We had a broken valve that was within the plumbing of a bathtub and it allowed hot water to mix with the cold. When we turned on the water from other taps in the house and turned the setting to cold, we got hot water. We had to run the water a bit until it turned cold. We wasted a lot of water. We had used James Buck plumbing before and were very happy with their work. We called them for this. They replaced the broken valve and it solved the problem. As in the past, we received excellent service from very nice, friendly and efficient people.
Description of Work: We had a valve within the plumbing of a bathtub removed and a new one installed.

I had a drain on my washing machine that I thought was blocked up. I tried to open it myself but had no luck. So I called this company out of the yellow pages. We had a couple miss understanding on the day and time, but we worked it out. They said they would try and have someone over on Friday. But if so he would call. Well he showed up without calling first and I was out running errands. I called the office back later that Friday. The gentleman said he would pull he men off another job and send them over on that Saturday. But I told him that I had lived with it for about a week and another couple days would not bother me. He said he would have a man at my house at 8 AM Monday morning. The serivce man showed up on time that Monday morning. I showed him my problem and where it was located. I left him alone. In about 30 to 45 minutes later I checked on him. He explained that he found no blockage. But he thought the drain line was to small for the washer. He went on to explain that newer washer put out much more water than the later models. My house was built about 1976 and has a 2' black pipe drain for the washer. He suggested that I go to Lowe's and get a 2"x3" rubber boot and a piece of 3 inch pvc pipe about 42" long. He said that by putting about 42" of pvc on my drain pipe before it went into the concret floor would solve my problem of my drain backing up all over my floor. Beacuse the 3" pipe provided more volume to hold the water from my machine. I did as he suggested and I have had no problems what so ever. That has been almost 2 months now.
Description of Work: Snaked out and flushed out 2" washer drain.
