Lousy. The guy shows up & tells me he's only there for 3 hours. I show him the 4 tasks. Putting the tiles in an accoustic ceiling (framework is already in, just needs to clip them in), Install 2 ceiling light fixtures, clean & reattach the hose to the clothes dryer & mount a new mailbox on an existing pole. He says he has never done a ceiling before & I voice my concerns & he assures me he can figure it out & complete it. (My 2nd mistake is letting him proceed). I call the customer service & explain to her (Chem) that I was NEVER told anything about a certain # of hours. The time is nearly up & the handyman has to leave & has NOT completed the 1st of he 4 tasks. She repeatedly argues & tell me it's in the system as 3 hours. I continue to tell them they are wrong, I would never have booked it for 3 hours as I knew it would take longer. The lady finally tells me they will do current task in the agreement at no cost because he has already started, to honor the Happiness Guarantee. I tell her I don't want it free, I want it right. She repeats that she can't do anything else to help & that there is no supervisor to report to because she can help me with the issue (which clearly she couldn't). She also tells me they will extend the Handyman, Hector for another 2 hours. Hector is supposed to be leaving for his regular job, but stays anyway (points for him). I have checked on his progress several times & he seems to have figured out how to clip in the ceiling tiles. Then he announces he is finished. I go out to check the final product out & am shocked!!!!! The last section of the ceiling looks like a badly done patchwork quilt. There are two tiles he installed that obviously had some sort of stain on them from the box so there are 2 big dark patches now o the ceiling. Then he has cut tiles to fit them into the next-to-last section with what looks like a butcher knife, rough & jagged. I find another 2 tiles that the corners are broken on. and then several other mis-cut & seriously misfitted tiles as well. I comment on this & he shrugs & says he can't stay to redo it. In other words he couldn't care less. Then he shows me the other corner where he was trying to finish. It looks better , but there is a tile completely missing. He hands it to me & says he cannot put it in because he knows he will mess it up. WHAT?!!! Then he packs up & leaves. (I HAVE PICTURE OF ALL OF THIS MESS) I was told by the first customer service woman I spoke with that I was to call the back when he was finished so he could get credit for the extra 2 hours he worked. I did so & got a man named Lance. Then the whole thing starts all over again. He continues to argue with me that the project was only booked for 3 hours. I tell him Hector has finished. He says he will have to put through the whole charge but will refund half of the project price. I tried finding numbers to file a formal complaint, even at the corporate level. The only numbers take you right back into booking which is futile. I put out several review responses telling what happened & only received 1 email saying thank you for writing & to call booking to select another project (SERIOUSLY?!) So now I have a horrible ceiling which it doesn't look like Angie's is going to do anything about. So I guess I will be paying someone else to fix his crappy work. And to do the other items he never made it to. NO, I will not now or ever be using Angie's or Home Advisor again. And anytime someone asks me for a reference, I will tell them exactly what happened to me & why I will never trust this company again. Parts of it are so poorly organized & run it is ridiculous & they have NO interest is making anything wrong right. JUST PITIFUL.
