University Painters - Vince DiMarino Richmond

Was happily told yes, and then never heard any more about it or saw Vince (or any supervisor) at my house again. Within less than a year every window That had been glazed had that new glaze developing black mold. I got in touch with Vince, he told me it was normal, that my house must be overly moist (it's not, and the mold or whatever is in direct sunlight) and that he'd stop by to see, then follow up. Never heard back from him.

University Painters was terrific. The owner, Vince, was professional, straight-forward and responsive. His crew was consistent through the two-week job, always pleasant, open to input, and thorough in their work. We'll definitely use them again, the next time we have painting needs. **I have to update this posting. We initially gave UP all As because we were very pleased with the paint job. However, now that the weather has turned warm, we discovered they had painted many of our windows shut. We love enjoying the warm air so this really affects our family. After unsuccessfully trying to un-stick the windows ourselves -- and being afraid of getting more aggressive lest we damage the paint -- I contacted UP to ask if they could unstick the windows, since they should not have been painted shut in the first place. They declined, and told us to try the things we already had, which didn't work. They also disconnected our back flood lights to paint under them, and they haven't worked since.

Excellent service and price. Vince was great to work with. His crew showed up exactly on time early morning, worked hard all day finishing all painting that evening,very polite, and cleaned up afterward. Great attention to detail and excellent quality work. These guys are an anomaly among painters, I would highly recommend.

It had snowed the night before. Painters were due 8:00-8:30. Nobody showed and I could not get in touch with anybody to see if they were coming or not. One painter showed up about 10:30 and then Vince called back to say they were on the way. Three painters showed up and started painting about 11:00. They did finish the job in one day. The drop clothes they used were very dirty and dusty creating a big mess that had to be cleaned. Once they got started they did not stop until they were done. They did a great job painting and were courteous and respectful of my home. The price was one of the lower offers and I feel I got more then my money's worth. If it were not for the snow the job would have gone a lot smoother. I would use them again.
