+ -1 moreI am so glad I found Kohmar's Indoor Services! They had great communication, called to check in before coming, showed up on time, and were very nice and friendly. We have a challenging crawl space, but they didn't blink twice. Just **zip zip** into the small hole and tummy crawled over to the dryer vent. They discovered and fixed a hole in the tube and gave us great advice on a major change we were about to make - you don't need to do it. I admire a company who can not only do what they say they will do but also provide guidance that saves us money even if it means less money for them. I feel they gave us great advice and I will trust them in the future for other services than just the dryer vent cleaning.

+ 0 moreThe first job was to clean air ducts. I had discovered that some mold was around the heat registers and simply freaked. They cleaned the registers, the areas around the ceiling registers, and left everything tidy and in good repair. I was impressed with the extent of their cleaning and somewhat embarrassed about the condition of the vents they had to clean. I had no Idea just how disgusting they had become even though I knew I had a good deal of household maintenance that was overdue. They had good information related to the causes for this type of event which was politely shared, and they did not leave a chemical smell in the house. They also provided references for me to purchase new registers, at my request. I did not have time for them to clean the carpets on the same day, but a date was set for the next week. On the date of the carpet cleaning I had "over-cooked" hard boiled eggs and set off the smoke alarms in the house. Not a nice smell at all! By the time the carpets were cleaned, everything smelled fresh again. Sadly some old (unexpected) stains under a love seat were not removed, but I doubt that any carpet cleaning service could have removed those and I was grateful for the fresh smell in the house. Overall, they are professional, efficient, well informed, and polite individuals who do quality work.
Description of Work: they cleaned air ducts: this involved removing all ceiling and floor registers - cleaning those registers and the area around them on the ceilings, cleaning each duct area near the registers, running a vacuum type cleaning through from the attic to the area under the house and finishing with a "green" cleaning agent to kill any mould. On another date they cleaned the wall to wall carpet in the living and dining room areas. The first job was to clean air ducts. Description of Work: The firm perfomed a dryer vent cleaning and inspection of my electric dryer. They used a commercial grade wet dry vac and cleaned the dryer vent inside the house and outside the house. They also went into the crawl space to check for any leaks and holes.

Although I had not contracted for carpet cleaning, they offered it and performed the steam cleaning and deodorizing to my satisfaction at a very reasonable additional charge. (HVAC cleaning done with coupon.) Answered all my questions thoroughly. I will definitely use them again.

I'm assuming the duct work was cleaned thoroughly - the part I could see was clean and the dust levels were much lower once they finished. They did try to leave some tools, but I caught them before they left the drive. One of their reps did have to return to pick up some supplies they left that I didn't find until later.

Set-up equipment and performed cleaning as stated and even went the extra mile to provide a temporary filter material for one of my returns until I could get to the hardware store and purchase a replacement that evening. They were very detailed and left no dust nor residue. Even scrubbed clean the greasy kitchen air vent!! Gunther (my dog) even gave them his "paw of approval"!!!; they showered him with attention too!!! Brian went over air return filter alternatives and the benefits of each. + -1 moreWe contacted Brian to schedule the duct cleaning for our rental property and the next week we had a walk-through so he could check out the hvac system and to see if there was any evidence of mold in the ducts or handler. We wanted to hire Kohmar specifically because if there was evidence of mold they could perform the required remediation. After the initial walk-through, Brian did ease the tenant's mind that the spots of mold they saw on the humidifier attachment was not a sign of mold throughout the system. While we had a few issues with scheduling the actual duct cleaning due to the "difficult" tenants, we finally coordinated the appointment and Brian and his crew were very prompt and quick in completing the cleaning without being too invasive in the hectic household. Our company appreciates how understanding Brian was concerning the tenants and we highly recommend his services to our colleagues in property management/real estate!
