Description of Work: Installed a replacement water line from the meter at the front of the house to the house.

Description of Work: Installed outlet in kitchen island and replaced all circuit breakers that were over 25 years old and were making noise. I sent a request for a price online on a Sunday morning and within 15 minutes I received a call saying they could send out someone in a couple of hours to give me a price quote and could perform the service if I liked the quote. The electrician was professional and thoroughly cleaned up after he finished.

Description of Work: Serviced the Central Air Conditioner. The first service person was condescending and short with us. They had to wait for the unit to thaw before they could assess issue. The 2nd serviceman was professional and explained what needed to be done and then completed the service successfully. The first serviceman needed some customer service training and some education on how to treat women customers. He was just rude.

Description of Work: He wired my breaker box so that a portable generator can be plugged in outside the house. I liked the system he used that did not require that a separate box be mounted in the dining room. He mounted the transfer switch (transfer between generator and Dominion power) in the existing panel so that only one power source can be connected at a time. He also installed one new dedicated circuit and whole house surge protection. I think the electrician did a great job.

Description of Work: I understand from the property manager that they could not complete all of the specified items on the list because of a faulty compressor at the location.

Description of Work: We had a fairly major plumbing leak on a Saturday and we called Michael & Sons because they are the biggest and they would have people working on Saturday. They gave us a 4 hour window that a tech would show up and he never showed up. We had to reschedule for the next Tuesday, as they could not accommodate on Sunday, and they again gave us a 4 hour window, 2-6pm Tuesday and the guy doesn't show up until 8:30pm. Our babysitter sent him home and we had another group do the work. This is my first negative review on Angies list but I feel they earned it.

Michael & Son did some wiring for me in the My recent job from Michael & Son was a check on my AC as one part of my annual contract. I renewed my contract for the coming year.

Description of Work: Called to have a plumber clear a clogged garbage disposal; the rep asked us if we would like to have him install a sturdier, professional- level model. We agreed, and the new disposal is everything we expected, although I think the installed price was a bit high.

Description of Work: Had electrical problem in cloths closet ( sparks). Issue was with old inlet wires . Called in around noon. Got call back within the hour ..said he was in the area would stop by when he finished current job. Got there around four pm made a suggestion that I may want to install a flouresent fixture which would give better lighting, he could go to Loews get fixture..finish the job today ( Friday late afternoon). This he did ..new light was well worth it. Very impresssed with the response , professionalism and thouughness in completing the job that day.

Description of Work: I called Michael & Son for an estimate to replace a broken AC unit. They came out fast and were very polite and professional.
