+ -1 moreThey're the one company I would not recommend. They stopped answering my calls a year ago. I've been using them for a number of years. I spent thousands of dollars for the heat pump and gas furnace and they wouldn't respond to my calls. I had another company come out and say it was trash.

+ -1 moreHad used Dalton for several years and they had provided good service. Looked past how they dirtied my walls when duct cleaning and not protecting end of ladder on my wall. Performed emergency services at a rental house. This May,mthey came to do a regular maintenance check on my units. When I called back to inquire about them coming back to change a filter, I received no phone call back. Tried for several weeks and nobody ever returned a call. I was perplexed as I had been a good customer and had no issues with them. Became very unreliable and I would not recommend.

Description of Work: Having a problem replacing filter in gas furnace they installed in Dec. 2013. I feel installation was defective. I' ve called 3 times in the last 2 1/2 weeks & have not received a return call. I will find a new HVAC company. Will not use Dalton Heating &A/C again.

Description of Work: Contacted this vendor on or about May 28 regarding an air conditioner problem. The representative said they were not available that day but that a service technician would be by sometime the following day. No one showed. I tried to call them at their published phone number, but no one answered. I left a message but no one contacted me.

+ -1 moreFound the service to be unreliable. Never received a return phone call when requested. Receptionist unprofessional and abrupt.
Description of Work: Dalton Heating and Air was hired to replace an AC system with a heat pump during major renovations to our new home. First, after we moved in, we found there was no thermostat for the basement baseboard heat. We called and that was fixed. Next the newly installed heat pump wasn't working during Christmas, just 3 weeks after we moved in. Also, there was no filter in place. Repaired after several calls. Then, later in July our whole heat pump froze-up and quit. We called with no response for over 2 days! We then contacted our contractor. The receptionist for Dalton called to say and I quote, "we are taking care of our regular customers first!" We thought we were regulars given the number of service calls we had. Anyhow, Mr Dalton showed up and repaired a motor in the air handler that was under warranty. The part was free but the service call was billed at $384.00!!!!

+ -1 moreright on time. completed work in freezing temps and never complained. Mr. Dalton is a person that you can both reply on and trust. these are both qualities in high demand but low supply. I would recommed him for your HVAC needs.

Description of Work: AC unit was not running, just hummed. Came same day. Diagnosed problem. Had parts on truck and fixed on the spot. Scheduled full survice call for next day. Came on time and serviced unit. I asked about buying a new unit and he said " I'd love to sell you one but I really think this unit still has some life in it". Unit working great now. Unit is 20 years old. This is my second experience with them. Great service and fair price.

Installed 4 separate units (none Rheem and none matching);Gibson, Payne, Nordyne and Airflow?; put 2 ton in attic and 2.5 ton downstairs; did not cut vents; lines froze with first use; would not respond to phone calls; failed city inspection; would not fix problems; upstairs unit never cooled; multiple problems with thermostat; never left manual on site; rude, beligerant, raised his voice to me; put a lien on my house when I refused to pay balance due; not properly installed; flex lines too long; denied written quote. Absolutely nothing redeeming about this company: poor workmanship, poor ethics, poor time management; deceitful.
Description of Work: Install 2.5 ton Rheem heat pump in walk-up attic to service 2nd floor and attic with vents roughed in for later completion of room. Install 2 ton Rheem A/C on 1st floor. Upgrade gas heater from 80 to 90.
