All staff were professional, knowledgable, polite and the stairs came out very nice. The installers even showed me what they were doing along the way and explained why which was desired. I would without question call on them again.
Description of Work: Deconstruct and remove existing Cement entry stairs front and side. Worked with secondary company who replaced rotten banding boards to then install new steps front and side out of wood. Then remove any waste and clean up any debris.

My project entailed transforming a dark, space-consuming stairway encased within walls, into an open floating stairway. The old staircase completely separated the living area from the kitchen-dining rooms, prohibiting any conversation between those areas. I wanted to create a space that would allow the entire first floor to function as one open room for entertaining. After interviewing a few contractors, I hired Jimmy Dollman (Dollman Construction). From the first meeting, Jimmy separated himself from the others. He asked relevant questions to ensure that he understood exactly what I wanted from the renovation. After several conversations and review of an idea book, Jimmy completed design drawings and then thoroughly explained each part of the renovation process. Certain design elements required thinking outside the box so that building code requirements were met, while still creating the look and ?feel? I wanted. The timeline for completion of the project was to be no later than Aug 2nd. It was completed on July 25th. I then added an additional project, the replacement of the kitchen flooring, on July 28th. The stairway renovation turned out so well that it made the kitchen floor appear shabby and out of place. Even with special order tile, Dollman completed everything by Aug 15th . The renovation was done on our second residence, a townhouse that is a 3 ½ hour drive from our permanent residence. We only made one visit during the four month renovation. However, Jimmy routinely sent pictures at all major milestones. I could also count on receiving his updates every Friday. I always felt ?in the loop? and fully informed. I was never worried or concerned about not being on site. The townhouse has vaulted ceilings in the living area, yet was dark and relatively small with just one North facing window. The dining room has a sliding glass door with Southern exposure and opens into a huge open kitchen. There was a prefab gas fireplace that took precious space from the small living room, yet was never used. The design that Jimmy and I created got rid of the fireplace, and completely opened up the staircase, making it appear to ?float? with as few visible support beams as possible. We chose a stainless steel cable banister system that allowed the dining and living areas to become one open living space. The end result is an incredible contemporary design that takes maximum advantage of the vaulted ceiling. The demo included removal of the fireplace?s gas line, relocation of numerous electrical outlets/switches, removal of four walls and the existing wood floor. New hardwood oak flooring was installed. Custom made steps and wood railings were milled and stained to match the dark cherry colored flooring (perfectly, may I say). With the entire downstairs repainted a crisp white (less my one Chicago Maroon accent wall), the contrast was made even more dramatic with the installation of new lighting. Two can lights on a dimmer switch under the first landing were added as a suggestion from Jimmy. Two new pendant lights and matching stairway sconce of pewter and nickel completed the contemporary feel of the new space. An area that was considered marginally functional became a perfect warm and inviting entertainment space. Now when you walk through the front door, you feel like you could be in a trendy loft apartment in Manhattan. Now that the project is complete we know without a doubt that we hired the right contractor. The new staircase exceeded all our expectations. It was completed ahead of schedule and on budget?with no hidden expenses or financial surprises! Mr. Dollman and his company?s professionals were a pleasure to work with, responsive, caring and talented. We would not think of working with any other contractor in the Roanoke or Blacksburg area.

Working with Dollman and their subcontractors went very smoothly and we would surely give them a first look for any other projects we may consider. Mr. Dollman walked us through the remodel process along with where to select choices for cabinets, tile and plumbing hardware. But, as with most projects, some small revisions to plans were required and they were also very easy to discuss options, choices and to keep the project moving forward. Dollman's subcontractors were professional, courteous and considerate of the dust and disruption that accompanies such work. We have now been using the bathroom for two months and are very happy with the end result.

We love our new kitchen! This was our second Dollman Construction project and we'd use them again. The project finished on time and all the Dollman employees and sub-contractors were professional and courteous. The project manager stayed involved and made sure the each part of the project was done right and what we wanted. They were flexible when we requested a few changes as things progressed and were timely and attentive in addressing those changes. I liked the way the initial contract was set up - it also allowed the flexibility to make decisions about upgrading components after the process started. And we did just that on both the cabinets and the granite countertops. Though we knew what we wanted, the experience they brought to the project resulted in quite a few features and details that we hadn't thought of or another contractor might have missed. The result ended up being a combination of their design ideas and ours - and exceeded our expectations.

