Their service was great. They were very thorough and professional. They kept us informed of the process the whole way. We were very pleased.

It went well. Pricing seemed high, but I felt like I was stuck at that point. Service tech was efficient. Repair has held up.

They did a good job. They were very professional. When the came into my house, they covered their shoes. I am in the home care, so I didn’t have to pay for their service, but I paid for the item. They were quick and on time. They are coming back again in a few days.

This company does electrical work as well as plumbing. They were on a professional level but I think they charge too much just to snake out a drain. I would use them again in the future if I did not have any choice.

They did an excellent job with everything. They were very professional about their work. We called them, and they came right out the next morning. They made sure that they were on time. They were very good about keeping us informed about what was happening. We are very satisfied with what they did. They did a clean inspection and did some repairs to some plumbing to put it in compliance with code. We had had some other people replace a water heater and it did not have proper valves on it. They showed us the code where it should have had the valve and different items like that. We were very impressed with that. As far as price, they are not expensive. We would definitely call them back.

The weekend before I moved in to my new house, my a/c stopped working! It was about 7pm on a Friday night and I just KNEW I was not going to get any help until next week. That was when I saw online that Michael & Son was open until 9pm! I called immediately and the operator answered, as friendly as could be, and went to work trying to fit me in that night. Unfortunately, there were no more openings for that evening, but she fit me in for an appointment first thing Saturday morning. And it was---Robert (the serviceman) had a cancelation and came out really early! I turned out that my electrical panel had fried (I'm pretty sure I did that installing my new outside light...). Robert was able to order me one and have it for me within days; in the meantime, he hooked it up for me so I would have a/c and not roast while waiting for the proper part. While he was there, he did a courtesy inspection and found that a part on my air handler unit was going bad (leaking freon and rusted---all around gross). He replaced that and installed a new digital thermostat, which I LOVE. I signed a service plan contract, because I feel that it's worth the money. I don't have to pay the service call charge, they make room for me if I call with a problem, and I get 10% off their electrical and plumbing services. From start to finish, every employee I have had contact with (this time and all subsequent times) has been polite, friendly, and professional. Could I have gotten the parts cheaper? Probably. But the peace of mind that comes with working with this company FAR surpasses a few dollars saved.

We noticed a water mark on the ceiling in our family room. We called Michael & Son and they were very friendly and came out that afternoon. They did inform me that they charge by the job and not the hour. I thought that might be good as I won't pay someone for an hour and they work 10 minutes. The gentlemen showed up and took one look at the toilet in the master bedroom and explained that he would need to reset the toilet He then recommended we just replace the toilet for about $600. We didn't want to do that since the house if only 8 years old. He then said to fix it would be $326. In hindsight I should have said no and sent him on his way, however since it had been leaking enough to cause a watermark on the ceiling I had them go ahead and fix it. It took him all of about 15 minutes to complet the job. The company if very professional and did a good job, however I just feel there pricing is ridiculous. I will not use this company again.

This was my first time I was using them. I think they were ok. In terms of price, I guess it was a fair price. In terms of quality of work, it was fair. I might use their services again in the future.

They were really good, professional and upfront with their communication. They were very timely with the estimate, the work, and the completion date. The only negative thing was I had to take a vacation day for them to come out and they were not able to come out that specific day. They did end up making up for it by throwing me an added service for this issue. This more than made up for it.

