Response from Wipe Me Down Mobile Detailing
Instead of a response to this review, Ill simply post my communication with Angie's List regarding this incident and let you as the consumer form your own opinion. Below is the email that I sent to the Angie's List Business Center: I understand that there is a procedure by which angie's list will investigate a review and verify its accuracy. I would like to have this process started for the last review that my company received. The whole issue has wreaked of deception from the outset but only became blatantly apparent a week ago when the customer reported to her credit card company that the transaction between her and I, that was brokered through Angie's List, was fraudulent and not authorized by her. That situation has since been proven to be untrue and resolved. I have waited patiently for the customer to update her erroneous review of my company and the response she received to her issue. However its become clear to me that her intention was to defraud and defame my company from from the outset of her relationship with Wipe Me Down. The customer in question immediately and thoroughly inspected her vehicle after I detailed it and voiced to me that she was not only satisfied but pleased with the work that was performed. She drove her vehicle from one parking lot to another parking area closer to the entrance of the building she came from. I had to meet with the customer again before I left the premises because I discovered that I had not returned to her a cup holder insert. She made no mention of an issue with her door locks then. But later she did mention an issue to which I addressed and discussed with the customer and assumed we were on the same page. The customer agreed with the mechanic's diagnosis that there was no way to pinpoint an exact cause of her issue. We concluded that it would be fair for me to pay half of her expenses since moisture was a possible cause. Side Note:I am a professionally trained detailer who trains other professional detailers. Im sure she did not know this when she accused me of getting moisture in her door locks, but I teach classes on ways to detail thoroughly without harming sensitive electronics. Im insulted because its similar to attributing a rookie's mistake to a battle tested, seasoned veteran. Point being, I did not get moisture in her door locks. The interior of her vehicle was in a state of severe neglect, like the majority of vehicles that require the services of a highly recommended auto detail professional. There were soda, coffee and remnants of a number of other liquid explosions all over the interior. The customer admitted to me that she had just recently purchased the vehicle 'as-is', and had in turn inherited a filthy interior. It is my belief that she too inherited a door lock issue that she pawned off on me. I informed her that I would forward everything to the insurance company in an attempt have them cover the reimbursement. In the event that they did not cover it then I would just reimburse her out of pocket. While awaiting a response from the insurance company, the customer left the Angie's List review. Pretty much as soon as I noticed the review, I sent her $90 in good faith. I communicated with her via email, apologizing that she had experienced an issue at all, expressed to her that I understood her frustration and explained that I was under the impression that we were all on the same page that the process was moving in the right direction and on the way to being completely rectified. We even corresponded a few more times via email talking about family, the holidays and the flu-type illness that had been plaguing Richmond. Fast forward to January 15 when I see that the customer has reported that our transaction was fraudulent and that she had never authorized it. Even if she wants to give me all Fs on my Angie's List review, which she and I know is the furthest thing from the truth, so be it. Thats her opinion and I cant prove anything otherwise. However she has been caught committing credit card fraud by your own employees. She has been proven to say whatever it takes to attempt get what she wants, even if it means committing fraud. Is her word as a reviewer to be given any credit? ~~What I can prove is that I sent and she received $90 from me in reimbursement on December 27, 2015. Is responding to her review my only recourse for dealing with this situation or will Angie's List investigate further. Thanks for your time and understanding in dealing with this matter. Sincerely, Wipe Me Down Mobile Detailing Angie's List Response: Hello, I apologize for the delay. Unfortunately, since the work was completed on this job, there is no way for us to remove the review. The best thing you can do at this time is to reply to the review that was left and reach out to the member to see if she would be willing to change her review since you have worked with her in regards to this issue.
