Moxie Movers did a great move with my job. I had them move my furniture and some heavy boxes. They were good at communicating what time they would start and they finished within the estimated time. They took good care of my furniture, even my antiques. All of the guys were nice and easy to deal with. I would definitely use them again.

I't didn't go at all. They scheduled me twice to give me an estimate to move me and both times cancelled on me moments before we were scheduled to meet. When I expressed concern, the response I was given was, "I don't think we are a match" and then I was hung up on by the owner of the company. If the owner was that rude and unprofessional I really feel that the service would have been just as shabby. I could never recommend this company for any move no matter how big or small.

I've used Moxie Movers for 3 separate moves and all have gone without a hitch. The team is courteous, friendly, and very time efficient. Scheduling is simple, and the movers are very conscientious handling furniture, boxes, etc. with care. During one of my moves, I required an additional stop from my apartment to a storage facility, and then to the final destination. This was easily coordinated with the moving team. Prices are very fair; rates are pro-rated by the quarter hour once you surpass the minimum time of 2 hours per move.

The crew that Jesse sent did a stellar job. It was 100 degrees on the day of my move and the crew remained courteous, hardworking and careful. They were true professionals in every sense of the word. Worth every penny that I paid. And it was A LOT of stuff that they moved.

We would 100% recommend Moxie Movers. My wife and I have moved numerous times over the past 10 years and we did a lot of research before choosing a company in Richmond. Jesse, the owner, really took time to answer all of our questions. His crew of three (Joel, Brandon, and Patrick) completely moved us from our old place to our new place in a little over 6 hours. For perspective, we have about 1800 sq ft of items, plus outdoor furniture and storage items. The day before the move, we had some concerns because of the constant rain predicted for the day. Jesse really helped talk through our concerns and explained how the movers would handle the weather. We only had one small glitch the morning of the move. We were scheduled for a crew of 4 movers, but one person got sick that morning. When Jesse called to keep us informed, he apologized and offered to honor our original time quote of 8 hours if the move took longer due to the smaller crew. We were worried, but this crew knocked it out of the park. They were fast, but careful with our furniture. They made sure to place items where we wanted and kept the process organized. And on top of all that, they had wonderful, positive attitudes through the entire day. We would absolutely hire Moxie again without hesitation. My wife is organized and the guys mentioned that her prep really saved us time. She had boxes and rooms at the new house labeled. We also took care of the disassembly/assembly of the bed and a couple of other furniture items, to help save time. All of this prep was a true cost saving for us and also helped the moving crew be more efficient in loading the truck. We would use Moxie Movers again and have already recommended them to two friends. My last shameless plug is to be sure to tip your moving crew, especially when they work as hard as this crew did.

My wife had been given a verbal quote within the past week for a local move with this business. I just called the owner and requested a written quote for what he gave verbally. After all, this a standard business practice and for what should be obvious reasons. The owner informed me that he did not operate this way. He then asked if this was comparing other moving companies. His demeanor quickly turned both short and defensive. He reiterated that he does not, and would not provide a written quote and that his method of business is verbal and about "trust." I told his that this needs to be a matter of business, not trust and that I had never heard of a business that refused to provide some type of estimate and/or contract (proposed) that defines the terms and conditions (at least on a basic level). He hung up the phone after raising his voice and rolling over the conversation for a few minutes while not allowing me to speak and further.

Fours guys and a truck showed up on time and loaded everything, wrapped as they went and got us moved (undamaged!) to our new house. They were nice and efficient; no one was standing around or had to be reminded why they were there. Fully loaded before lunch in about 4 hours and emptied the truck in just an hour and a half. It was impressive!

Everything went very well, no complaints whatsoever. They arrived on time and didn't stop until until all the furniture and boxes were in their place. They set up all the beds and assembled the dining room table and hutch. They worked well together and never complained. They were awesome!

Moxie movers are THE best. We've used them to move our house in Powhatan and this time to move furniture and boxes at my office. They are the hardest group of workers that I've ever seen. I am using them again to move another office's furniture into our space on 2/29. Would totally recommend them to anyone with a need for strong, hardworking guys!

