 + -1 moreI just move to a different part of Richmond and Western transferred my contract and services to my new house without any problems. I have been a customer of theirs for about 7 years and they have always been professional. Their prices are a little higher than other companies. I don't mind paying a little bit more money to have an effective service rather than paying less money for inadequate results. Go with Western if you want quality.

 + -1 moreThey were just fantastic. I never saw any bugs. They were always very respectful in my house and wore the little booties on my carpet so it wouldn't get dirty. Their office reception is very friendly and helpful. They are very courteous and you never talked to anybody with a bad attitude.
Description of Work: I used them for about 10 years for pest control needs on an annual basis. They will come back at any time if you see an insect to respray at no extra cost.

 + -1 moreAfter being stung for the third week by yellow jackets that nested in front yard, we hired Western Pest to take care of the problem. Made an appointment and the service represented came out to review the situations. He was very professional and direct. We discussed the available service options and he allowed me to make with decision without any pressure. Two days later the service tech came out right on time and took care of the problem (plus a couple of other while he was here). Very pleasent experience and we look forward to using them again.

Description of Work: Everyone was very courteous. They called when they realized they weren't going to make it one day but showed up as scheduled the next time. The house was sprayed to prevent termites and to get rid of camelback crickets.

 + -1 moreI contacted Western by phone for a termite inspection. Inspector/salesman was thorough and personable. The treatment was performed about ten days later. The young man who performed the treatment was polite and professional. My only complaint was with his clean-up. His patching of the drilled holes in the garage was rather sloppy. Also the trench he had dug around the house was filled in rather sloppily. In his defense, however, it was an extremely cold day.
Description of Work: Preventative treatment for termites. Trenched around exterior of foundation and around pillars in crawl space and applied termiticide. Drilled through concrete slab in garage and applied termiticide. Installed wooden stakes around perimeter of house to aid in future termite detection.

 + -1 moreI've been very pleased with Western. As I recall, I did find them right on Angie's List too. They really do very thorough work and they seem to be quite responsive to my needs. They will always answer questions and they complete their work in a time efficient manner, I would have to say.
Description of Work: We had our entire house of more than 1400 square feet, and its perimeter sprayed by Western for all bugs. We pay for this service yearly and they come out quarterly and needed to spray.

 + -1 moreKudos to Western and their representatives! They are an outstanding organization, and I have no hesitation to recommend them highly. Although this was my first experience with them in Virginia, I had used their firm in Maryland for more than 25 years (at 3 different homes) - it was a pleasure to find the branch in Richmond equally impressive.
Description of Work: NOTE: Because I purchased a year-long service contract, there was no charge for this project. I recently moved and discovered some tiny ants on the floor and almost microscopic bugs on one wall. On the first visit, I was advised that my uninvited guests were sidewalk ants and clover mites. Western's representative answered all of my questions regarding safety of their products and assured me there was neither danger to my pets nor impact on the environment. An appointment was made for the technicians to complete the job; they were as professional and helpful as the initial specialist and did a thorough inspection of my entire home. I gladly signed a contract for a year's service.

I just wanted to save a little bit more money by getting a better payment plan that I could not get with these guys. However, the workers and the responsiveness of the company were great. They did do their job correctly and I would still recommend them to people. I probably would use them again if they would just lower their prices and offer some kind of payments to me.
