This company was hired by Comcast after they cut through my irrigation system during an install. They came out and told us the system was repaired but it was past the end of season so the system was turned off. When spring came we tried to start the system but it was not functional. I reached back out to the company to correct the repair, after 2 trips out they were able to correct the situation and we thought all was well. At this point we got a bill for the services from the warranty repair. We talked to the company several times, on 2 separate occasions they told us the head of the Richmond office would call us to discuss our situation. The Richmond office superviser never called. We called and talked to numerous people but they refused to correct the billing. They stated that because they had not documented the situation as a warranty repair we were liable to pay for the repair, they then stated that the problem could not have been caused by Comcast when they came back out so we were liable for the repair that it was another core problem with the system. My system was brand new and still under warranty from the original installer but they explained that because they had not documented this a warranty repair they just fixed what they found. We have called numerous times, escalated to everyone who would listen, tried to talk to area supervisor who we were told would call us on 2 separate occasions but never did. I eventually paid the bill because they were charging us interest but I would never recommend this company under any situation.

Response from Montgomery Irrigation
On 12/01/2011 OCS asked us to visit the member’s home to repair a wire they had cut. While we were there we also had to clean out valve number 4 due to debris that had entered the valve from some work OCS had done. We billed OCS for this work. On 4/20/2012 the member called us about a zone not running. We visited his home on 5/2/2012 and located and replaced a valve, valve number 2, not working that needed to be replaced. This work had nothing to do with the work OCS had done the year prior. We billed the member for this work. On 5/29/2012, almost a month later, the member called and disputed the charges for the 5/2/2012 visit and at the same time told us valve number 4 was not working and asked us to make a return visit to his home to look at valve number 4. We reiterated to him on that day that the 5/2/2012 visit was a valid bill and that he was responsible to pay it. The member again disagreed. We also scheduled a return visit on 6/1/2012 to determine the issue with valve number 4. Our office manager at that time contacted the Richmond Branch manager who spoke to the technician that visited the member’s home and the technician reiterated that it was unrelated to previous work. On 5/30/20123 our office manager called the member again and told him what the Richmond Manager had said. The member still disagreed. When we visited the member’s home on 6/1/2012 we found a small piece of trash located under the solenoid for valve number 4 and even though this was several months later, and there was no way to determine if this was in any way related to the work from OCS is 2011, and normally this would be billable, we covered the call under warranty and did not bill the member. As of 7-18-2012 the member has not paid the invoice in question from 5/2/2012. We did indeed warranty the only repair that potentially could have been related to the work by OCS. Montgomery Irrigation has shown willingness to work with the member by 1. Covering a repair on 6/1/2012 under warranty when there was no way to know for sure if it related in any way to previous work, and more than likely did not relate. Remember zone 4 was not an issue on 5/2/2012 and had it been related to the work in 2011 it should have surfaced immediately upon the member starting his irrigation system for the year and 2. By scheduling a return visit with the member even though we had not been paid for a previous visit that was almost 30 days prior. The member did not even bring up a concern with the invoice for almost 30 days. Montgomery Irrigation takes pride in the customer service it delivers to clients and routinely covers items under warranty if there is any question that it could possibly be warranty. Montgomery Irrigation however does not feel that it should warrant something that the company has never before worked on.
