Needless to say, it did not go as we expected! The worst and stupidest part is that we paid him almost $5000 to get the materials for the patio which never came. Neither did he.

As soon as we handed the money over things started to change. He would argue and ask for money, saying things took longer and were more of a problem than he anticipated. Then after all the fighting and doing back and forth we finally gave in and gave him more money and conceeded on some issues just to get him to finish. Two months after he finished the wall feel down. Since then he will not return our calls or fix the problem.

The work was to be completed in two weeks, after four months of showing up sporadically he stopped coming and did not respond to calls. When the work was being performed one part would be started and not finished before another part was started. Nothing was ever finished. The quality of work was very poor, the one paver surface that was installed is already starting to come apart after a few months. Most of the flower beds were installed so poorly that they were overcome by weeds within weeks. The drywells installed to take care of drainage did help somehwat but he laid sod directly over the top of the fill gravel and it died quickly, It alos looks like he didn't compact anythign on the dry wells because they have all sunk down so now I have to fill them in about three inches and resod the surface. He would show up around noon and leave before 4:00. There was alsways some excuse for not being able to come, truck broke down almost daily, kids sick, he's sick, had to go to court, he would bring his kids over to play while he was working and then he called to tell me they have lice so we had to disinfect all of our play equipment before our kids could use it again, it was all very dramatic. This person should not be operating his own business.