If you’ve been searching for a talented, reliable, professional contractor in and around Roanoke, stop looking! We have nothing but praise for Jimmy Dollman and his team. We interviewed several contractors about remodeling our kitchen but no one came close to Jimmy in terms of understanding our needs and translating them into an inspired design. From start to finish our experience with Jimmy Dollman Construction was absolutely fantastic. His staff of workers were highly skilled, respectful, and a pleasure to be around. Without exception, everyone who worked on our kitchen went above and beyond to ensure that the job was done right—including fixing the mistakes of other contractors! We truly feel fortunate that we found Jimmy and will recommend him to anyone and everyone. Our new kitchen is AMAZING!

This is an update to the review below--I just wanted to add that Dolman Construction continues to stand by their work even after the check is long cashed. Since I wrote this review and the work was completed, we discovered a few problems. Nothing major, but there were a few things that we felt need to be corrected. Jimmy was very responsive to our requests. If he got tired of hearing from us, you couldn't tell it by his demeanor. All issues were addressed and taken care of to our satisfaction with out argument or friction. I was very impressed by that, and when we get ready to do further work on this house, we will absolutely be calling Dollman Construction to do the work. ********************************************** We bought a house in October that needed a substantial amount of work done before we could move it. I found Dollman construction on Angie's List and contacted Jimmy Dollman based on the reviews I read here. Jimmy Dollman met with us at the house a few days later. We described what we wanted to do, and he carefully explained that would cost far more than we had imagined. A lot more. He then patiently listened to our extensive wish list, made a lot of measurements, and talked with us about various possibilities. Instead of expanding the current kitchen (which was on a back porch that had been enclosed and was quite small, awkward, and out of date) outside of the "footprint" of the house, which costs a lot more, he suggested we put the kitchen in an adjoining room, and open the wall between the two rooms. This gave us the possibility of a larger kitchen, a walk-in pantry, a place for a small kitchen table, and a good sized play area for our son. Brilliant! We loved this idea in theory and the result has been even better than I imagined. We knew that the whole roof on the house needed to be replaced. The older part of the house had ancient metal shingles that had mostly lost their paint. The garage was attached to the house and had what I think of as a "shed" roof--no peak, just a flat roof that sloped away from the house. These two features combined made the house look like, well, kind of like a shack. Neither roof was very sound, either, because they both started leaking soon after we closed (of course). Dollman construction replaced the whole roof with shingles, fixed all the rotten wood they found, and replaced all the gutters. They also completely rebuilt the roof over the garage, so it has a peak and ties in to the roof of main part of the house. It's amazing how much better the house looks with the new shingles and roof line. I know they did a good job on the roof, the gutters, and fixed all the leaks, because after the last heavy snow, the water was gushing out of the downspouts like a waterfall, but everything inside was dry. Jimmy also created a very beautiful design for the kitchen. However, with the kitchen, the project was way outside what we felt we could spend. So, Jimmy came up with a way to put off the purchase of new, custom cabinets and counter tops by installing used cabinets and counters. This really saved us, because it brought the cost of the whole project into a range we could deal with, but still gave me a very functional kitchen (and a new roof) until we can sell the old house. Better yet, all the electrical and plumbing is in the right place for the original design. Frankly, I'm amazed at what Jimmy's crew was able to do with the used cabinets and counter tops. It's actually very darned close to the layout in the design. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they can do with the new cabinets and counter tops, but I'm very happy with the intermediate results. What I appreciate most about Jimmy is his willingness to work with us and our budget. We had a long list of things we needed and wanted to do. He worked with us extensively to break the work into several phases, and price those phases, so we could decided what was most important and what we could wait on. This was very important to us, and really proved we were working with the right person. I know this was probably a lot of extra work for him, but he did it with patience and good will. He explained what work needed to be done, how the work would go, and what we could expect, very carefully (sometimes more than once), until we felt we understood well enough to make the right choices. We wanted to do some of the work ourselves, to save money (paint and some trim). When we discussed that with Jimmy, he was receptive to it, helped us get some of the materials, and kept us informed about the time frame for getting our part of the work done. Dollman Construction started working on our house right after Christmas 2013. They are just about done now, in the later part of April 2014. Considering the amount of work to be done, and the truly rotten weather we've had this winter, I think they've worked very quickly. All of the Dollman people that have come to work on the house have done an excellent job, cleaned up well, been careful with our property, and been generally pleasant to meet. The plasterers (subcontractors) did leave a bit of a mess behind. I saw it one evening, but didn't have a chance to do anything about it. I went over a couple of days later, and Jimmy's crew had cleaned everything up. They shoveled snow, too, when we couldn't get out to do it. On the few occasions there have been problems (and it seems there just will be with a project this big), they have been addressed quickly and completely. Jimmy is very responsive to his clients, returning phone calls, emails, and calling to update us on the project and what's coming next. One evening, we thought we smelled gas at the house. It was a faint, and we opened a window, planning to go back the next day and see if we could still smell it. I emailed Jimmy to let him know, and Jimmy went over to the house at 9 p.m. on a Sunday evening to check it out. Everything was okay, and I really appreciated his concern and dedication. We were very anxious about the renovation process and spending what is quite a lot of money for us. We probably drove Jimmy more than a little crazy because of that, but he was always polite, professional, and personable with us. We quickly came to trust him and the people that work with him. We are looking forward to working with him again, once we've sold the old house, and are ready to finish the kitchen in the new one. I'd love to have Dollman Construction remodel our bathrooms somewhere down the road. They will be my first choice every time.
Description of Work: Work performed on our house by Dollman Construction: --Gently explained that what we thought we wanted to do cost much, much more than we wanted to spend --Helped us determine how to get as much of what we wanted for what we could spend (no easy thing, I'm sure) --Drew computer-generated plans for a kitchen and eat-in dining area/playroom (these were excellent and completely worth the money) --Had a brilliant idea to make the kitchen better by moving the current kitchen to a larger, adjoining room and removing most of the wall between those rooms to create a kitchen with eat-in area/playroom. --Replaced the roof on the entire house --Rebuilt the roof over the garage, to change it from almost flat, to having a peak, and tying it in to the rest of the house --Replaced rotted exterior trim and manufactured trim to match what was already on the house --Replaced the rain gutters --Replaced the large kitchen window with a smaller window to allow for cabinets --Brickwork to fill in the hole around the new window --Replaced a very short, ugly, looked like it fell off a travel-trailer backdoor with a beautiful french-type door and two sidelights --Re-framed and rebuilt wall around the new door --Trimmed new door on the interior and exterior, and it looks absolutely wonderful --Removed ankle-breaking concrete step --Installed deadbolt and knob on new door --Built walk-in pantry with pocket door and lighting --Removed wall between two rooms to make a kitchen with eat-in area/playroom --Did all the necessary electrical work for the kitchen--can lights, pendant lights, electrical outlets, double ovens, ceiling fan, and other light fixtures --Moved and re-plumbed a hot water radiator --Installed plumbing for kitchen sink --Removed all the old plumbing and electrical where it was no longer needed --Rebuilt floor over concrete slab and installed hardwood through both rooms (really beautiful work) --Installed wallboard on new walls --Plastered new walls and repaired old walls --Installed double ovens, sink, faucet, garbage disposal, gas cook top, refrigerator, and dishwasher --Installed used cabinets to make kitchen functional until we can sell current house and complete the kitchen re-design (more about that below) --Installed two bath fans --Found bad water leak in concrete slab, caused by cold weather, and repaired it, as well as parts of the line going out to the main --Kept work site pretty clean

