was getting a little disillusioned after the first two companies I contacted didn't work out. The first never contacted me and the second kept delaying me. Then along came Jay and his crew! Jay was quick to respond to my initial message. He called me to set up a time to meet and arrived pretty close to when he said he would,after calling to say he would be a few minutes late. But the important thing is he called! He arrived and gave my wife and I an estimate that we thought was very reasonable.He also gave us a specific date that he could do the job.We accepted and Jay and his crew arrived on the designated day around 8:30 to begin work. They started by first taking down the tree in back,and it became quite obvious very quickly that they knew what they were doing. The guy that was in the tree knew what to cut and where to cut it. He also took his safety seriously as he was always aware of his safety harness. He and Jay and the other guy on the ground were very good at using their ropes to drop some of the limbs and avoid the electric and cable lines that went right through the tree. The other guy on the ground was joined a little later by Jay's brother,I believe,and the two of them stayed busy removing and chipping the small limbs and sawing and loading the bigger pieces for removal. The fellow in the tree then used a bucket truck to trim the tree in the front yard. Jay had already explained the best way to trim the tree was not to reduce height,which could weaken the tree,but concentrate on getting a lot of new growth out,especially in the lower part of the tree,and just open it up a lot.The results were more than we expected! The fellow in the bucket trimmed it to where it is really open on the bottom and just flows out very nicely at the top. He even asked my opinion on a couple of the limbs.After finishing up the trimming,they proceeded to clean up,even going so far as raking and blowing some of the smaller stuff.Overall,these guys did a great job! They were all very professional and had a good work ethic! I would and will use them again in the future.And thanks Angie's list! My faith is restored!

Everything was done to my satisfaction. I was not there the day the job was done. I spoke to Jay about my concerns that I wanted a little more taken out of the top on a few of them and to trim some of the outer branches. He sent someone out to trim the branches and he came out on my next day off so I could be there while he worked on the tops. He even cut a tree branch for me from another tree in my backyard. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely use this company again.
