Angie's List members need to know about this realtor! There are so many positive online review of realtors out there that it can be difficult to make sense of who is good and who is unusually good. So I wanted to share some specific reasons why our recent experience selling and buying with Jamie Younger and her team was exceptionally good: 1. Jamie is a candid realist. She flat out told us that our house was not worth what we though it was, and she was not interested in trying to sell it at our proposed price! This kind of candor can be touch to hear, but it ultimately saves time, money and frustration. 2. Jamie puts serious resources towards getting you top dollar for your home. She PAID for a (great) certified stager to rework our interior decoration and then PAID for a professional real estate photographer who took beautiful ultra-wide-angle photos. Our home sold in TWO days for $5k OVER list price. 3. Jamie has a high-functioning team and a great network. She has several folks who work directly for her that handle portions of your transaction. These folks were well-organized, responsive, and a joy to work with (Karli!) They freed up Jamie to focus on the most critical moments of the transaction (renegotiation, etc.). She also pulled in other Long & Foster realtors for opinions on pricing. 4. Jamie has a dedicated transaction coordinator (Corbin!) It's impossible to put into words how helpful (and stress-reducing) it is to have someone on your side chasing down every loose end on a deal and ensuring your underwriter/inspector/appraiser/lawyer/surveyor/service provider treat you right. 5. Jamie has access to some pretty fancy tools through Long & Foster. For example, she used a tool to identify that in our area people generally move within a 3-mile radius and change homes every nine years. She then sent a targeted post card advertising our home to the top 100 closest homes where the owner had lived there 8-10 years and had a home value which would quality them to buy our house. 6. Jamie has a steady hand and a natural gift for real estate. Her calm, positive demeanor, and decades of experience really give you a sense of security in the midst of stressful developments and challenging negotiations. It's hard to put a price on that.