Dollman Construction was very responsive to all of our questions/concerns throughout the remodel of our 1925 home. They were timely with work, kept us up to date on progress, and typically exceeded our expectations with all of the work. All construction workers were friendly and tidy. Windows are beautiful and were installed quickly. Kitchen work had to be scaled back due to our budget but they worked with us to achieve most of what we wanted. Very helpful in figuring out what we could and could not accomplish. Love our new kitchen.

We purchased a cottage built in the early 60's at SML. Most of the original structure was still intact including a large front screened porch, which we called "Dead Space." The porch had a metal roof that leaked rain fall and would leave water stationed in areas on the concrete flooring due to improper drainage. This caused the walls to shift, including the retaining walls on the outside surrounding walkways. Our plan was to remove this large dead space as well as a long brick wall that divided the inside of the cottage to this front porch, which would enlarge the living space immensely. We spoke to a couple contractors who did not seem interested or had no idea what to do. Verbally, Dollman Construction was introduced to me and I placed a call to Jimmy. He promptly arrived for our scheduled walk through, explaining his ideas, as well as listening intently to our concerns. After the final drawings of what would be the end result and feeling very confident that this contractor will deliver, we hired Dollman Construction to do the major renovation. Jimmy and his staff transformed this area into a large living space, master bathroom and complete washer/dryer area. What a beautiful job! The work went very smooth and was very professional. We do not reside there full time until retirement. Jimmy sent pictures of the progress and answered any follow on questions we had. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. I would also like to thank Gerry and Rob for their artisanship. At times I would ask Gerry & Rob to make decisions on my behalf and I was very pleased. Thank you!! Lee Edgerly

Mr. Dollman was very professional. He suggested an alternative to the original plan we envisioned. The alternative was more affordable for our bath remodel. He was helpful and advised us how to ready the bath prior to the plumber installing the bathtub and wall liner. The plumber was very knowledgable and efficient. He covered the floors with paper to contain the minor mess and prevent damage to our wood floors. We would definitely call Jimmy Dollman in the future for repairs and remodels.

