Pipe burst from winter freeze, flooding bathroom. The foster plumber (his name escapes me..) rapidly found the problem and fixed it. He was very courteous, neat, professional, and efficient. Would definitely use again.

John was the plumber who cleared the clogged drain. I was extremely satisfied with his work. He would not stop until he cleared the clogged drain line. He persevered until he got it and It was not an easy job. At no time did I hear a complaint about how hard it was to clear or that it was beyond him. He was very professional and competent.

Work was done as contracted.

THE JOB: Before turning on my A/C for the year I wanted to have a guy come and make sure everything was working properly. There was literally nothing wrong with my A/C; I just wanted someone to take a look. The job was easy-peasy and the guy these sent did the job right and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. BUT... ...THE DIFFICULT PART was contacting them to set up the appointment. After I bought the $49 deal on Thursday, 5/21, I waited 3 business days without hearing anything. I contacted them after Memorial Day weekend on Tuesday 5/26 and the proprietor emailed me the next day (Wednesday) saying he needed my phone number to set up an appointment. I gave it to him but heard nothing on 5/27 or 5/28. (meanwhile it was ~90 degrees outside all week and my house was getting hot)... Finally, I called the office at the end of the day on Thursday 5/28 using the phone number on Angie's list. The (very professional and friendly) receptionist said she did not have me in her records at all. We set up an appointment for the next day (Friday, 5/ 29) but she did not have a particular time slot. She said the tech would give me a call an hour before the tech was available. At **8AM on Friday morning**, I woke up to my doorbell ringing -- it was the A/C tech guy! He apologized that he hadn't given me the one hours notice. Like I said, he was in and out in less than 30 minutes and determined that my rooftop unit was in good condition. ... but this unpredictability and poor scheduling is why I gave them a D for Responsiveness and a N/A for Punctuality. I could make up excuses for them (it was Memorial Day weekend so perhaps key people were on vacation/ it was hot, so they were probably busy with other people's A/C units) ... but at the same time I was disappointed that it took so much effort on my part to schedule a simple A/C check-up.

Very timely and very professional. Did the work when promised. Cleaned up all materials.

The plumber was prompt, friendly, and did a good job. They were able to explain what they were doing and answered any questions we had.

I've used FPH heating for a few jobs. They've always been good and very prompt. Can't remember the exact install date off the top of my head (this review is late), it was late in the season, but I should be in good shape for next winter.

We had not done business with Foster before, but they returned our voice message in less than 2 minutes. This was about 6 pm. We told them that the wall thermostat for our Trane ac was calling for "cool" but the outside unit wasn't running. With my wife standing at the inside unit and answering questions, they diagnosed the problem and suggested a temporary fix she could make. After the conversation, she made the fix, which consisted essentially of clearing the condensate line and disabling the switch by removing and carefully securing it. The ac began running again and ran fine all night. Foster made a service call the next morning, repaired the switch, and re-installed it. The technician was experienced and knowledgeable. My wife and I are very pleased with Foster's work and everything else about the transaction. We entered into a service agreement with them yesterday. Incidentally, my above rating on price was "Good" simply because I don't have anything specific to compare it with.

I've used Foster before with good results. They were professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. They replaced a rusted flue pipe and collar on top of the roof. Plus, they re-secured the duct work underneath the house.

They did a great job. Showed up on time & preformed work as promised. I also had them replace some duct work on my HVAC system with the same results

Provider inspected original system and noted deficiencies in duct work that were causing poor performance on the second floor. Improved duct work was proposed in the system replacement. Installers showed up when scheduled and were very professional doing the work. Significant improvement in second story air flow was noted after the installation which will improve cooling in the summer. A representative came out the day after the installation to add final refrigerant to the system and go over its operation. Foster's quote on the installation was competitive with a similar quote that didn't offer duct work improvements. This is our second experience with Foster Plumbing and Heating, the first being a similar installation at our daughter's house, which also benefitted from improvements in the duct system. The family is pleased with both installations.

Provider was professional and personable. He answered all of our questions and performed the service within a reasonable time frame.

We realized later that the technician who arrived never gave us his name, nor was it on the business card I asked him for or the report he sent via email later, confirming. He began by telling us the "short" hot water heater we had, which was in a very tight space, could not be replaced because of changes in government regulations for the heaters which makes them taller and "fatter". He said there were no more of the old kind of heaters available and made a phone call to a warehouse to confirm that. We would have to put a new, larger heater under the house and re-plumb. He also told us our heater had a date of 1983, but the company that replaced it said a 1990 date was on the label. He told us the leak we had at the tub/shower diverter control would require the whole assembly be replaced (it could not be fixed because of advanced age) and quoted $707 as the cost, we believe just labor. We would need to provide access from the other side of the wall and repair drywall ourselves. We later had another plumbing company come out and were told the hot water heater regulations were changing, but there were certainly heaters the size of our available and proceeded to provide and install one. This company also fixed the tub/shower diverter from the bathroom side without needing to replace it. Both these jobs cost far less than the quote from the Foster tech. We felt that the Foster technician was trying to sell us services we did not need, and we believe that the statements he made regarding replacing the hot water heater were deliberately misleading.

They responded immediately and when flushing the second water heater discovered a leak that was damaging my basement. They then returned promptly once I agreed on what needed to be done, and they installed the new water heater. I had a problem with the shower temperature the next day and they came back right away and made the necessary adjustment. Two different techs. Both very good and professional. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

They showed up on time and had an odd-ball part on their truck to fit the pipes in our old house. Way better than the kludge I had cooked up. Great job, and thanks!

Plumber Jacob Banks was great! He walked us through the whole process and answered all of our questions. Jacob ended up having to dig a hole from the water meter to where the pipe was leaking...no easy task. He discovered not one, but two separate leaks in the pipe due to the hard freeze. Repaired them both and tested the system. Everything worked out great. What made the difference for me...and why I would use Foster's again...was that Jacob was courteous and professional. He took to the time to explain what was happening...he didn't just come in and do the work. As a customer service professional myself, I understand the importance of communicating with customers and conveying the confidence you have in yourself and the work you perform...and Jacob did just that! Thank you!

It went very well he gave me alot of good suggestions. I was happy with the service.

He came out and i showed him what the issues were. I showed him the drip. He said he could repair a small drip but it would cost $300+. I told him i didn't want the services anymore because I felt it was too expensive for how small of an issue it was.

Had to come out twice but problem was resolved at no extra cost.

The plumber arrived when promised, well dressed, clean and very professional. The problems were analyzed and addressed quickly. The total job was done in under an hour. All parts needed were with him. We ran the dishwasher to confirm all connections were tight. All is well now. The vanity sink can now be used by turning on the water to regular flow -- we used to try to limit the water since it would not drain correctly. We are definitely keeping this company on file for future work.

I think it went ok. I was a little disappointed that they found a "leak" in a pipe under the house as I have never used them before I thought it was strange I got a "deal" and then the found a leak but it very well could have been. Always hesitant to sign up for this maintenance stuff though due to the fact that I don't know if when they find a leak if there really was a leak or not. Wife was home with 2 kids and didn't have time to deal with it.

I love my new toilet. It has the option of a light flush or more powerful flush. They removed my old toilet and replaced it with the new one without incident. I think this toilet will save me money on my water bill in the future. He showed up right on time and did the job quickly and accurately. I would hire this company again in the future if I have plumbing issues. I wish I could afford to replace all of my toilets with the type of toilet they installed.
