The Original Mattress Factory - Richmond

I called to ask about getting a custom mattress done. As I am nursing a broken foot, I asked if it was possible for someone from the company to come out and do measurements. The person with whom I spoke said he would call me back, he never did.

They were really good and I would recommend them! They were very patient and helpful in assisting me with finding what I needed. Janet was excellent! They were great with financing as well and even have a delivery options. They've got a good warranty plan as well.

We almost purchased a mattress here, because the salesman was very informative and did not pressure us. We ended up keeping our current mattress for now.

We went to the West Broad store. Steve was great. He answered all our questions and let us make the choice. There was absolutely no pressure. He wrote down the information on what we were interested in and gave us the final price. We left and shopped around (where we got a lot of pressure) and then called back to tell Steve what we wanted. They only had one in stock and they held it for us until we had a truck to pick it up. When we got there we paid and got exactly what we wanted. Our daughter is very happy with her new mattress and she really appreciated how respectful Steve was towards her, understanding that it was her decision and a personal preference. He gave her time to try everything and never told her what she should like.

Shopping for a new mattress at The Original Mattress Factory is easy and without pressure. We've bought from them twice and each time the sales person was low key, informative, and applied no pressure. Basically, the product sells itself and the salesman mainly just gives you information about their products and differences between other brands. We tried several mattresses and finally selected the one we liked the best. As we lay down on each mattress, he would tell us which one was more or less firm and why. The delivery was arranged and the men showed up right on time. The delivery men were prompt, very courteous, and quickly brought in the new products, installed the extra leg on our old frame, moved our old mattress and removed a no longer needed one. The whole process at our house had to take place in less than 20 minutes, maybe even less. While I don't expect to buy another bed anytime soon, I know where I'll go.

Very knowledgeable sales person who gave a very detailed primer on "mattresses." Decided on a model based on how comfortable it felt to us. Bought it. Had it delivered. A very comfortable bed. They will send you flip and turn reminders because the mattress is made with both sides as sleeping surfaces. Didn't know mattress manufacturers were moving away from the two sides mattress!

He took time to ask questions and make sure that he understood exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this company if you have an antique bed that requires a "classic" mattress, which is a smidge smaller than a standard double. I was further pleased to learn that the mattress I ordered through this company was over $100.00 less expensive than a standard double bed mattress from a chain store, and their delivery charge was significantly lower as well. The mattress arrived punctually on the delivery date, the delivery men were courteous and friendly, and the mattress is comparable in quality to the Sealy that I almost purchased from another dealer.