The Dollman people I met in the course of this quote, while I'm sure are good at what they do, didn't seem to have much sense of how to take a person from the idea to start a renovation to actually doing the work. They were fixated on a couple of details before we ever started, and I could tell within a minute or so of his arrival that he was not interested in doing the work. I'm glad I didn't waste much time with Dollman, but I'd like to possibly save other homeowners the time of asking these folks to quote straightforward renovation work.
Description of Work: We tried to contact Dollman through their website, but they never responded. So some weeks later I gave them a call and asked them to come over and provide a quote to finish some unfinished space in our home. They were unwilling to do only a portion of the work, and were insisting on us providing details that we had not yet decided on right up front. I got the sense that working with them would be unpleasant and inflexible.

Response from Dollman Construction, Inc
Member, I find it frustrating in one sense and a bit comical in another that I am defending myself over a project that I did not do. I am not sure why a homeowner would consider a contractor declining their project such a negative experience. It takes a considerable amount of experience and discipline for a contractor to say “NO”. As I told you, after arriving on time for our appointment, we would not be able to help you for several reasons. Your timeline for starting was impossible for us to meet. You were also commencing the remodeling project without proper permitting. In addition, I had concerns that you had begun hiring subcontractors for portions of the work which can cloud the lines of liability for the finished product as well as create a scheduling disaster for everyone involved. In my opinion, this review is an example of someone who would likely complain in any circumstance and reinforces my decision to walk away. In order to make you happy with our service I would have had to have quoted on portions of a project that had no clear scope of work or direction, rescheduled other clients to meet your timeline, performed work with no permit and most likely would have to argue about who is responsible for what and defend the amount of time it would take. I am well aware of how to take a project from concept to completion and consider my method to be a much better model than the method you were using since mine has been refined and tested over 1,200 times. I have a responsibility to my clients and employees to avoid projects that will likely have a bad outcome. Most people are receptive to the honest assessment of a contractor admitting that a project is not a good fit for his company; I am sorry you are not one of those people. We simply can’t be all things to all people. I sincerely wish you the best with your remodeling project but it is not for us. Regards, Jimmy Dollman

We found Jimmy Dollman's company on Angie's list and we selected his company based on the outstanding reviews he had received in the past and the fact that he is a class A, licensed and insured contractor. We aren't risk takers and wanted to make sure that the company we selected was reputable, skilled in the disciplines we needed to complete the job and easy to work with. Jimmy came out to the site and walked over all of the projects we wanted done. He had some great ideas on how to take care of an awkward downstairs guestroom to be used by our grandsons. Although the room was large we were having trouble getting the storage solutions we wanted and 2 twin beds in the room. His idea was to open up an area beneath a staircase that allowed us to tuck a bed and nightstand in to the space. In the family room he and the interior designer he brought with him, Paula Smith Linkhous, came up with the idea of reorienting the family room to a different wall which would feature a new stone fireplace and built in bookshelves and media area. It was a leap of faith for me and we are so glad we did it. Upstairs Jimmy came up with an entirely new layout for our master bathroom and our tiny master closet which gave us an additional 3 feet of closet space, a new vessel tub for me and new corner shower for my husband. We decided to reuse the existing vanity but have it painted to coordinate. The new guest bathroom is handicapped accessible, yet looks like a picture out of a magazine. In fact, everything he and his crew did is very high end. I'm still shocked when I walk downstairs and see the work they did. Everything they did is really gorgeous and exceeded our expectations. The initial bid was a little higher than we wanted to spend and Jimmy was very patient about working through what we wanted to achieve and where we could economize and where we really needed to go higher end like using premium materials for our downstairs flooring and fireplace but using porcelain rather than stone in the bathrooms. He came out often to check on the job and we talked about once a week. He's very funny, easy to deal with and what we especially like is that he really is on top of everything. We had very few issues and those that came up were dealt with immediately without any fuss. The job site was cleaned and vacuumed every night, which was great for us, since we stayed in the house while all of the work was done. His crew, project manager and subs were all top notch. Everything is all about the customer and what is going to work and look the best. As the installation progressed his team came up with some great design ideas, like lowering the shower floor in our guest bath to provide wheelchair access without having to build up a ramp and realigning some of our lighting to give the best effect. It didn't change the cost, but really enhanced the outcome. We especially loved working with Paula Smith Linkous, the interior designer Jimmy brought in, to help us out with layout ideas, tile, finishes and colors. We probably worked with Rob and Gerry Horne the most and we would really like to have them just move in with us. We hate to see them go. They are extremely skilled, personable and yes, they are great with dogs. While they didn't walk them they actually made friends with our three extremely shy rescue dogs. What we learned from this experience is that you get what you pay for. If you want a company you can trust to deliver the very best product based on your budget in a very low stress way then you really can't go wrong with Dollman Construction. Today is the last day of our project and it was delivered on time and on budget. We have a list of future projects that we would like to work with them on and I guess that says it all.

