My wife and I spent many many hours working with Eagle Construction in efforts to buy a home at West Broad Village. We wrote a contract, where they would buy our existing house, and we'd then buy a new one. The price they offered was unworkable. They lowballed us in the extreme. The estimate was based on a 3 br home, when ours is a 4 br. The appraiser visited our house, saw the 4 bedrooms, and gave us good marks, but insisted on pricing it at a 3 br price. So, we gave up on that idea, after much time and effort and sold our home on our own. We understandably got way, way more money than Eagle was offering, and we went back to strike a deal. The lot we wanted was still open. Good. But wait! They planned to put a spec home there, with the 4th floor option, adding $40,000 to the cost. That put us out of reach again. The biggest problem was communication. They knew we were serious, yet didn't keep us informed about their plans. Maybe they think they can sell all the spec homes at a higher profit than what they can sell to us, but they sure have a lot of spec homes there...

The company finished the job in a timely manor and I am very pleased with the work. They did a lot of great detail work and made sure to answer any questions that we had regarding the house. I would recommend this company to anyone. They are a great down home company.
