I cannot commend enough the work performed by JJ Loehr and his crew at my residence. Loehr Lightning Protection Co installed a surge suppression system during new construction in 2012. Having experienced several surge-related failures in the interim, I contacted them. Not only was the problem identified quickly, it was also fixed in a timely manner. Turns out that floating grounds were created during subsequent modifications to the house. Loehr was not responsible for the problems, but the repairs were still done under warranty. I was not expecting there to be no charge ! Bottom line; a quality service which places high value on customer satisfaction. Very refreshing in this day and age ……… well done !

Technicians arrived on time and proceeded to check existing system. Attempted to re-install weathervane/lightning rod assembly on top of cuppola that had been blown down by storm. Technicians indicated they needed to take existing weathervane back to shop to refit mounting assembly. Upon arriving back at the site, they stated that existing assembly was not useable and brought another weather vane/rod with new mounting bracket. They began mounting the steel assembly to the copper cuppola. When I questioned installing steel against copper, i.e. dissimilar metals they had no idea of what I was talking about and proceeded with their work. Rather than continue to argue, I realized that i would need to address the situation myself later. Other than that they refastened a braided copper ground line to the structure and straightened four rods on the ridge of the barn. They then proceeded to install the first surge protector in the electrical panel. They had to remove a breaker and wire the surge protector into the breaker. Upon completing that, I noticed lights on that breaker were blinking and suggested there was a problem which turned out to be a loose connection. At that point I decided not to install the second surge protector as I was rapidly losing confidence. Finally when I received a bill that I considered high for the amount of performed, I noticed the bill was not itemized. I called the company and was sent a brief breakdown for labor, travel and materials although parts was still a lump some but the bill had been reduced by $65