Right from the start Mr. Dollman & his team made the steps that they would take and how the process would work from start to finish. They were very professional, and precise. They also went out of their way to complete the task in an aesthetically pleasing way not included in our original contract. They did this at no cost to us and did so only after asking us for approval first. Very perfect, very neat and very much would use them in the future should the need arise.

We worked with Jimmy Dollman and an interior designer to create a plan for our project. After developing a plan that we liked we hired Dollman Construction to complete the project but we chose to provide our own appliances. The project went better than we expected. We had two small problems - one with a window and another with a cabinet panel but the problems were immediately addressed and didn't cause any serious delays. The house and yard were kept clean throughout the job. I was glad that we were constantly updated regarding what was happening and what to expect next. We love the cabinets, new lighting and the windows in our sunroom. We look forward to enjoying our deck this spring. The job went well and we would recommend this contractor to anyone wanting to remodel or build.
Description of Work: Remodeled and enlarged kitchen and built a sunroom with deck.

It went well. We didn't end up using them because they were just a little bit more expensive than what we were wanting to pay at that time. Even though I do realize that sometimes good work does cost more.

Response from Dollman Construction, Inc
Member, I don't necessarily consider the review that you posted to be negative but I believe you are mistaken about the contractor(s) that you contacted last April. We have not provided an estimate for you or for anyone else at the address in your profile. We want our Angie's List profile to reflect (good or bad) only the experiences with our company. Best Regards, Jimmy Dollman

I have managed numerous construction projects over the years and was concerned about getting a contractor for such a small project. I did contact one contractor, however, when he failed to state that he would get a building permit, I refused to deal with him. When I called Dollman Construction, they responded very quickly and thoroughly evaluated my proposed project. His investigation revealed some serious structural flaws which he fully explained. He then told me he was interested in submitting a bid to do the proposed work. He also stated that he would pull the building permit (without me asking). Within two days I received a written proposal detailing the scope of work including my responsibilities. Included in the proposal were statements about their insurance coverage. The price was what I considered to be very fair and I gave him the go ahead. Within two weeks the work was completely finished with the building inspector signing off as well as myself. During the construction the communications with the contractor was excellent and there never was a question about the work being of high quality in a timely manner.
Description of Work: I retained this contractor to replace the five 6" x 6" posts that were deteriorating under my sunroom. The original construction dated 1990 and I was very concerned about the structural stability of the posts. My concern, due to the height above the ground was wind damage as well as load bearing considerations.

Dollman Construction completely transformed my basement. They work included an office, complete entertainment area and a bathroom. They did such a great job that when I have company over, they want to be entertained in my basement. They were punctual. Mr. Dollman gave me suggestion on how to utilize all of my space and I was glad I listened to his suggestions and implmented them. The staff is very courteous and cleaned up all the debris before leaving.

They were very professional and very nice. They came out in less than a week after we contacted them. They gave us a verbal estimate and we wanted it typed up because we were comparing. They gave us the written estimate promptly. They did everything we asked. They’re just a little on the expensive side, it was double what the other company would do it for. The guy said he was gonna be out to take a look at everything and he was right out here when he said he would be. We asked them about something for our basement and had them look at a couple other things but we're kinda putting that on hold. They also looked at our roof but then we got a better bid.

