The initial service was great. Since that time my ac has quit three times. My old heat pump was 15 years old and I never had a problem. I've had nothing but trouble all summer. of course it stops working on the hottest days of the year. They did respond and come out at 2 am and they fixed it. They took care of the problem with the install so hopefully the problem does not continue. Also, every employee that I have come across has been professional, except for one.

They arrived and in order to check system he turned down the temp to 66. He allowed my system to run for app 1.5 hours at that temp. He didn't really find any operational problems But he said my freeon was low, app 2-4 pounds and wanted to charge 125 for first pond then 75 for each additional. When he tried to contact me I was in a meeting and i couldn't be reached, so he didn't chage the system. This was a Friday. However starting that night and all weekend when I ran the system it couldn't cool below 77. So I called them back and when they came out Monday they indicated it was frozen up and he showed me the ice that was still on it. This had not been an issued prior and I can not say for certain but letting this system run at that low of a temp for that long probably caused it to freeze up. Combined with me then trying to get it to cool over the weekend keep exacerbating the problem. I let it sit for a day. I found a local guy to come charge my system for 55 per pound. It has worked fine so far this summer. I know I will have to replace the coil or the system and I am making plans to his in October. You can draw you own conclusions from my experience ...

They were very professional from start to finish. The installers were friendly, courteous and professional and made sure that were satisfied with the entire install.

I was very satisfied with them. They were very professional, covered their shoes, did excellent work, explained everything, and cleaned up.

They are wonderful and I have used them many times. They are very equipped to respond to emergency situations and the people who work for them are not independent contractors. Instead, they actually work for the company. They are also extremely courteous. They are a good company to work with and are reliable.

They did a very good job. They were very thorough in their first assessment, and corrected another company’s assessment.

They sent a fast talker who did the repair, and then I ended up signing up for a winter check-up. I realized that I already have a contract with someone else, so I am trying to get my money back. The repair itself went well.

The work turned fine. The guy who came covered his feet when he was coming into the house.

When they came out, I already knew what the issue was with my water heater and simply asked them how much it would be to repair that part, and the continued to try to sell my wife a new water heater. I did not hire this company to perform the actual maintenance.

They did a great job! They cleaned up after themselves and they only evidence they left of their presence was that they left everything better than it was before. If I could rate them higher than an A I would!

5 other companies could not come out on short notice for our backed up kitchen sink. Michael and Sons dispatched a tech within hours. Steve, the tech was very thorough with his inspection and gave me all the info I needed to make a decision about the current problem and other potential problems in our new older home. Steve started the work immediately after my authorization. He stayed to finish the job til 7 pm. He replaced sewage lines that were almost totally clogged, replaced a toilet line that had been installed the wrong direction, installed the new garbage disposal I had on hand and replaced the crazily configured drain under the kitchen sink. He advised us on one section of the line that was going to cause us problems in the future but due to it's location in the wall, we were hoping to limp by on that one.

The scheduling receptionist was exceptionally polite. We scheduled our service for a Friday and received a 4 hour window of time, noon to 4 pm. The serviceman never showed up and didn't call until 4:30pm to say he was running late. We rescheduled for the following Friday. On that day the serviceman was on time and professional. The work appeared to be high quality. My wife especially appreciated that the serviceman brought his own shoe covers to use when coming inside the house. Overall I give them a B because wasting a customer's entire half day is kind of a big deal.

I had another HVAC company out and they wanted to install a whole new system-which I do not need. They were a little h****** me ,Michaels in trying to sell a service contract. I have never believed in service contracts. Despite this, I would use them again.

the man who came out was very nice, knowledgeable and professional. however I had to refuse service because it was cost prohibitive. I paid the 29.00 fee for them to come to my home.

The first system required a start capacitor and the system returned to running operation, That worked fine. But on the 2nd system the technician could not get outdoor compressor to start running. The diagnosis was to replace the outdoor unit and the rest of the system (they are matched outside and inside) since compressor was possibably locked and would not start. The technician seemed to run throught the tests and explained further that sometimes they can free a stalled compressor, but this was not the case. Quote for a Replacement! In early spring 2013 I had another HVAC company out for service and on the failed outdoor unit (bad compressor) I received a new diagnosis. The interior thermostat was at fault not the compressor and the outdoor compressor started and ran fine. This was a surprise since I had trusted the original Michael & Son technician that was completely wrong. What a shock. As a result of waiting until spring I now have a working unit with only the thermostat to be replaced. Michaels's did not give a complete and accurate service call. I received an estimate and after seeing the other company's technicians go through the steps - I realized this service and estimate were incomplete. That would have cost me over $ 5000. if I trusted Michael and Sons.

I was very disappointed for all the TV advertising they do.

They arrived on time, very courteous and professional. I plan on using them for a new water heater.

They came out. They were very good, and they told me the amount. Everything was great.

It wasn't as helpful as I was hoping it would be. The air conditioning wasn't working and they just blamed it on the way the duct work was designed, and the house was 50 years old. They said the unit needs to be cleaned. He took a look at the unit and he did some cleaning, but then tried to ad on cleaning the burners. It was a pretty significant price to do it. It just seemed like they were trying to up sell me.

He fixed everything but the sink and I had to remind him that I called for the sink. He said that would be an additional $200. I told him that was the only thing I called for and he had already done other work. He said he could do it for $100 then. I think they?re way overpriced. They charge for each individual thing they do. They didn?t do much and charged me over $1000. They brought a mat and put it at my front steps to clean their feet on. I was not impressed. It was clear they were trying to do extra work. They were going to take the bathroom sink off the wall for a large amount of money. When I told them I didn't want to do that, they told me to put Clorox in it and let it sit for a while. He took a small job and tried to turn it into a much larger job. When he did fix the sink that I originally called for, he put the drain piece in crooked.

The quote was literally over four times the other quotes we received--Michael and Sons quoted over $5,000, but we ended up going with Family Electric for about $1,300. Since we didn't get past the quote, we can't speak to the quality of their work.

Quick response time and tech was polite but tried to make repairs that weren't needed. Also tried to over charge for the cost of the repair.

Everything was done to my satisfaction.

My negative feedback is that the sales pitch started from the moment they walked in the door. They recommended an additional $1403 of work, plus an annual service agreement at $689. I told them I wanted to replace just the igniter, which they honored after one reminder that the service agreement would reduce the price of the extra work they recommended. I produced an Angie's List coupon for 10% off $100. Since that would give me $10 off, and I was having more than $100 of work done, he gave me a $25 gift card to use on this visit.
