I had made one contact with Mr. Dana in July 2020 after purchasing 4 hour handyman deal offered thru Angie’s list . He was very nice and i was looking forward to work with him. We were to connect in September as he was busy during the summer. However, i called-multiple times these past 3 months using the phone number provided on Angie’s list and another number he gave me trying to reach him but all goes to VM and i have yet to receive a call back. I began to think the he may not be in buisness any longer, however I see that North Hill construction is still active on Angie’s list with the same deals with a recent reviews in 11/2020. Very disappointing

I contacted Dana for a separate project and asked him about painting on his way out, he gave me a quick estimate and we set something up for a few weeks out. He did a fantastic job repairing the drywall where it was cracking and damaged. I had chosen a paint color that did not go well with my flooring and we only realized after he had already put some of it on the wall. He offered to accompany me to Lowe's to find a better color, since I did not know much about color matching, which I feel went above and beyond the job he was hired for. We tried out some samples and he returned the next day to finish the job. He has a meticulous attention to detail and I am very pleased with the finished project. I will absolutely hire again for any other painting or carpentry jobs I need done.

Outstanding. Called in the evening. Mr. Joseph arrived promptly and fixed the door latch for a very reasonable price. We had been unable to get into my mom’s laundry room, and needed to get out clothes out before leaving town. I highly recommend!

North Hill Construction was able to fit us in extremely fast due to the pretty quick / minor repairs we needed performed. The work was performed quickly and he was also very communicative throughout the process to let us know what he was doing, and provide excellent explanations. He is passionate about old homes, and my wife and I definitely feel like we have found our go-to handyman for all of our needs!

I needed some serious repairs done on a rental property and could only manage the work remotely. Dana was the first to respond and his quote was thorough, itemized and reasonable for the work I needed and a referral for the work he wasn't able to complete. He handled scheduling with my tenants and was regularly in touch with photos of the repairs in progress. He knew my house better than I did and made period-appropriate material suggestions that were higher quality at the same or even lower cost than replacing plaster with drywall or plank subfloor with plywood. And to top it all off, he provided a temporary installation of my new water heater so the tenants would not be without hot water while he repaired the rotted floor underneath. I will absolutely hire him the next time I need work in Richmond.

He knows plaster and recommended repair instead of replacing with sheetrock and it came out great. Nice guy and texted me about progress being made...good communication.

So pleased that we hired Dana Joseph on Angie's List! He was punctual, courteous, and displayed excellent communication skills. He's a creative and excellent problem solver. In addition to being very customer focused, he is also very fair in his pricing. He and his coworkers did an excellent job. Must add, too, that Dana tidied up the workspace before leaving our home. We're planning another project and look forward to having him back.

My husband and I hired Dana after the contractor we originally hired disappeared with our deposit. Needless to say, we had little trust in contractors after that! We immediately felt as if we could trust Dana as soon as we met him. He was able to start the job quickly and arrived on time. Dana even met me at Lowe's prior to starting the job when there was an issue delivering the sink. His communication prior to and throughout the job was outstanding. We encountered numerous issues throughout the project (mostly related to the materials we ordered prior to hiring Dana). Dana communicated all these issues while I was at work and came up with some creative cost-saving solutions. He had high expectations for the quality of his work and made sure to clean up at the end of the day. On top of it all, Dana had a cheerful, positive attitude that was very much appreciated. We will definitely be hiring him again!

Great service! Was in a desperate spot-8 months pregnant and part of the ceiling decided to cave. Dana came right away, brought in help to get it done quickly, and even finished the job when we had to be out of the house because I delivered early. Knows his stuff when it comes to older homes!

I was very happy with the work. After putting in new backsplash, we had an unsightly gap between the bottom of our cabinets and the top of the tile. The trim that was put in was custom cut and stained to look like it was part of the original cabinets. Very happy with this work and will work with North Hill Construction again.

I thought the job was going to be huge and expensive. Dana found a way to take care of the problem without a huge overhaul of the framing. He did a great job and the door now has a great seal...no draft. It was important to him that I understood what he was doing and that I was pleased with the outcome. Recommend without reservation.

He came out multiple times to install things, as they arrived and always gave me recommendations and options, for the best possible outcome. He also kept me updated on the job and his progress, so I had a good piece of mind. Will hire again, on my next home improvement project!

Dana provided us with excellent service. Not only does the new shower door look awesome, thanks to Dana we have confidence that it is installed correctly. When he began the install he determined that the wall studs were not located where needed in order to support the heavy, glass, hinged door. Dana removed sheetrock and shored-up the wall interior with additional supports to ensure the shower door was properly supported. He also replaced the sheetrock and it looks perfect. The shower door functions well and looks great. Awesome work at a very reasonable price.