I called this company on a Sunday because a gurgling sound was coming from my kitchen sink when either of the upstairs toilets were flushed. They set a time to come out the next day (Monday) and said they would call me when in route to let me know they were on their way, which they did. When I got the call they were on their way, I explained that I hadn't heard any strange noises coming from the sink so maybe I didn't have a problem after all, but to come anyway because I had something else that I thought they could fix. Rich and another tech (don't recall his name) arrived and Rich explained that there was probably no water in the drain because it would have settled overnight which would explain why I hadn't heard the noise that morning. I told him that we had a problem 16 years ago with roots in the sewer line and he asked what was done to correct the problem; I told him I didn't know because my husband took care of it back then. He quoted a price of $639 to "snake" under the house to clear the line. The other problem that I had was a slow drip coming from an outside pipe that I believed to be part of an irrigation system that I no longer used. I asked if he could figure out a way to turn it off (my thought was there is probably a knob under the house that just needed to be tightened). He went out and looked at it and came back and said the mushroom cap on top had cracked (most likely due to freezing) and would need to be replaced. He started looking thru what I guess was a price catalog and stated that he was calling someone to get a price because the one in the book may not be the right size because the price "seemed too high". He failed to mention how much the one in the book was or how much the person on the phone quoted. He proceeded to write up the work order and explained that snaking the line was only a temporary fix and that he would schedule the camera guy to come check the sewer pipe for any blockage. He presented the work order and I was surprised (shocked actually) to see the total cost would be $1222.03. Had I known before the work order was written up that it would cost $583 to correct a slow drip in an irrigation pipe that's not in use, I would have passed on that fix. I signed off on it anyway and the work was completed. Only thing left now was to schedule the camera guy to come out; Rich asked if I would be home tomorrow and I explained that I had the day off today, but I would be back at work tomorrow. He scheduled the camera guy to come later that day. I asked Rich for a ballpark figure of what it may cost if roots are found in the sewer; he couldn't give me a figure- said it would depend on how big of an area would need to be 'patched'. He also stated that they would know that I paid some today and would take that into account. I settled up with Rich and 45 minutes after he left, camera guy (Will) calls and leaves me a voice message that he is "tied up on another job and will not be be able to break away today", but will come tomorrow and give me a call to let me know what he found. Next day (Tuesday), Will calls me at work and says that he found roots in the sewer pipe 10 to 12 feet in from the street and it would cost $2100 to fix. I called him back later that evening and asked how they would go about fixing it. He said they would need to dig down 41/2 to 5 feet and replace a section of the pipe. At that point, I decided I needed to get another opinion/estimate. Thursday morning after showering, I find that my downstairs bath and hallway is completely flooded (water apparently backed up in the toilet and overflowed). Yeah, I know he said it was a temporary fix, but I fully expected that a $639 snake job would buy me more than 3 days! I had someone (found on Angie's List) come within a few hours and they camera'd the line and discovered that the sewer pipe on my property had become disconnected from the county sewer pipe at the street. Yes, we did see a few roots in the line, but they were insignificant. I hate to think that I could have ended up shelling out an additional $2100 to M&S and still have a drain problem. The company that I went with charged $1200 to correct the problem.

MIchael and Sons was professional from start to finish. Estimates (plural) on new HVAC units were promptly provided, and the options were intelligently discussed. Work was scheduled to accomodate our schedule, and performed on time by installers who were competent and personable. The system is working just as promised.

Everything was great. They were clean, tidy and on time. They did a good job.

Had three different types of services. The techs were punctual and professional and very safety conscious. Also put on shoe protection to avoid messing up my floors. Completed tasks in a timely manner and suggested future safety issues needing repair which were sensible and not just a sales pitch. A/C working better than when it was brand new. Dispatcher dropped one of my tasks requested in advance but was quickly resolved the same day. Josh even asked if I needed breakfast to be picked up on his way. Les was very thorough with the A/C. Robert and Brian cleaned out and repaired the ducts in a reasonable amount of time. I would not hesitate to recommend them and use them again.

From start to finish it was a good experience. They took their time analyzing the problems and then resolved the issues. I have had several different techs here and they are all great.

Eric arrived on time and was not only professional but very friendly. I had a problem with one of the recessed lights installed by another electrician. One of the fixtures always burned out the bulb after approx. 3 months. Eric was able to repair the wire and tighten the light fixture. He also repaired the wiring in the switch box allowing me to turn the recessed lights on & off from 2 switch boxes. Eric took the time to explain the cause of the problems and the resolution. I also requested estimates for future electrical work, which he was able to provide. I was also very pleased with cost for the work that was done. I will definitely use Michael & Sons again. Great service!
