CONSOLIDATED CONSTRUCTION SVC

Description of Work: After frozen pipes, Consolidated came in to remove walls and ceiling to give the plumbers access to pipes and then came to repair afterwards. During the experience I a pull up bar stollen from my home and found my husband's old baseball gloves relocated from the basement to the hallway as if they were going to be taken, but forgot. These are small items, but when I talked to the company about them they really did nothing but inquire about the items to their teams. I was offered nothing, which to me is bad business. There was a lock box on the house which I was told all Consolidated employees know the combination to giving them access to the house and the key. This made me very uncomfortable as I had renters moving in and I want to make sure they are safe. I asked that they at least change the locks for us since the theft happened during the time they had access to the house. This was eventually granted, but had I not asked nothing would have been offered by the company. The work was completed and when I went to inspect, the painting outlined in the contract had not been done and the caulking looked like a child did it. I asked that the contract be honored and the caulk fixed. It was, but to my surprise no holes were filled on walls before painting even though the contract said "prep walls for paint." I asked the contractor and he said that filling wall holes was not part of the contract. At that point I was so frustrated I just did it myself. Additionally, they walled over water turn off valves which I had to get them to open back up. I was not happy with the overall service. The only thing I will say is that the price was good for the amount of work done and the drywall work was perfect.

Description of Work: I called for an estimate on getting the air checked in my mother's house downstairs where we had seen some mold at the bottom of the paneling. They recommended that I needed someone to come out and do an air quality test. They did not do that type of work but had a company that they recommended and said he would come back when the appointment was set.
