The bid process was very lengthy. We had a hard time getting a bid that matched our budget. Once we had financing, they started the project promptly. They progressed fairly quickly on the addition part of the job. We added the kitchen remodel since we had to move out of the house anyway. They constantly asked for payments greater than agreed. They lied to us about paying the kitchen contractor - telling us he was demanding advance payment when he had not been paid for what had been delivered. They got distributions from the bank based on the cabinets etc. being delivered and did not pay the sub for them. They installed a cracked molding around the front door. After a year of complaining they removed it and have never installed a replacement. They flooded the basement at least three times with plumbing leaks and dripped plumbing joint sealer on a new carpet. They told us they would take care of it and refused after they received the final bank payment. They installed mismatched tiles in the kitchen and have refused to fix it. They constructed his and her closets in the master bedroom - the his closet is not deep enough to hang blazers or suit without crushing them. I have spent $1,000 correcting problems with the roofing/gutters they installed. They left construction debris all over the back yard. I filled up three large trash cans with sharp scrap metal, nails etc. They used scrap materials from my house and yard in the construction. The upstairs HVAC they installed can not cool properly when the temperature goes over 90 degrees. The front porch was improperly installed and collects water. I told them repeatedly that the house was not connected to the gas line and that it need to be addressed well in advance. They did not so they had to temporarily hook up a propane tank. When the stove was finally converted to natural gas, they never got the burners working correctly and have refused to address the problem.
