.On their first attempt, the technician didn't have all the parts he needed (the spout), so he had to leave the job unfinished and come back the next day. We noticed two things after he had left: 1) He had removed and replaced our $100 solid brass showerhead (which had no problems) with a much cheaper-looking plastic unit. 2) The spout (really an exposed brass pipe since he didn't have the right spout on his truck) was leaking hot water during a shower. We called that evening and left a message pointing out these two items and requesting that the technician return our showerhead and make sure to address the leaking faucet on his next visit. By early afternoon the following day we had heard nothing back from Foster's. We called and were told that we were "the next job" and he would be over as soon as possible. When we asked about the showerhead, the rather rude customer service person (not Gail, by the way, who has always been nice) told us that we should have told the technician that we didn't want it removed....so it was our fault. When we complained about his showing up at our house as late as 4 pm for a multi-hour job, she told us that they have technicians out on jobs as late as 11 pm! So plan accordingly. We welcomed him again to our home between 4 and 5. By 6:30 he had determined that he couldn't fix it, and that the valve he had installed must have been defective. He did return our showerhead (it was wrapped up nicely in a rag on his truck). He told us he would have to order another unit and that it would be several days before the new one would be in. He successfully installed the new unit yesterday, about two weeks after our initial call. I'd like to point out that the technician was very polite and did the best he could given bad materials and a killer schedule. The service person we spoke to (again, not Gail) on the other hand was flat-out rude and unhelpful. The biggest issue with this place is that they seem to be oversheduling their technicians. Plan on late arrivals, tired, sweaty technicians, and delays.

The service provided was great. It was the Big Deal special. They were very courteous, professional, on time and responded promptly.

This was a great experience for us. Just purchased new home and had Foster come out on Big Deal Coupon. They were very fast in scheduling and the technician (Paul) was ontime and extremely helpful. He was very thorough in his inspection and even helped instruct my husband on how to fix a minor faucet issue if it comes up again on his own. He went out of his way to explain things to my husband and ensure everything was in working order. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a plumber who still believes in great customer service.

Noticed leak under sink and odd "chunking sound" when water was on causing water to also come through the sprayer handle. Checked on Angie's list to see that Foster P&H was very highly rated. Called Wednesday, 3/6. They could come out the next day but that was when I ran into the only issue I have with the company. They do not give a specific time or even a window. It is fully open for the target day with a phone call made 30 minutes ahead. That would not work until Monday 3/10 when i knew my wife would be having a "work at home" day and so we made the arrangements. The tech called ahead as agreed and arrived just after 12:00 noon. The install of the replacement faucet went well but he had problems with the main sink faucet repair. Apparently, the hose/sprayer I have was not a "standard" they are prepared to manage on the fly. I understand from my wife that he worked very hard on it and made a couple of parts runs to try to get something adapted to work. Finally, after several hours, he had to give up and order a replacement hose/sprayer attachment. Supposedly, that would be in by 2:oo PM today 3/11 and he could then come by and install it. (Related to me by my wife when I got home last night). This morning, I called to confirm all that and time for installation and spoke to "Gayle". Our conversation was "less promising" both for the part actually getting in and whether the tech , who has a full schedule, could come back out today. In the meantime, I had a kitchen sink and dishwasher now fully out of commission waiting the part. It would also be another "no appointment but call 30 minutes ahead" type of thing. I told Gayle I would call back later to check on the part status. Just after 2:00 PM, I called and again spoke with Gayle. She was in the process of checking as I called. Called me back in about 45 seconds and said they were waiting on a delivery truck and the tech would wait a bit to see if it came in. I let her know that my one issue with time was between 3:20 and 4:30. At 2:57. Gayle calls me and lets me know the tech has the part and is on his way. He would only need a few minutes to finish the work and would need to do it now or we would have to reschedule for another day.. I was skeptical he could even make it in time much less complete the work but I said let's give it a shot. Paul, the tech, arrived at 3:10, running to my door. He was done in 10 minutes including install, testing, explanations, bill, and check received (And a run back to his truck for a tool). WOW! Everything good, everything right! So let me sum up this lengthy review.... 1. I don't like the company policy of no appointment, no window give, just a 30 minute phone call heads up. I did agree to it, but I just don't like that policy. In this case, it was almost a double whammy based on what i heard during the morning call to Gayle. So why did I give the "A"s? 2. First, as I mentioned above, I agreed to the policy. No one twisted my arm. Second, and the most important part of this review, is that the two people I had contact with, Gayle and Paul, were obviously working very hard in the background to make things work right for me. Gayle, careful to not over promise was working hard to coordinate a successful resolution. Paul, just plain hustled and worked hard, fast, and accurately. People like Paul and Gayle make a business successful. Nice job folks! You made me a very satisfied customer and earned the "A"s.