This is the second time we have used Moxie Movers and I would use them again today. What a great group of guys. For this move we used them to move us from the suburbs and into the city. The house in the city that we bought was built in the 40's and has some intereresting architecture that made moving larger peices difficult, specifically curved stairs going upstairs and down to the basement. These guys did not even touch a wall! I would watch them holding a large peice to go up the stairs talking to eah other saying "one inch up, 2 inches to the left" it was like choreography. They even got (what we asuumed to be impossible) our deep freeze down to the basement. I highly recommend Moxy Movers!

vaMoxie Movers is a great moving service. I have used them several times over the years, and they have always provided professional, capable, fast, quality service with friendliness and a smile. Everything was safely moved and the job was completed in a reasonable time frame. Their fee is well presented up front, and there are no hidden costs. The team, consisting of Joel, Brandon, and Keef were polite, friendly, capable (and strong), and took good care of our furnishings. Great guys, great company.

I have never had a good experience with a mover but Moxie Movers was fantastic and so easy to work with. I asked for a crew of 4 and they sent 5. They all had a good rapport with each other and were friendly and easy to be around. They were efficient, polite, took great care of my stuff and never complained about how heavy or large an item was. I would highly recommend this company. I wish more companies were like Moxie.

We were very impressed with the professionalism and maturity of these movers. Rob, Will, and KC were quite pleasant to have around all day. They were very quick and hard workers and went the extra mile for us. I would say we'd hire them again, but we don't want to move ever again! I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

A three-person crew called 20 minutes before appointment time to give us a head's up that they were on their way. They arrived exactly on time. After a brief tour of what to move and what not to move the crew worked non-stop for four hours to load their truck. With the exception of drinking water, they carried three boxes as a time, disassembled furniture and treadmill, and wasted no time. On their way to our new house, they stopped for a 30-minute lunch break. They arrived at our new house re-charged and showed the same energy, professionalism, and courtesy as before lunch. All items were moved into their right spot, and if they were uncertain where something went, they always asked. Including the 30-minute break and travel time, the move took 8.25 hours. Will definitely recommend and hire again.

Setting up the appointment with Jesse was easy and he was very responsive to my questions. I would have given them much higher marks except they were about 4 hours late and there were only 3 people instead of the 4 I thought we had agreed on. Jesse did meet the crew to help unload the truck. They had another job earlier in the day that ran longer than expected. I thought they would be there before 1-2, they didn't get there until 6 PM and weren't finished until close to midnight. All of the crew were very nice, worked hard, handled the furniture and boxes well. I would certainly recommend them in regards to price, professionalism and quality of work, but they were late and short a man.

They were fantastic. Jesse does all of his own work, no subcontractors. It is a small business working out of Richmond.

Initial contact was via cell phone, then via email. We packed ourselves. The day we were to move there was a torrential downpour and we have to reschedule. The guys worked on that Sunday to get us moved (their day off!). They showed up on time, moved us faster than predicted, and then we took them out to lunch and picked their brains for future moving tips. They worked hard, quickly, and I never saw one person standing around while others worked. Efficient. No damages. We would definitely use them again. I can't remember exactly what they charged but it was far less than any other estimate we got. The owner explained his pricing philosophy - I'm sure you can get it if you ask as well. I can't remember the exact price so the price I put is an estimate. We've been hear a year and I refer people to them often - I figured I should make an official review :-)

Everything went very well. Quote and prices are reasonable. They offer competitive pricing. No large trip charge. We started out a little late which was due to a previous appointment that ran a little long, but they called me to give me the heads up. The guys worked hard for 2.25 hours and they unloaded a 26 foot truck packed to the brim with boxes, and heavy furniture. Into a 3 story, 2500 ft2 house. The boxes were large and heavy and I was very impressed that they were constantly taking more than one at a time. They worked at a quick pace the entire time. We had everything labeled to show what room to take the boxes and furniture to, and everything ended up where it needed to be. Nothing was damaged. No complaints. The 3 guys were very courteous and respectful of all our belongings. We will recommend them to anyone.

Highly inaccurate estimates. They charged me $250 more. Jesse and his crew are not on the same page. They never came to my apt to check and provide an estimate. Instead gave an estimate on phone and after the move their crew charged us much higher than estimate. We were told a 2 bedroom apt move usually takes upto 4 hours. The movers moved at their own snail pace and ended up charging us almost 2 hours extra. Also damaged a doorway in our new home

They gave great packing instructions on their website and were great to work with. I love dealing through emails so the correspondence with them was easy!! I will be using them again when moving belongings out of storage and into new house!!

They took great care with the belongings, set up to bed, and plugged in the lamps. And my dog thought they were the nicest guys ever!
