CARPETLAND

I was very disatisfied. When I met with the salesman I explained to him I was a very picky person and I wanted the best. My house was built in 80's and the floors squek and I wanted to make sure this was taken of and I was told it would be. I still have the same squeks that I had before and I don't feel the quality of the wood for the amount of money I paid is worth the price. I contacted the store and they said they would make any concerns I had right. Then I was told after I contacted them the second time that they were sorry but there was nothing else they could do.

I went to them because they had a really good sale going on. They did a good job and it was okay. It is doing okay but there are a couple of places that I am not crazy about. They said they would come back and correct it so I would have to say they did a good job. They originally came out and measured it. I originally went in the store the day before the holiday weekend. I just saw one person in the store. He was very nice and helpful. I was the only person there. I have shopped them before and I would never buy from them before because I felt they had kind of ignored me. I don't know if it was because I was younger and was a female, but if a man came in the store, they would talk to them. I felt that the women were not getting very good service and I was not pleased with them at all. I can't say that about this experience. I had refused to shop them in the past but I went this time because they had such a great special going on. They were offering free installation, free delivery and removal of the old carpet. The estimate was free to measure so those are the reasons I went in there this time. It had been 20 years since I've been there because I felt their service was shoddy. This time I dealt with Gib. He was really good. He was nice and polite. They were supposed to be here at 10 am and when they weren't here, I called and there had been a mix-up in the scheduling. The guy that came out was an elderly man and he was very, very nice but he was almost deaf so I could hardly talk to him unless I was right next to him. He was the nicest guy in the world but I just couldn't communicate with him. They did a good job and I am pleased with the carpet but there were a few flaws. I spent more than I had planned to, but I think I got an excellent grade of carpet. I really hadn’t compared pricing because I hadn't bought carpet in a long time and all the add-ons like estimating and measuring were free. They were definitely very professional and I will go back to them in the future because I still have two rooms that I need to carpet.