The technicians seemed overworked, and actually said that they had a lot on their schedule. They did drain the hot water heater which turned out to be quite a challenge since the drain on the heater was turned to the wrong side and it was difficult to access. I had to encourage them to look at some of the faucets as that was part of the agreement and their answer to their leaking was that they were old and needed replacing. They had an angle valve break off immediately and then they recommended that we have all the angle valves replaced.

Team was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and responsive in every interaction. They stood by their work, ensuring all was delivered as promised. Would definitely recommend / use again.

The plumbers from Foster were punctual, professional, and efficient. They quickly assessed the problem as an underground leak in my water line. They were able to diagnose and repair the problem. I was fearful the cost to repair would be high but, to my surprise, it was quite reasonable. The two plumbers working on this project kept me informed and explained the problem to me and also the fix. I simply could not be more impressed. Foster Plumbing & Heating will now be my go-to company when issues arise.

He told my daughter everything was 'okay'. Since this was largely an inspection and water heater flush, I expected some kind of feedback.

After a week I called to set up the appointment and left a message. Never heard from them. Then one day he just shows up. I was not home my husband was just by chance. I am the one who takes care of home maintenance and working with repairmen so husband did not have a clue as to what to ask.

Had to reschedule 3 times due to weather. They were great to work with and rescheduled to when it was convenient for me. They called when they were on the way and arrived on time. One person drained the water heater while the other inspected the plumbing. They answered questions and had suggestions for a frozen pipe that I had in the crawl space. Very happy with the service.

I got an email after my initial purchase, indicating that I would be called the following business day or if I preferred, I could call and schedule the appointment. Because there was no plumbing emergency, I did not call to immediately schedule but the representative from Foster's did not call for 5 days! Regardless, once the appointment was scheduled, the technicians showed up on time, introduced themselves and performed the services in a very efficient and professional manner. They explained what they were examining and gave a verbal report to me regarding their findings.

The only reason I gave them a "B" in responsiveness is because I thought they were supposed to call me under this new rapid connect plan... I bought it 23 Jan 2014, submitted by dates, but did not hear from them. I called on either 13 or 14 Feb, and they responded quickly by coming out on the 18th. I think I will just ignore the rapid connect thing and just call next time. Foster's did everything they said they would do in a professional manner. When I buy these preventative service deals, I like to watch and ask lots of questions so that if I want to do the same maintenance in the future, or if a problem pops up, I have a better understanding of the equipment. The Foster's technician patiently answered all of my questions and taught me about hot water heaters while we waited for the hot water heater to drain. He also checked the vents in my attic, and all of the fittings for my toilets and sinks.

