They are through the city and they are great; they are amazing. They are paid through our taxes so I don't know how much we pay them exactly. They do recycle, they come promptly, and they have wonderful trucks that pick the cans up, dump them and set them back down. Then if you have bigger, unusual trash, like tree cuttings or lawn-furniture, you put it out and they have people that drive around the neighborhood that pick it up and take it away. During the holidays, they readjust the schedule, they come one day later, and they send you an email to remind you, which is good. They even give us two cans. They have special trucks that are called, ‘the one arm bandits’. Also, after the storm they come and make sure that there are no tree limbs down on the road, so they do everything, and they go above and beyond. They collect both the cans one after the other, the regular trashcan and the recycle can on the same day. The recycle truck pretty much follows along the other one, and they are here within the same hour. I have never seen any garbage spills and I have seen that occasionally, the driver, that is a woman, gets down and resets the arm if it chips over or something. So if she has to get out of the truck, she does and it amazes me to watch how she maneuvers the truck. We just have to put the cans in front of our house; it does not have to be kept together.
