Jason, one of the owners of the company, and Walter just left after cleaning our air ducts and dryer vent. Before coming this morning, they called to tell us they were on the way, arrived on time, told us their names, put "booties" on their shoes so they wouldn't track dirt in the house, asked if we had any questions (we didn't), put cloths down in the hallway under some equipment, worked non-stop for two hours till they completed their work, went around the house a second tirme to make sure that all vent covers had been put back, asked if we had any questions (and answered them), had us sign a paper that they'd completed the work and left. We were so pleased with their pleasant personalities, level of professionalism and quality of work that we immediately signed up, through Angie's List, for them to clean our carpets on another day. Note: There's a great special on carpet cleaning that is good for about another three weeks.

The cleaning and service was fantastic from start to finish. The special offered via Angie's list was more than fair, and the recommendations from previous reviewers was a big factor on deciding to work with them. They showed up on time. Never rushed the job, and made sure that I was comfortable with what they were doing. I am always worried about being upsold, but never did I feel that way. Great Job!

Purchased the house four years ago and wasn't sure when the vents were cleaned before that. When they were finished the whole house smelled great.

They showed up on time, were courteous and polite. Left things cleaner than it was before they showed up. Even replaced light bulbs in my 10 ft ceilings for me!

Faultless performance. Scheduling was easy, workers were courteous and wore "booties" when they entered the house. Did not try to sell upgrades etc. once they were in the house. We've had other national brand carpet cleaners arrive with their special deals and begin a sales pitch for the additional services they recommend. We did not buy the options so they gave our carpet a slap and a tickle and were gone. Kohmar did not do that, they delivered purchased services without playing the bait and switch game. High points for corporate integrity!

This job was originally scheduled for another date, but that date got snowed in. I appreciated Brian's early call (7:30 a.m.) to reschedule the appointment. We rescheduled for 1/31 at 8:30 a.m. However, after reviewing my calendar, I called Brian to move that time. He suggested between 12:30 and 1. I planned my day around that appointment. At 8:30 a.m., two guys showed up. I told them the appointment was moved to 12:30. They looked confused but left. (I had a 9:30 dentist appointment). I waited at my house at 12:30 and called Brian at 1 p.m. when no one showed up or called. Granted, the workers called about 8:05 a.m. to say they were on their way. I was in the shower and missed the call. They came anyway. Brian profusely apologized, saying he remem bbered our 12:30 change over the phone, but forgot to put it in the "system." We rescheduled for 2/1 at 2:30, saying the appointment would take about 3 hours. Guys were punctual for each arrival. Same two guys showed up. I forget the first guy's name, but his partner was Walter. Very nice and courteous. Put "slippers" on before entering the house. We walked around the whole house to show them where all the vents were. We had a few items in the way, but they reassured me things would be moved for the access. Job wrapped up early because they presumed we had two heat pumps, as "most homes do." That question was never asked and I don't like assumptions. That would have prevented my husband and I from changing our Friday afternoon plans b/c of their estimated time frame. No big deal, but we did do some rearranging based on that assumption. House smelled "clean" - kinda an odd smell, but the guy reassured me that the smell eventually will go away. It was an enviro-friendly smell. Vents looked clean and things went well. I was disappointed to find one vent cover not returned in place. I would have also appreciated their suggestion of turning off the heat pump as they worked. Lots of cold air entering the house through their equipment needs. Cold air blowing on me b/c I didn't think about it until much time into the job. I turned it off to save some energy.

The job went well with the exception that the cleaning machine failed the first day. Kohmar brought another machine the next day, finished the job and threw in cleaning my drier duct at no charge to compensate for the delay. Overall, these folks were courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. The two-man crew (including the owner) finished the work in a reasonable time period, cleaned up after themselves and left our furniture and carpet looking good. I would use them again.

Great experience with a service I did not even know existed until Angie's List advertised it. Our house is 30 years old and ducts had never been cleaned. The Kohmar team was so knowledgeable and efficient. They took time to explain every step and made recommendations for the future. I purchased a new filter and grate for our upstairs air handler which will be installed in about a week. Now we don't have to climb into a low attic space to change the filter. Can't wait!!

see above. I do not feel comfortable having these people in my home again. The vacuum system they used was not a closed system and they just put dust into the air. I was having asthma problems at the time and this aggravated them.

Had a little trouble reaching Komar via email initially, but phone call was returned promptly and apparently they had been having their website and computer system upgraded during the period when I had emailed. Their team arrived promptly, completed job as described in Angie's List "big deal" and were courteous and professional. The team leader also made me aware of a repair needed to the exterior dryer vent, which I hadn't noticed and appreciated. Great experience and good value for service.

Contractor arrived promptly at 9am as promised. Described to the contractor that I wasn't getting good drying with my installed dryer. They quickly found the proper ventilation port and determined that it was completely clogged. They used an industrial shop vac to suck out the debris to clear the dryer vent. My only complaint would be that they could have used shoe booties to cover the work shoes as they came back into the house after inspecting the location of the dryer vent to the outside of the house. Also, when replacing the dryer back into the dryer room, the flooring was left bunched and uneven.

I called for an appointment and had to leave a message. As of this date, I received no return call. With the rush of getting ready for Christmas, I have not made another call to them. Since the coupon is good until March 2013, I am going to wait until after Christmas, then make repeated calls until I get a response. Elaine L Minier

I had to move the appointment by about one hour and he was very nice about coming a little later. Everything was ok, except the man who came did not have "booties" on to protecdt floor/carpeet. It was raining outside and his shoes squeaked on my floors. He was very nice and professional otherwise. The reason for having this service done was because lint was escaping from the driver vent and littering our ddriveway. Cleaning out the vent did not resolve the proble

First he explained what he would be doing. He then pulled the dryer out and cleaned behind and under it, then cleaned out the ducts. He then put it all back exactly as it had been originally. He also gave me some advice on how to deal with the lint buildup regularly so it wouldn't get clogged up. Brian was very professional and friendly. Two gentlemen arrived on time to clean our dryer vent. They did just that - quickly, courteously, and efficiently. I would use them again for this or one of their other offered services.

Brian and his assistant arrived promptly at the appointed time. They performed the dryer vent service quickly and efficiently. They also cleaned up after performing the service and the assistant went so far as to clean the lint from the mulched area where the dryer vent is located. Cleaned up after their service, which I really appreciated. Professional and friendly. Would use them again and would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends.
