+ -1 moreIt went very well. We had a few headaches from the city of Richmond (too be expected) on the demolition of the old structure, sewer and the driveway.... I'm still waiting on getting the driveway resolved.
Description of Work: New home construction - small ranch craftsman style bungalow within Richmond City limits. One story Three bedroom, Two bath, carport, deck and front porch. Contract entailed initial discussion of what I was looking for from a prior lot interest, to some design input, to demolition, and construction. I had input on fixtures, paint, siding, some plan layout, etc. Builder was extremely knowledgeable and offered excellent artistic input on design.

+ 0 moreWe took bids from 5 local contractors. Charlene was recommended by a co-worker, whose house she had built. We saw the house and liked everything about it, and heard good review of her as contractor. Her bid was very competitive, and she also seemed to 'get' what we were looking for in terms of aesthetics. The work started on time and progressed steadily, despite several changes we requested along the way. She brought in very good carpenters, brick layers, tilers, etc and was constantly on the site, always quick to respond to questions and concerns. She seemed to take a personal interest in the success of the project. The addition turned out beautifully, and everyone marvels when they come over. We know several other folks who have had Charlene do work for them and they are always pleased. We are always happy to recommend EC Builders.
Description of Work: We have used Charlene Dunbar as contractor for multiple projects. The largest was an addition to our house, which involved planning and drawings, some demolition, new construction, remodeling, and extensive hardscaping. Another project was improvements to our detached garage, including a pergola. She has also replaced a tongue and groove porch floor on a separate house.
