Mr. Fields was very responsive to my need tor a quick report as I had put a contract to buy the house in question. He ruled out the structural concerns, but found the subtle problem related to dampness in the basement. As a result of his inspection, I decided not to proceed with the purchase. The structural engineer has been very down to earth and yet also very detail oriented while working with me as a homeowner. He offered to be present during the demolition stage of a wall in case of any structural integrity questions. He will help verify that the wall indeed is not weight bearing.
