James was fantastic. He offered suggestions on things that I didn't think of and discussed the process with me. He showed up promptly every day and worked hard. I would be more than happy to hire him again.

James is a complete professional. He did exactly what we contracted to do, did it in a timely manner, was always on time and keep his job site clean and neat. Couldn’t ask for a better experience with a contractor.

We have had Mr. Souza do work for us before. He is honest. He allowed us to provide the materials instead of insisting he provide them so he can turn around and jack up the prices on things to support his new Rolls Royce. (Seriously, I don't even think he marks stuff up like many other contractors) If he did, it didn't hurt our wallet. Instead of replacing our master bath vanity, he gave us the measurements and had me go down to Renko to pick out a nice color and get it ordered. He then sanded down the old one and added two brushed coats of polyurethane. (Even removed all the doors and drawers, took them home to keep some of the polyurethane odor out of the bathroom) Today, it looks as good as new and it saved us allot of money because we didn't have to buy a new one. He replaced the commode and re-caulked throughout the two bathrooms. He also painted our garage and garage door. What a difference. What I appreciated about him most is his motivation. While something is drying he is off working on another project. He doesn't sit around or go away and tell you he will be back when something finishes drying.

Mr. Souza has done an excellent job installing crown moulding in our kitchen and making a few changes to our existing cabinetry. He is prompt, precise, and neat. We have been very pleased.

James is very professional, completes work in a timely manner, and provides quality craftsmanship. He communicates all of his intentions up front and does exactly what he says he's going to while keeping costs at or below quoted price. He shows up on time and cleans up after the job. I will continue to call James whenever we need a contractor in the future.

It went fine. He was so nice, always prompt and did a great job. We were very happy about it. Everything he did was fine and he will be the first on my list if I have future work done.

He found a very good solution to our problem needing room in the bathroom that didn't require a remodel. He also took photos of the roof to show me what the last contractor did when he installed 50 year shingles about 5 years ago. The last contractor left a mess up there and didn't finish the job around vents and left a hole in one corner, made a mess around the chimney. He gave us a quote and we decided to hire him as soon as I had the money to have the job done. Within a month I had the money and asked if he could come do the job. He let me know that he was swamped and couldn't get to the job for about 2 1/2 months. I asked him to do the job as soon as he was able to get to it. We talked about this on March 13. In the last 2 months I've called about 3 times and did not get an answer to any of my calls. He must be a good contractor because he doesn't appear to have time for smaller jobs and doesn't return calls sometimes.

James is one of the most careful and professional tradesmen that we have worked with. He applies a very high standard and is not satisfied with anything other than a job done in the right way. He worked at our home for a couple of weeks and was very careful to keep his work area clean and to not disrupt our activities more than was necessary. We have already recommended him to several of our friends without any hesitation whatsoever. If we have work to be done that falls within his expertise, he will be our very first (and probably only) choice to get the job done.

Everything went as planned. He is EXCELLENT to work with.His workmanship is outstanding. Will only use him now that I found him for all my home repairs.

Mr Souza came over to scope the work and declined to submit an estimate because it was too big for one person to do. He did however, spend some time with me and explained the extent of the work that was needed especially on the foundation and structural changes that may be required by the new building code. JSS Remodeling will definitely be at the top of my list if I need to make small renovations in the future.

Installation on both projects went well, and met my complete satisfaction. Mr. Souza is a precise and careful worker, who understands carpentry and wants to do his best job for his customers. He works steadily, arriving early and departing late. I found that he maintained a clean work site at all times, taking construction debris away daily. When problems occur, as they often do on re-modelling projects, Mr. Souza clearly points them out, and discusses potential solutions. I was impressed with Mr. Souza both as a workman and as a person. I have no reservations in recommending him, and will certainly use him again in the future.

Began on May 10th and finished on May 17th. Mr Souza is an excellent carpenter who is very nice to deal with. I had a couple extra request to the way I prefered some work to be done. He was very accommodating and I was very satisified.

The project went great ! Mr. Souza started on the 16th of Feb. (as promised) and complete the job on 3/9/12. He was here every day and kept me and my wife informed ahead of time as to what areas he would be working in the next day so that we could be prepared. Mr. James Souza is the best contractor that I have ever dealt with. His workmanship was excellent and he cleaned up the area he was working before he departed each day.

James exceeded my expectations, he was very punctual ,made sure he kept my home clean, even though he had to take down an outside wall. When he was done it was beautiful and his craftmanship was beyond belief, the area looks as thought that was the way the house was built. I feel his work is some of the best I have ever seen and was priced well.
