Went well, some discrepancy concerning one or two coats. We held them to the one coat price and management agreed.

The painters did a great job preparing and painting all our exterior trim, doors, columns, and porch railings. We are satisfied with the quality of work and the professionalism of everyone at N. Chasen and Son. We will use them again, and would recommend N. Chasen and Son to anyone.

Enough good things cannot be said about N. Chasen & Son. Having been homeowners for 44 years, we have seldom run across a more professional company. Their painters are skilled, quiet, and so careful doing our project that we could only find one small paint drip on a glass surface. From our perspective, it just doesn't come any better.

carpentry was EXCELLENT! No complaints about the power washing and the painting. we had some issues with the deck staining but the owner provided good customer service about it. we would definitely consider hiring them again for carpentry and painting.

Their response was prompt. A time for an estimate was set and kept promptly. Representative was professional and pleasant. We received an estimate that night. The price was within range of other estimates we received and we decided to hire them. We were given a choice of dates to perform the job. We chose a date in January because of a price discount. Since that date has not come up yet, the work has not yet been done so we can't rate the quality of work.

Outstanding repairs - better than I expected. Would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone.

Service was excellent. We had previously used N Chasen at another home and have always had a great experience. They are great to work with.

He was on time, which is about the only thing that went well. He was friendly enough while he was here but his attitude was basically, "I don't know why you'd want to fix this, it's all cosmetic, it's not going to be perfect when we're finished and it's going to crack again." Which I found off-putting but figured maybe he was just talking to me like I was stupid. He promised to have the quote to me the same day and it took nearly a week, several emails and a call in order to get the quote. I shouldn't have to chase down your business for you. When the quote arrived, it was emailed to me by the receptionist with no message other than "Your quote is attached". No - "sorry this is so late", no "we look forward to working with you"... none of the usual good customer service stuff. Again, off-putting. Needless to say the chilly reception I received left me doubting the quality of work they would provide given Jason's attitude when he was in my home. I would not recommend or use them based on my limited experience. Update: The (somewhat combative and lacking in "customer is always right" attitude) reply from the company tells you everything you need to know about working with them.

I ordered it in April but it was not delivered until July. I was supposed to receive it within 3 weeks but that was not the case. It is a beautiful door. I did have a problem with the door not closing properly and they came out right away and fixed it. Their service people are excellent.

They were very nice and punctual. The carpenters were excellent but the painters had some issues. One was new and the other was irritated that the new guy was not fast enough. Also, they put some special paint on my front door so that it would not mold, and it molded within a few months. Paid a lot of money and did not feel I got my moneys worth.

Great. I thought the work was pricey but the quality and professionalism was terrific. Came when they said they would. When first repair was not satisfactory came back with-no argument and did more work until it was right at no charge. Stood behind their work and we're incredibly professional. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

They were actually very good company, they did a really good job. Their professionalism was great, I can even remember the names of the guys who cam, it was Carlos and Felix and they were just great great, they even personalized my fireplace on the spot when I was just asking them to change the colors, they did great, I can't complain. They're here when they say they're gonna be here, the prices were reasonable, and they even offered me a lower price.

They were here 6 days. They helped me choose 2 different colors, one for the ceiling and one for the back of the bookshelves. The work was meticulous. They cleaned up when they left. The price was a little higher than the other estimates I got but they fixed the cracks in the walls and ceilings. Other painters told me I'd have to hire someone else to do that. So, all in all, it was probably as much as it would have been if I had used a less expensive painter and hired a drywall person.

They did a great job. At that time I didn't live here so I couldn't supervise the work and although my husband dropped by a couple of times, we didn't have to come in and remind them a thing. They did a real professional job with no one here.

I'm disappointed. Chasen has such a great reputation. I contacted them for an estimate to paint a two-story living room. I needed two estimates: one for a standard paint job of three remaining walls to match an existing wall, the second was a separate quote for adding a custom design (hand painted words) on one wall. Jerami was very nice, punctual and professional. He seemed hesitant about the custom quote (I understand this is an unusual request). He said I should receive an email quote by Monday, but that if I didn't hear back in a week or so to contact him (which struck me as odd...it's standard procedure for companies to provide a written response without the customer having to remind/follow up). I never heard back on either estimate. I could call them, I just haven't decided if I want to follow up with them or go with another painter I've used before. 10/30/14 Response to company reply: Jeff, thank you for replying. There is definitely some confusion. You say Jeremi called but I have no record of that and was waiting anxiously for a quote. Even if he did and the cost for the special project was high, why did he not provide the basic painting quote I asked for? I never received anything at all. Next time I will follow up with a call myself, though. Thanks, again.

Two different crews one for painting/repair and one for paper hanging. Both crews were very professional. On time, came when they said, and cleaned after them selves. I have hired them for another project in early 2014.

They were very through and professional. Upon discovering an additional problem they came back a da later to fix that as well.

They showed up on time, repaired the damage perfectly, and cleaned up after themselves.

The estimate was detailed and thorough. The work was excellent quality. The workmen and painters were courteous and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves as well. We were pleased with everything.