I called for an appointment and immediately received an answer. They had great appointment times starting at 7:30 am and I was able to get an appointment quickly for a Friday at 7:30 am. The plumber showed up a little after 7:30. He was professional and introduced himself. He went through each room with plumbing and checked it out. He checked under the house. He also drained the water heater. I wish they had a checklist of what they checked similar to what HVAC and termite inspections have. I am not sure if he checked my propane fireplace or not. However, he said that everything looked good. I had a wet spot on my kitchen ceiling which he didn't mention. Not sure if it was because he didn't see it or he didn't think it related to plumbing. As far as the inspection, I think it went fine. However, because I knew I had issues that needed to be resolved, I didn't feel totally comfortable that I would get the service I desired. Both my upstairs and downstairs tub/showers drip constantly. He did notice that. I don't get hot water out of my tub downstairs so it can not be used in the winter. I took off the handle to the shower upstairs to get to the hot water. He gave me a quote to replace both knob/valve units as well as to repair them. I shared with him what information about the parts I had received from a friend. I tried to give him the part number but he didn't seem interested. I asked if I could get the parts, he said I could. I asked if he could verify the part number by looking at it. He said that he would have to charge me $120 to take off the cover to get the part number. I think at this point I got a little confused about how this was going to work. I wasn't sure how he was going to repair something if he didn't verify what valves were in there to start with. I also didn't feel comfortable ordering parts if they didn't verify it. If I ordered the wrong parts, then I would have to pay for the service call to be told the parts were wrong. I did not want to pay $120 to have him do a 10 minute job to verify a part. I would not have minded the offer to pay the $120 upfront and to have at least some of it refunded if I booked the job with them. I would have thought that was fair. I did not feel assured that if I decided to have the parts replaced that it was even possible or that it would work. I felt like he was there to do just that job but not take care of me as a customer. Nor, did I feel like he used that service call to engage future business. I think it was a missed opportunity for the company. They missed out on extra business as well as having a regular customer. I ended up calling another provider.

They were respectful, on time, and did a good job.

Could not have been easier. I called them, they gave me a soft quote based on my information and then they came out the next morning. Service was fast and efficient. The price came in right around the quote price. Just had to print out a AL coupon for 5% off.

It was excellent. They did a water heater flush. They were on time. They were professional. They kept me informed along the way.

The technician was very professional , did the work in a timely and efficient manner. I would definitely recommend them.

They are terrific to work with. During inspection, they did find some leaks that needed repair. No high pressure to fix, just a clear explanation. I will use them to do the repair work.

It went really well! I use them over the competition because their prices tend to be the best, they seem to be very reliable, and we’re just overall pleased. We've not had any issues with the unit since. Highly recommended!

My experienced turned out well. Scheduling went very smoothly. Two men came to do the work and it took about an hour to complete. I was very pleased with the work they did. The really took a lot of time on the Jacuzzi.

Expensive! They were the only company (of 5 bids) to require changing the line instead of flushing it. They intimated that NOT doing so would invalidate the warranty. I have not had the time to verify this claim.

Our service technician (Paul) arrived and was willing to wait until I was ready for him to start his work (he was a little early, which was great). He was professional, friendly, and answered all my questions (and I had a few). He even went out of his way to share some very helpful reading material related to my water heater (which was much appreciated). I purchased the water heater drain, flush, and in-depth plumbing inspection as an Angie's List deal and feel I got more than I paid for. I would definitely use Foster Plumbing & Heating again (even without an Angie's List deal).

Everything went very well. Paul was very nice and thorough in his duties. He explained the reason behind every inspection he performed. I was very impressed with his explanations. I would definitely use Foster Plumbing and Heating, INC., again.

I received a prompt return call and the gentleman said they would be out quickly, about 1 hour. The response was much closer to two and 1/2 hours. The young man who came to the house walked with me to where the meter was (about 1400' from the house) and then just continued to say "This is going to be expensive". The county utilities personnel had told me that they were fairly certain that the break was right at the meter based on water in the meter box. The man from Foster discounted this, told me that we should contact another leak detection agency and left. He charged me $166 to come out for 5 minutes and do nothing, although he did offer to credit my bill $166 if the leak detection agency found the leak and we called Foster back to correct the problem. The leak folks he recommended to me returned my call only after 2 weeks.

I called New Year's Eve to schedule someone to come out to diagnosis problem, within 5 mins I received a call back to say they were on the way. Light cover received a small cracked when worker took it down trying to get the water out, but nothing major; I'm just happy to have my leak fixed and very please at the response time.