Gave a through estimate and a creative and detailed drawing for the project. Much more complete than the other estimates we reviewed. Made modifications as requested by us. The plan included excavating a line in the concrete floor for the new bath. A very good crew overall. The project came out as planned. It looks great and has given us exactly the space we were seeking. We have received many compliments. Also did a 20 kw automatic whole house generator.

It went great. They had to work with the insurance company and that took a while. But they did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone.

It was a lengthy process because so much had to be done. However, we were told what each step would be, wh was to show up each day, at what time, and what to expect. The only negative I can think of is it is a shame this wasn't done years ago. It was a good decision and a great job.
Description of Work: Totally demolished and reconstructed a 1960's kitchen. The job was a long one but the end result was wonderful and even better than expected. It was well worth the efforts. I would recommend Dollman Constrction to anyone needing general contractor/ remodeling work done.

If you are looking for a contractor to replace your deck; then you need to read this post and look no further. First of all let me tell you that I am a Retired Army Colonel with 38 years of service and dealings with Department of Defense contractors. I am not opposed to running off a contractor whose performance is substandard or takes short cuts to save pennies. I won?t tolerate shoddy work ! If you don?t know by now then let me tell you that Roanoke and Roanoke County have a set of approved guidelines that they have adopted when it comes to the construction of a ?New? deck where there is an existing deck. If your deck was built more than 5 years ago and you have a band board bolted into brick veneer, then get ready for this: All replacement decks are ?Free Standing? . You cannot bolt into Brick Veneer any longer. Your deck must have a post at each corner and must stand alone as a structure. Now, you can attach to brick veneer for decoration IF YOUR DECK IS FREE STANDING. Our deck was built with the best wood material number 1 prime Durapine by Cox and Number 2 prime for structural beams and construction. When the Roanoke County Building inspector tells you that this is the model for all decks to be copied, then we did something right. The deck rails were Oxford by Certainteed the deck stain was by TWP and is not only a sealant but a preservative that EPA has certified. The attention to detail such as the mitered corners, the composite band boards the nailing of the hurricane clips and the overall detail was impressive. This is a wooden deck with composite railings and composite band board. The ingenious suggestion was to lay the boards at a 38 degree thus the entire board would be used resulting with ?NO BUTT ENDS? of any boards. If you look closely every board has been screwed into each stringer board. There is NOT ONE butted board on the walking part of this deck. The beams were sandwich as three beams and were used throughout the construction. You have Three 12 foot boards by 12 inches high that were nailed and bolted to each other to create the best possible load bearing next to a steel beam. The Three 12 foot boards were not compromised in areas that could of used 10 inch high beams. From the footers , hardware, cutting , nailing bolting, cement pour, backfilling of dirt to final railings were are supervised by the construction manager (Rob) . When we thought we had problems with a batch of wood, Jimmy ( the owner) called Cox Wood in North Carolina who sent a rep along with the local warehouse rep to confirm that the best possible wood was used and not compromised. If we received 50 boards, only the optimal finished 30 to 35 pieces were approved for use with the others returned. Folks, when I tell you that you can drive a car onto this deck we are not kidding. We have had other contractors to our home doing various other jobs such as landscaping and generator work with all of them commenting on the superior work that was done on the deck. DO NOT COMPROMISE BY USING ANY OTHER CONTRACTOR?????. Dolman construction has done a superior job and I challenge any other contractor to come by and try to pick apart any workmanship. Bottom Line: You don?t need to look any further; this is the contractor you need to choose to replace your old deck. You may also ask them to bring you by to personally see their work. From the project manager (Rob) to his contractor staff they all were the most professional folks you can meet. No one was cutting corners to save pennies and only the best workmanship was observed. See pictures and video attached to this post. .

They were prompt to give me the estimate. He demolished the existing sunroom and rebuilt the sunroom on the existing footprint. Everything was excellent and over and above my expectations. Our sunroom now is so much more enjoyable.

I contracted Jimmy Dollman to remodel the kitchen in my new very old home. When I met Jimmy I didn't know what direction to go in; had lots of ideas, but no real understanding of how things worked or what needed to be done first. Jimmy explained everything in a way I could understand it, helped me stick to a budget and still be able to get what I wanted out of the project. The entire experience has been nothing but positive and the kitchen turned out just beautiful! All of his employees are courteous and helpful and Jimmy is the ultimate professional. He is knowledgeable in his field and always responds quickly to any concerns I have, and always with a professional and friendly demeanor, as do the people working for him. Just a great overall experience. I will definitely use Dollman Construction in the future and recommend them to anyone I know needing a contractor.
