Pella Windows & Doors

For 3 of my window sashes, I was upsold the hidden screens. One of these windows was impossible for me to close immediately, and another on was difficult to close. A service tech was sent out to examine these hidden screens, (Event Number 230525-002699) and he was able to force the one closed by deforming the vinyl of the window and scratching the latch, and I never heard anything back about it. I had to order a replacement regular screen, at my own expense. I then received an email from you to schedule further service at a time four months after the original complaint, and I replied that I had ordered a replacement for the one screen at my own expense, and that if you were just going to send someone out to examine them and do nothing, not to bother. I then received a phone message from Brendan saying that since I “basically resolved the issue that you already had with the screen” that he was closing out the case. Now another one of the hidden screens is dropping upon opening and does not connect at the bottom of the screen, so I have to replace that as well, at my own expense, because your warrantee is worthless. When I tried to file a complaint at BBB, I was unable to because the zip code, 23233, listed on the contract is invalid. I also tried a neighboring zip code, 23294. That was also listed as in valid.

The sales rep. was very knowledgeable and recommended the perfect windows and patio door for our house. The price was about 1/4 of the cost quoted by a competitor for similar quality windows. Instalation was delayed 1 day due to the fact that our windows did not arrive from the manufacturer in time. The installers were very professional and completed the installation very quickly. We definitely would recommend Pella to anyone looking for replacement windiws.

Badly. The windows themselves are fine but the installation was poor. The installation of the interior trim left pieces misaligned and not sanded. Also, the window stools had (and still have) gouges. The installer had to return to correct the errors and a painter had to return also to correct various painting defects. The installer told us that the old windows would be removed without damaging the wall paint. This was not the case as there were multiple instances where the paint was damaged. This resulted in touch-up painting that does not exactly match the existing wall paint.

Excellent job, very professional. Looks great, wonderful product. You get what you pay for.

Perfectly, they were on time, work was done professionally, and they cleaned up everything before leaving. Very nice.

We are very happy with those windows. We did 6 windows and they cleaned up after themselves. The installation went well and we like the sales person. They were professional and I think they were a little bit pricey.

They were fabulous. They had some custom made windows and they did some good work for us. My experience was great. The people were wonderful, came on time, did quality work and my windows look wonderful. They were expensive.

We actually got 8 estimates from 8 different window places within our area. We were impressed with the Pella product, warranty, and the knowledgeable representative they sent to our house. It was easy to finance with them, their work team was prompt, clean, and did a fantastic job.

When searching for a door and window replacement company, it was somewhat frustrating because we visited the local Pella store three times (during advertised store hours) to find the store closed. We eventually responded to a mailer and a rep visited our house with product samples, information and expert advice. From then on, everything went as promised. They were punctual, professional and courteous. The window replacement was especially well-done...21 windows in about 6-hours of work. We had zero complaints with the window work except a few manufacturing flaws which were corrected immediately to our satisfaction. The door work took three visits due to workers arriving without all required materials, but again they were courteous and professional. We are completely happy with the final products and service from Pella.

Our installation went very well. We had a lot of questions and went through a few changes in the quotation process. The quotations and questions were met with promptness and professionalism. The actual installation was on on time and as promised. They did a very nice job of cleaning up afterwards. A few months later, we noticed a hairline crack in one of the panes. It was replaced immediately under our warranty. We were very happy and highly recommend.

Very well, work was completed in one day. Expensive but worth it we think.

They are very nice and wonderful to deal with. They did the install very quickly. They came back on a second occasion to replace a few other windows for us. The windows are top of the line, easy to clean and use and they look great.

We picked out the door; they made it and installed it a few weeks later. The installers had worked at our house before we purchased it so they were familiar with our home. They did a wonderful job with the installation.

I liked the design of the windows because they closely matched what they were replacing.

I enjoyed working with the front office who got everything set up. The installers where very nice but they do need to improve their clean up. I found a lot of nails afterward, I called them and they came back out and cleaned everything up.

In the past they have fixed locks on doors for me, realigned the door and installed doors. I like using their service because they are professional. They are responsive and willing to listen to any needs I have.

I disliked that they had a sub-contractor come in for the installation. He arrived with the door in the back of a pick up truck not even a delivery truck. The sub-contractor damaged the door during the installation. They brought in a finish to touch it up but tried to blame the incident on me.

They send out different teams to put the windows in, this particular team was really precise and did a great job. They provide a quality service.

They did a good job. They did the job on time and did it very well.

I did however, replace six windows at my daughter’s house in Richmond with Pella. They did a great job and we love the windows. We have been happy with our experiences.

One of the new windows was installed incorrectly. A different technician came out to fix it a few days later and did not really know what he was doing. The original installer came back and installed a whole new window for me. Overall, they did a good job.

They were great. He was really nice. I have no issues with him or whatever but it's just that the price is too high for the value of the house.

It’s a well-known brand and I know what they are. It was between them and the other company. It just came down to who would sound comfortable as a sales person. I had a broken window which is from Pella. The deal I told was if they are going to do one door, prove to me that they are going to coordinate to help me fix the window while they do the door. They were unable to make that happen. They installed the door. I love the door and it was great. I want to do the same exact thing with the other company. I am probably going to go with the other company next because they came up short. I would recommend them to other members.
